I actually scored this higher in terms of acting and plot than LYF, but I am biased because adventure comedies…
LYF is a snooze fest if not for Xiang Liu, seriously. I also don’t get the unnecessary hate towards the girls and I’m very easily annoyed by the female characters. But they’re not cringy or cutesy or anything like that so I don’t understand the problem. Also, I’m so glad nobody speaks like a chipmunk here.

first time I come to see a top actor to play a role where he will be beaten by all supporting characters left…
Top actors should be able to play every role because they are… well actors. Tan is an actor so that’s why he can play anything. Not sure about the others if ego is more important than their craft 😅
How about ask “how’s the plot so far?”, “how’s the acting?”, but I guess these are irrelevant elements nowadays.
So no idea what people expect other than some silly idol stuff.
Go East is a breath of fresh air but unfortunately not for everyone.
Maybe it’s one of the unspoken requirements in every cdrama.
