You know, it may be hard for you to believe this, but after watching the first season again, you're completely right about Jing being perfect for XY. They're so perfect together I'm praying they have another drama in the future so that we can see that perfection being carried on to a second drama.
Meanwhile, Xiang Liu remains being the best possible character ever, and his ending is perfect too. Imagine him ending with XY? No thanks, not even Chubby would allow that monstrosity to come to pass.
Somehow Tong Hua was right all along. Xiang Liu was clearly her favorite character and they all did get what they deserved, that's for sure :)
I only watched the first 8 episodes and then jumped straight to the last episode. Tan's acting saved this whole thing, but it's too much so I completely understand you.
What a shit show of a story. I wish this was focused only on him tbh. Xiang Liu is the only saving grace of the novel and the drama :( I can't let him go either 😅
