Title Would You Marry Me? Spoiler
First off, I don't really see any chemistry in the main leads. They had a totally brother-sister vibe until the ML foind out she was his childhood crush. That trope again! Like seriously, 30-year-old adults still being obsessed and holding a torch for someone they met when they were seven? Koreans actually think that's cute when it's actually creepy, cringey and just plain weird. No adult in their right mind would be like this. And he never really softened up to her until he saw the picture in her suitcase. Like, writer-nims, why can't you just establish an actual real connection between the characters that is not based on some weird childhood fetish thing or something from their past? That might improve the chemistry. As it is, their connection is not believable and feels so forced. Add to that the questionable moral and ethical integrity of the FL. Not sure if she is dumb or what but I don't think any twist they pull will be able to erase the fact that she lied and scammed and actually implicated an innocent person in her schemes. She's just not worthy of being an FL. Horrible story overall. The second coupke is a bit more interesting although the chemistry is lacking there as well. Dropping.

Do you have a fragile soul that expects every work of fiction to teach you a life lesson that you can use as a…
Your comment does not even deserve a reply, but I will respond just because your level of arrogance is laughable. I was not talking about morality at all. This story is about school bullying, and is therefore a very sensitive topic. Good stories leave you with a nugget of WISDOM to help you cope better with life. That has ZERO to do with morality.

You obviously do not know the difference between morality, ethics, and wisdom. You also resort to vicious ad hominem arguments, making personal attacks instead of providing intelligent discussion by responding to the points made, not the person. That is a surefire hallmark of immaturity and is mostly what kindergarten arguments are like LOL. I will let all your insults boomerang back to you, because they definitely are a very clear mirror reflecting your own ignorance and immaturity.

Fiction per se does not need to have any sort of messaging. It could be just pure entertainment. However, this particular drama obviously attempts to address school bullying in a very serious way. This has nothing to do with woke ideology but in this particular instance, sending out the wrong message could be crucial, purely practically speaking, because it could influence the minds of people with possible suicidal tendencies. Again, ZERO to do with morality or being sensitive. Many teenagers and children actually do die from their own hands due to bullying, so the messaging around that in fiction could be crucial. I do not expect you to understand this, given your level of black-and-white, juvenile thinking. That has nothing to do with gender and just the kind of person you are, period.

This is my last response to you. You can spout all the vitriol you want, but that is all just going to reflect how infantile you are. Try do buy some basic human decency from wherever you are located. You badly need it.

That is the trend now in new dramas. Make the FL a girl boss and the male a total simp/fool. New drama watchers…
Girl bosses are different from strong female leads. Many FLs from old dramas are actually pretty strong but also vulnerable and relatable. They're strong women, period, not girl bosses necessarily. Girl bosses are perfect, invulnerable, and superior, especially to men. This is totally anathema to the romcom and romance genres because it makes the FL/ML dynamic unbalanced. Also, being a woman, I want to be able to fall in love with the ML and relate to the FL. These new dramas make the FL so perfect and strong that they are impossible to relate to. (Notice in this drama the FL is literally physically stronger than men. She lifts one of the bad guys and pushes him away like he's styrofoam even though she looks somewhat frail). These new dramas also make the ML foolish and weak. I have yet to see a real strong man in any of the new dramas. Here he starts out like a typical arrogant CEO but they quickly "subvert" it and transform him into a simpering fool in no time flat. Anyway, I too like strong characters -- strong MLs and strong FLs. I don't like superior girl bosses. They're a different animal altogether. And I don't think they're going to stop this trend because the new generation apparently loves it.
On Tastefully Yours Jun 2, 2025
The main problem with this drama is none of the characters are likable. The FL is a girl boss who is perfect in everything and stronger than the ML, and is NOT relatable. The ML starts out as an arrogant CEO but ends up being a foolsih simp. The other female character is insufferably rude and irritating, but I guess represents another type of girl boss. Dropping this.

Dropped after E3.. the 2 female main characters are freaking annoying! Male lead was funny.. but it wasn't enough…
This. I think it's part of the girl-boss narrative. They wanted the ML to look like a fool in the hands of these two women but both women are just horribly rude, especially the ahjumma!

