I started watching it while waiting for new episodes of MM. It didn't hook me immediately like MM did, but I've watched 6 eps now and am moderately invested in it.

So far, we have only seen her being taken by a wandering Taoist when she was supposedly sick. Her father was told it was the only way for her to survive.

It was very beautiful and very sad. The missed connections in the last few episodes were painful.

I'm torn between wanting them to admit their love for each other or keep on doing whatever they're doing... I think it's going to be a SE so it's easier to watch if they aren't completely together. But it is also frustrating to watch them not communicate their feelings.
I feel that the doctrine leader is going to force Miao Feng to kill Ziye but he will be unable to do it and is going to die. I also think that Ziye is going to meet Tong soon and discover he has the golden needles in his head and will remove them so he can recover his memories.

If you watch the opening credits, the final scene is her holding a baby.

This looks good. I can see why people mentioned TTEOTM vibes.
