I agree. I am rewatching Kill Me, Heal Me and enjoying it just as much as I did the first time. It is a great…
Kill Me, Heal Me!!! I love that kdrama, even though it might be lighthearted in some bits, overall it is just a comforting drama to just watch when you feel the care that the leads have for each other.
My best friend rewatches dramas she loves every year. She has winter, spring, summer and fall dramas and just…
I can relate! There's nothing like that one drama that you just keep going back to, makes me wish I could watch it for the first time again! It's just so damn comfortable to just lean against my pillow and let the warmth of my laptop become the heater as I just watch the same drama for like the umpteenth time LOL! If you're looking for that 2007-2009 feel, you can check out korean films from before that period, from all the rave reviews I've seen on old films, I am sure there might be some vibes you guys can reconcile with... Ah, to go back in time again! I really miss watching various types of kdramas play on KBS in 2017, that's when I first started getting into kdramas :*)
Although I am a bit new to the other genres of dramas, like doramas and c-dramas (actually most of the doramas, japanese dramas, have that same feel as old k-dramas, you guys can check those out!) but I am enjoying that homely feel that just comes with an introduction to a genre, makes me feel like I am starting all over again, haha
I think the best piece of advice is possibly rewatching the kdramas that you once loved! Truthfully, I am also in the same predicament as you, haven't watched any dramas in weeks or months even, but out of the blue, I felt like watching some of my favourite drama scenes and started off in a great path to actually falling in love with the drama world. I know as the korean film industry grows and tries harder to fit into the 'what-works' strategy, but these mature type dramas can only last so long. With a slight insurgence in the type of kdramas I used to watch a lot back in 2017, like 'Salon de Nabi 2022', I think there is some hope for the nostalgic feel to return back! Don't get demotivated and keep patience, falling in and out of love with a passion can be hard but it is also very elevating to finally find the love for it again. Best of luck!
Honestly speaking, I see a lot of people asking whether the drama would be good or not because many people aren't quite pleased with the ending, but for me, personally, I don't think the ending made any difference to what happened the whole plot around. This drama was probably one of the best 2020-21 dramas I've ever watched (the funny moments are just delightful! The kiss scenes were awesome- just awesome)
but if you want to hear it from someone who watched Mr. Queen from when it was still on-air, I'd say go for it, you won't regret a thing.
As a bonus, I don't think I'd ever regret watching Mr. Queen from when it was still on-air, I got to find so many nice people in this community who loved watching Mr. Queen as much as I did, the memories of the good moments from this drama was too much for me to be phased by the ending of this drama, (honestly, I'm acting like this drama is like 10 years old- LOL)