Review Lovely Runner
I just LOVE your review. I haven't seen the drama and now I am glad that I did not succumb to the hype: I would…
Thanks. Sadly, that is the state of kdramaland these days. Gone are the days when you would fall in love, break your heart, feel anger, sadness, despair and then real joy in the space of 12 to 16 episodes.

idk y but for me i really don't get this drama much like i don't really get the connection to watch this drama.…
Same. I couldn't get into it. Generally I don't like melodramas, so that's probably why. Plus I couldn't make a connection with either of the leads. I couldn't see or feel the "explosive" chemistry" that everyone is talking about. Thirdly, it feels like there's a conscious "let's upturn the patriarchy" kind of feminist agenda. I don't like any kind of agenda/political messages in my dramas. Basically though, I'm just not connecting to it. I feel like the male lead is too weak, and that he was deliberately made that way, weak and comical, a kind of emasculation. I am all for strong female leads but you don't need to make the male weak to emphasize female strength. Love KSH though. I really wanted to like this. I'm just in the middle of Episode 2 but I am not getting what's so good about this, so I am dropping it.

Title My Demon
All of the unaired episodes have already received ratings of 9.5–10 from 14 clowns. This is definitely embarrassing…
People who watch this show want a little comedy and a little romance. If you want plot-heavy stories, this isn't it. This one is more character-driven, and the main focus is the romance and the comedy because, news flash, it's a romcom. It's not a thriller. It's not a mind-bender. Most kdrama writers these days inject thriller elements into romcoms just for folks like you complain about the lack of plot. In the old days, that wasn't necessary. Romcoms would mostly be just about the push-pull between the main couple, and the sexual tension doesn't get any kind of release until the very last episode (examples: Full House, Goong). Just because romcoms are not plot-heavy doesn't mean folks who watch them are doofuses. I am a literature major and so at the very least I know what literature is and this is not it, but I still enjoy kdramas AND romcoms. Hoorah for me. Sad for you that your tastes are so narrow. Just throwing back the vitriol. There is a certain charm to the silliness of kdrama romcoms that is super refreshing. You watch it to have fun. If you want something cerebral, don't watch a romcom.

Been a long time K drama fan but here's my opinion. If you are looking to watch extremely good looking/idol-like…
This is a kdrama romcom. Many of us who fell in love with this genre back in the old days loved such dramas, especially romcoms, as a break from the usual American/Hollywood stories. A lot of the old stuff were silly. The plot was usually full of holes, but we were not there exactly for the plot. If that's what you're after, look for kdrama thrillers and Western shows. People often look down on people who like romcom kdramas. That doesn't mean we're shallow or stupid. Sometimes you just need a break and want to laugh and feel thrilled. To fall in love and fall out of love, be heartbroken, and fall in love again in the space of 16 hours is an experience. Most new kdrama watchers prefer just all sunshine and roses and hate any sort of conflict. I personally love conflict. I like evil stepmoms and conniving third parties. I like the cohabitation trope and the enemies-to-lovers trope. You could dress up my old favorites in new skins and I would still love it, when I'm in the mood for romcoms. Personally, what makes any drama good for me is if the characters are effective, meaning they make me feel something. That's good enough. The plot is usually just an extra. If the characters are real enough for you the plot doesn't matter as much. Character-driven stories are the best IMO. A brilliant plot with cardboard characters will not make you love a story. Now while the characters here are not exactly new or groundbreaking types of characters, the actors did a great job IMO that it is easy to fall in love with them. Tropes and formula romances exist for a reason -- they work. They work in making us feel the push-pull and the final culmination of the romance. If you can't relate to that particular thrill, you will never appreciate romcom. This genre is not for you. Move on. Ranting about a romcom being silly and finding the plot lacking is a bit silly in itself. Personally, I don't like the recent trend of inserting thriller elements in romcoms. I like romcoms for the romance and the comedy. If I want a thriller, I'll go look for a thriller. Anyway, all I'm saying is, you obviously don't like romcom. Go and look for a mindbending thriller. I do that too when I'm in the mood for them. Try Dark on Netflix. It's great. This one isn't for you.

sigh this drama is my happy place so can y'all do me a favour and block me if you're just here to mock it? I'm…
Everyone has different opinions. You can love the drama to death, but give other people the freedom to be critical of it if they didn't like it. Assuming they're camping here to throw hate at the drama is just your interpretation. Everyone is free to comment about their opinions. You are asking everyone who is critical of the drama to block you. Why would they bother to do that just to protect your sensitive self? If you don't like your favorite drama being criticized, then don't read the comments. I haven't even said a thing about this drama but I've had too many crazed kdrama fans attacking me for even saying anything slightly critical about their favorite dramas. They take it personally, like it's an affront to their character, when they encounter someone who does not like what they like. Your opinion is not the only valid one. Personally, I dislike the fact that the ML in this drama is, again, again, again, suffering from some obscure childhood trauma. I've had enough of this trope. But I am glad to have found a tsundere chaebol again so will probably continue watching.

