80% of the plot was misunderstandings and feeding onto the lies. 5% was the romance and chemistry of the leads. (only thing imo that saved the show) 5% unnecessary breakup. 10% annoying cliches and the last episode of him suddenly having amnesia???!
let’s keep increasing this beautiful dramas ratings!!! it’s the top idol series in china for a reason.
anyway i already miss them, their story was the most purest form of love and yearning i’ve ever seen. lin yusen has to be one of my top yearners characters in a modern cdrama!
the way that man doesn’t force you into anything and listens to you and follows all your desires!!! if you want to take the rs slow he will take it slow.
we girls need a man like dr lin yusen in our life.

but honestly this drama was so sweet and loving to watch, the slowburn was done right, the story was bubbly and cute (even when not in dating era), mother nie being a total baddie. probably one of the best modern chinese dramas i’ve watched!!

imo i got bored after watching 10 episodes and don’t get me wrong i love a good xianxia and hmh drama, but like this has all the clichés (which im not against) that make it seem very typical on what to expect in future episodes.

in historical times being the first born and the oldest of the siblings you were seen as the figure to manage over the household.
since this is a female run household (matriarchal) the grandma has heavy expectations for shanbao to be the next future leader, hence why she’s doing all the work of running the business. plus it’s not like the other two sisters can’t learn it’s just that they don’t want to.
the only reason is bc they want to be the next heads of the family.
to all the haters who said this show will flop well where are you now???
i’m laughing my ass off, this shows ratings are only getting better. after all the hmh haters decided to gang up on his shows to reduce the ratings look where it is now 8.5 in a matter of a week.
now i can sleep peacefully at night that all the antis plans failed miserably (especially those two who were plaguing both of his dramas ratings)

however zhuang xu knew what he had when nie xiguang was pursuing him and refused to acknowledge it, now that she’s moved on man decides it’s best to act up now.
“whys the world unfair to me.” like boy you were unfair to xiguang, absolute waste of space.
