What a fantastic first episode. I love this mini-drama already. I cannot wait for the next episode. It's is beyond aesthetically beautiful. The colors, the editing, directing, the music, everything is just so appealing and captivating. And more so, all the actors as so pleasing to the eyes. Handmade love meets revenge. Lee Soo Hyuk as Woven is beauty itself. I love it!
What a treat to have Hwang Jung Min (he looks marvelous) back on the small screen again; the last drama I saw for him was in 2012, the Korean Peninsula; I loved it. And more so, to have Im Yoon Ah and all the other great cast members alongside him; I know this will be good. A drama about newspaper reporters who struggle between their duty to honestly and courageously gather, report and interpret information and the ethical dilemmas they face. I'm sure it will be a ride filled with anxiety, excitement, cries, laughs, and everything else in between; it's the first episode, and it already had me laughing and excited. It's already giving me Argon vibes with a twist; this reminds me of Kim Joo Hyuk; may his soul rest in peace.
I'm all in for this drama too. I'm expecting the fl to be a badass.
And she is indeed, I love her live revenge channel theme and that she never uses the same methods twice but nothing beats the first one, that was golden.
hey Chingus, i don't get it. How come Aeri's friend future GeonWook can text future SeoJin to return call?! Isn't…
Because they are in the same timeline.. the communication constraints are between past Arei and future Seo Jin. The same constraints would've applied if it was past GW trying to contact future Seo Jin. Hope this helped
This is one of those dramas that keeps you thinking about it trying to figure out all the mind games until the next episode. Thoroughly enjoying this and Nam.
Again, I must commend this writer for a gem of a script where every little scene has a purpose and everything just falls into place. Even as it nears its end, Karios continues to shine, never a dull moment be it with the stellar writing, directing, editing, or acting. That this is only the screenwriter's second credit is beyond commendable. Screenwriter Lee Soo Hyun has become one of my favorite screenwriters along with Lee Soo Yeon (Stranger 1 and 2 and Life); Kim Eun Hee (Kingdoms 1 and 2, Signal, 3 Days); Jo Yong (It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Jugglers); and Kim Eun Sook (Mr. Sunshine, A Gentleman's Dignity, Goblin).
Kairos is masterful in the build-up of its storyline, the characters, and the suspense within it. The correlation and unison between the past and the present in Ae-Ri and Seo Jin, respectively, as events unfold is beyond stellar. It makes one believe and feel his hopelessness and her apprehension—the darkness engulfing him and the lightness in hers—truly brilliant scriptwriting, directing and editing, and of course, acting—just top-notch.
Shin Sung Rok is beyond astounding in how he beautifully portrays his role as the frantic Kim Seo Jin, expressing desperateness, anger, regret, and hope all at the same time. Add to that Lee Se Young is phenomenal in her role as Ae-Ri. Without exception, all the actors are great at their respective roles. I especially appreciate how clear and precise the transition between present and past. Easily this is one of the best of 2020.