I mean them in Gwido would be a sorta satisfying ending ngl because they'd be there grow old and wither slowly…
LOL but I don't think they could keep their bodies though, so that's the sad part. no growing old and having kids and being surrounded by family and friends
The only "happy ending" scenario I could think of is for naksu's soul and jang-uk's soul to choose to go to Gwido together, which has a sort of foreshadowing when they asked each other if they could just stay there together. But that won't really be a happy ending. Would it? All other scenarios I could think of where things could work out well (example, they actually just fell into an illusory alternate dimension after coming out of that barrier with the ice stone in season 1) are just too corny and far-fetched. Another farfetched but a little more plausible one is where they JU and Naksu conceive a child and JSR agrees to transfer to the child, but I couldn't think of why she would agree to this. Argh. Not feeling hopeful for tonight but somehow feel the Song sisters have something more satisfactory up their sleeves.

Ok people, give me your thoughts abou SEO YUL After it was confirmed for himself that he wanted to kill Naksu,…
Especially after Jang Uk being willing to sacrifice Bu-yeon and his gold just to save his life. He should at the very least tell him the truth. But maybe that's coming in the next episode? Or maybe he thinks it will just spoil the short time he thinks they have, so he's letting them have their last bit of fun. But if I were Jang Uk, I'd prefer to know the truth and deal with it properly than find out later when she's gone.

I wanted her to be heartbroken, because she killed the person she loved the most, but i think that she already…
Yes. But I guess even when Mu-deok came off the spell of the bells, she did not break down weeping either. Maybe out of shock, or maybe because that's the assassin steeliness taking over. She's no ordinary girl after all.

Regarding the moment when Naksu regained her memories, did it live up to everyone's expectations? Or were you…
I actually was super frustrated. I expected more shock and weeping at realizing what she did to Jang Uk, not this stony-faced avoidance. Not sure if it was the fault of the actress, the director, the script, or all of them combined. EDIT: On second thought, she has also regained her coolness and composure as Naksu, and thus we cannot expect her to weep and wail like an ordinary girl, I guess.

Okay. So the BFF thought she liked Baek-hyun, but in fact it was Won-ho wearing Baek-hyun's uniform (which AFAIK no school would allow). There was no scene showing how she found out she was mistaken, and the real name of the guy she likes is Won-ho. And yet, in subsequent scenes, she refers to him as Won-ho. Did I miss something???

It's so frustrating. The writing is subpar to be honest. Is it justifiable to quit at the middle of episode 10?
I agree. The writing is horrible, and I think Park Min Young is again too old for her role. I started our finding the ML cute and almost falling for him, but him simping so hard for the FL has turned me off. I'm no longer excited about them ending up together. It's actually almost cringey now. Good indication the show has failed for me. Am also dropping it.

Going to school all alone is different from living alone independent of any adult guidance. Those kids in Japan go home to a warm house with parents who take care of their needs. That is different from having to handle managing a household, managing Hyorin's panic attacks, and all the other things you need to cope with as an adult, all on your own without anyone's help. Hyorin was treated like a baby by her parents. And even in-hye was taken care of by her sisters. She has no experience navigating through the world on her own. And both of them seem unstable, hyorin with her panic attacks and anxiety.and In-hye with her psychopathic lack of empathy. So yeah. We're.not talking about independent American kids but these two in particular

Some kids grow up mature enough to be independent. In-hye and Hyo-rin do not seem that way to me, especially Hyorin, who acts like a baby still and is just following In-hye's lead, In-hye who seems mentally disturbed and lacks empathy for even her loving sisters. I'm sure there are kids out there who are mature enough as teenagers but these two don't give off that impression. Both of them literally look and act like children
