Can anyone tell me the series title direct English translation? I feel like the current English title is not accurate.…
The Chinese name “一念关山” is reference to Li Bai’s (李白) poem “关山月”. The poem talks about the the desolate battlefield at the border: “山““月” means the moon and mountains, hence the endless desert and the desolate battlefield, “关” means border, referring to the border of the Great Wall and the wars related to it. The last few sentences in the poem laments how the soldiers miss their families as few in the war would come out alive; in return, their families look toward the border and wonder how long it would take for the soldiers to come back. “一念”means “in one thought”.
So the actual title would be something like “In one thought, the endless wars”, which fits the story and ending pretty well imo.
So NYZ used to sell jewellery in an state to make living. So why bother hiding that in prev episode? Is it a bad…
It might be more the identity. ‘员外’ is usually seen as a stout middle-aged man wearing fancy clothing with a round belly, a semi-long beard and laughs like Santa Claus 🤣
The costume is the highlight for this drama, its so beautiful and well done. CGI is good too. But for me, it's…
Apparently it wasn’t such a huge production, but because of the success of LBFAD they got a lot of funds and amped the series up… hence the story not being completely fleshed out and not enough support cast 😂 It’s also why it’s not as popular in China, it’s an expectation vs reality situation
I'm reading on various news sources they are cutting season 2 by 14 episodes. 35 will become 21? Please no. 😑
Nah, the script ends at 55 episodes. The current storyline takes place in episode 27 in the script, so 39+21=60 comes to about the right amount. At least the version of the script I’ve seen, which follows the story really closely (I believe there’s 3 versions floating around lol)
Act cool, use to said only few words, and repeated it. It was good acting? ROFL
This just shows me you’ve never even tried to understand the world of drama arts. People tend to try to take on different roles for challenge, also to be able to express something without openly expressing something is VERY HARD. So many people try to pull that and just end with 面瘫 (“facial paralysis syndrome”), you probably wouldn’t be exempt.
Whether or not you like MYC, it’s no reason to bash the actor’s work and effort. It makes you look like a bully.
If you were an actor, you’d be 1. boring af and 2. overconfident and bad at acting.
who the fk is wei daxun? never heard or see him bef?
See this is why, despite me not being a fan of either one, I find you offensive. Everybody works hard to be seen and heard, and your one liner shows how condescending ppl can be when brushing off other ppls hard work. I hate it when people fight over the smallest things, like literally it’s a tv show watch it or don’t, but it’s things like these that make me think twice about why a lot of ppl don’t like fans
why did they give MYC and the other girl so much screen time? idc about them!
At this point, if they follow through with the novel’s storyline, it’s buildup for the final arc. XQ and MYC find out what their parents did to SY, MYC has a mental breakdown (in the novel, though he’s scared shitless of his parents he also holds them in very high regards and has a lot of respect for them), runs away from home and tries to ruin himself (in the novel his family is military so anything taboo is a huge no-no).
XQ and SY’s relationship come to a climax and she reaffirms severing ties with her family. So, build up?
Also YZ is friends with SY’s cousin, and she milked the hell out of what YZ did, if you hate MYC that might be what you want to expect.
Also by the end of the novel MYC went to one of those hell on earth war zones to fight for peace (when probably it’s for suicide). This part will most likely be different though, don’t know if you want him dead or not.
Although the drama has Yang Yang, the plot is slow and why are the Chinese media and netizens glamorizing the…
Lemme just get one thing out of the way first. YY is popular. He’s super handsome. He’s got LOTS of antis. There’s bound to be people in the mix trying to stir things up. Good thing is, YY fans are actually super nice and they don’t mind netizens shipping FL with other guys as long as they don’t drag YY down with them. Obviously you haven’t read everything, because where I go most people are still very supportive of YY and the official ship. Fans and antis will never be completely fair. Consider the brother-sister a side guilty pleasure thing.
Because “骨科” (incest) is first of all a huge troll meme and second of all if done right and becomes “伪骨科” (not actual biological siblings) is actually a pretty big sub-genre in online romance fiction. Not sure how it started, but love between an older brother and a younger sister has always been a thing…you know, like those costume dramas with the senior and junior? It’s part of the “looking up to a brotherly figure turned romance thing” turned to “伪骨科” (hence sub-genre), except in this case it’s reversed (actually no, in the novel she liked her brother for a while). You actually see this in some animes too, but the more it’s being represented on screen the more unrealistic it is. Like, people who actually grow up together more often than not will not be together. I think it’s best not to judge another culture if you don’t really have that much in-depth knowledge.
If you think it’s creepy, just know it doesn’t really happen in real life, because it’s just another version of romanticized relationship. Like, do you guys honestly think Chinese netizens watch these and replicate lol? It’s more because they know it’s impossible that they’re interested. It’s the thrill of breaking the rule. At the end of the day, it’s a story.
The production probably arranged for there to be a crowd in the end to bash all thoughts of an illusion lol (no seriously, every Xian Xia drama has this slew of people thinking the happy ending is fake) props to them!
At the end, YH refined all her dark aura to became HPS power, and shatter it into everyone.Bcs Fuyin's dark aura…
In his narration, he said he was looking for her, but also not looking for her, because fate just decided that they’d meet. Also that if one day she were to fall in love with someone else, he’d willingly remove his scales and turn them into the armour that will protect them, and though he wanted to give everything, she never asked him for anything. Also, there weren’t clear indications as to how YH reappeared, in the book she reincarnated but that’s prohibited (superstition) so obviously they can’t film it that way. But YH’s words at the end is a hint as to how he might find her, so he does everything he can and prays he will find her one day, because she is everyone.
At the end, YH refined all her dark aura to became HPS power, and shatter it into everyone.Bcs Fuyin's dark aura…
Yesssss! I’m so glad someone else understood this the way I did! The way TY smiled every time he sees golden aura in between other ppl’s foreheads, it’s not only a sign of purity within the world but also a piece of YH he gathered! <3
She’s the head of another sect, the one the snake’s trying to save in the first episodes. I think she was…
Hope they have enough screen time… But the gist is that the lady was the head of Xi Yun Sect and she along with Su Ying and Ling Xiao are the 3 grandmasters of the divine cultivation sects. She saved the snake, and to punish her Su Ying cast on her an ice spell, and that’s why the snake was seeking the fire orb thingy in order to save her. But the spell was also actually a curse, and the more the snake tried to help her the faster it killed her because the spell accelerates while in contact with demonic powers. Nobody was able to save her and in the end she thanked him and dissipated. (hopefully I remembered it right)
