I think people are mad not because of the number of characters they added here, but rather due to the fact that…
I’m not disappointed because all main characters are equally important. Yes, I was wondering too like where did Hyun Soo go after ep 4 but I was like ok the focus now is on Lee Eun Yu’s story so I don’t mind that. Then he came back with his back story with Yi Kyung and Yi Kyung’s daughter so I’m not complaining? There also must be a reason for the backstory of Tak In Hwan & Dr Lim, that’s why they’re also the main characters in this season.
If talking about screen time, I’m slightly disappointed on lack of Lee Jin Wook, but I guess it’s necessary for us viewers too to be like the other survivors who don’t know what’s going on to the lab after the soldiers bombed it. It’s mysterious to them and to us too on the world of monsters after 1 year has passed, how they’ve evolved as the survivors stayed on the basement.
I think makers have made fl character bit more brazen, they should tone it down a bit..Otherwise, looks like very…
So far, I don’t see her as brazen, like she’s confident but she’s not rude or being disrespectful to anyone. I hope she won’t be too arrogant once she’s back in her hometown.
Not Shin Hye Sun made me tear up when Sam Dal/ Eun Hye cried on her downfall. I can feel her pain as she’s been working so hard all these years and she’s not even a bad person to begin with. 😭I hate that assistant so bad.
I was so glad when Eun Yu hugged Hyun Soo when they reunited because I was scared of him losing his humanity after all the pep talk from Ui Myeong how nasty human is and after being the test subject on the lab. They didn’t even treat him as human and left him naked 😭
I think it’s kinda expected since S1? I had that feeling last time and this season kinda confirms it.
If Ui Myeong was Ui Myeong all the time, why is he so concerned about MH1 which is Sang Won’s body? This theory of Ui Myeong being Sang Won was discussed in S1 and in this season, although the show didn’t explicitly say it, but I guess we can have that possibility that he’s Sang Won, but he has changed after what the professor did to him.
Who knows she might be coming in S3 as neohuman. She seems like she’s infected when she got her ears hurt.
I know that how she got hurt, but there’s a possibility of her turning because we couldn’t even see her hand whether the wound was healed or not when they did the checking.
I think it’s kinda expected since S1? I had that feeling last time and this season kinda confirms it.
I had that thought when Ui Myeong is like parasite that go to someone’s body, so I was like what if he’s actually Sang Won? I guess it’s safe to say that it’s right. He also didn’t kill Yi Kyung when he saw her
how long was the time skip , about a year and in that time what happend really fked up the plot so much. How did…
Few months, it did show by the time skip, it’s 337 days since the monster outbreak. Then by the ending, it’s been a year.
Yi Kyung’s daughter grew up so fast is because she’s half monster. In S1, she knew she’s pregnant but her belly wasn’t even showed but it grew so fast even in her belly. She did not shoot her own daughter, it was in her hallucinations as a monster. That’s why Hyun So said most people who turned into monsters, they’re in their own world and happy, but not Yi Kyung, she was sad even as a monster.
HOLD UP! So Lee Eun Hyuk is reborn just like ahjuma Im? And it is the same thing we saw at the lab and at the park when the professor took some part of it. I’m really interested to know how the monsters evolved.
I think Yi Kyung’s story is so sad and I cried when Hyun Soo said she’s not even happy in her own world and dreams as a monster 😭 She’s been through so much. First, she lost her fiance and he was a subject to the test then she carried a half human half monster baby due to her fiancée was infected. She was the best character in S1 so I feel sad that she had gone through the worst in S2. I think she’s not yet dead because the monster has to be burned to die and Hyun So was just throwing her away under the hole and there might be a chance she’d resist and fight her own monsters.
With this in mind, I just hope Yoon Ji Su is not yet died. To me, no dead body means there’s still chance for the character to be alive, even as a monster (or neohuman)
Among all the soldiers who left for the expedition at the end, I really root for Kang Seung Wan. He’s the best one out there so I really hope he’ll survive. He’s listed as support role, not guest role so there might be a chance for him to return in S3.
Idk about you guys, but I really find the girl who one of the soldiers trying to find medicine for her, very annoying. When she’s demanding to bring him back like girl, shut up.
Anyway, did we experience a subtle triangle love? Our guy Park Chan Young gave up too soon. I guess he might feel that he’s not needed anymore to keep Eun Yu safe as Hyun So is there and he’s 10 times more powerful than him. He knows he can’t beat the relationship that those two have. I feel a bit bad for him, but I guess he has the same fate like other SML in other kdramas.
Anyway, I do enjoy this S2 despite it’s a bit slow and the monsters are not as interesting as S1, but I still love this series nevertheless.
People complaining so many new characters…like of course?? they’re finally outside from their building? there were many characters in S1 too, but since it all happened in the same place, that’s why you didn’t feel it. Now they’re all scattered, so the story needs to shift from one place to another.
I find this season interesting too as there are other survivors and questions left to be answered in S3. This S2 is needed to connect the story to the finale, so I don’t mind.
