Not necessarily. It's probably that date because it's airing date is not announced yet. Rumors say it may be coming…
I think it might be sites that haven't updated the release date since last December since this was a "coming soon" for the entire last quarter of 2021. Hope they air this soon, running out of patience haha
Kinda cool how writer-nim did a mirror thing with the two of them. Her blurting that hilarious confession only cause it was him and him rushing to the airport because it was her. Pretty clever writing that comes across as meaningful instead of stupid and cheesy. Seemed like the theme of the episode.
Not sure what to think of the preview. Even though HD says she couldn't keep the promise of winning a gold medal I feel like it could totally just be a decoy. Someone below said it looked like it was tied 14 all and then HD won. Can't believe we have to wait a week to find out... What do y'alls think?
Someone said on twitter maybe he is working for NASA lol. The Fl is very blunt even as an adult so I don't think…
Yeah it sounded to me like he was alive. The grandma said that she 'met' him rather than 'saw' him which I think rules out that meaning she went to his grave or smthng
Okay my theory is the show is doing a massive fake out. The part where they are looking at the photo album and…
That's what I really hope too!! Alternative theory - what if the daughter herself is the complete fake out??? She could be adopted and not her real kid which would explain the last name and the grandma asking the funny questions? I swear with how good this has been so far we're all willing to be clowns for a satisfying ending for the two leads.
The fact that people are so worried about the ending just goes to show how good the first few episodes have been. Low key I thought I'd be fine with whatever ending too as long as it was solid since the script was so tightly written but damn I swear if they don't get a happy ending I'm finna kill somebody lol
ahh.. assuming that's the case maybe February 28th would make sense since its the last day of the month and all.. Jan 28th would be a pleasant surprise though but I'm not holding my breath.

You're definitely right about that. Only an inside job would create lasting impact.
I've worked a lot with suicidal people and those who have tragically lost loved ones - many who happened to be Korean as well. It's a real shadow over society in Asia - especially but not exclusively in big cities.
It's interesting in the saddest kind of way to see the different societal burdens and cultural idiosyncrasies that create suicide epidemics. Suicide in Asian society has uniquely Asian cultural causes. And the same can be said of Western countries. I suppose that holds for any country really. To your point anyone trying to take the high ground is being both insensitive and altogether counterproductive. Though the end result is the same and just as terrible no matter where you are or how you slice it.
I don't think anyone wants to win the "who is suffering most" or "which culture is the most screwed" competitions. I know I sure don't.
Having had the privilege of traveling very broadly and meeting many people of diverse backgrounds I've come to believe that the core human sufferings are universally shared and a place to potentially meet each other halfway. A spark of hope at least. Human to Human connection. While it might be a sort of deliberate naivety to believe that most people say things out of a genuine desire to help, it is important as you said to recognise the actual impact that well intentioned statements can have - sometimes doing more damage than anyone would expect.
All the best to you and good luck with your life and career in Korea. Hopefully 2022 brings some brighter days and a bit more normality back to all of our lives.
Definitely a more understated romance. I actually prefer it. I appreciate the subtlety a lot tbh. Way less corniness and cringe and a lot more actual good chemistry. Episodes 15-16 are a little frustrating for the viewer between unresolved tension with the newly emerged Ex and the amount of mystery surrounding the motives of the big baddies behind everything. On the plus side I like that Wanqing was obviously warming up to Liu Qing before Feng Cong showed up and also that they're legitimately married. It makes this limbo section feel a little more like a challenge they have to overcome together rather than some prepubescent love triangle nonsense. Still, as the viewer I get annoyed when Feng Cong hogs screen time. Every minute his beardy mug is up there is one less of the main leads doing main lead things, or of Liu qing and his bros being generally badass. Hopefully they alleviate some of the tension in tomorrows episodes. Maybe the beginnings of a reveal to Wanqing about their childhood? I just hope they don't leave a 3 day gap of frustration until Thursday. Throw me a bone please lol.

It's really sad how suicide is so common among Korean young people. The callousness that can come with capitalism and the pressure of expectations in Asian society are no joke and borderline ridiculous at times. Where I am there is a similar problem.
To @frothymix's credit, tiptoeing around the issue isn't a long term solution at all. Although sometimes it's hard to even picture what sort of miracle it would take to unravel the infernal mess we've managed to land ourselves in.
The media and government taking measures to minimise deaths after "headline" events is really important and works for sure. It's just so effed up that that's the case... like how tragic is it that this is the best option. It's almost worse that it works iykwim.
I suppose the best we can do is start small and keep trying. Clearly the suicide epidemic is a highly complex issue on all fronts that nobody is winning. I really hope time and bright young folks can help catalyse some real change in society.
Irregardless of the truth of this tragic early departure, RIP to Kim Mi Soo and condolences to her family.
Wishing everyone good health and happiness in the New Year.
