Is the nine tailed fox related to the Tushan clan in chinese mythology?I didn't watch any of fox series dramas…
I'm biting my tongue to prevent myself from saying something mean lol. Such a struggle. 😹
But I can see some similarities. Okay, I'll stop. HAHA
Edit: Fine. I've been coerced to say it 🤣 I only wanted to point out that an entire drama having a protagonist called Tushan Hong Hong, who happens to be a fox spirit from the Tushan Fox Clan, was always doomed to be a flop. A coincidence? I don't think so ahahahahahahaha
I'm not on any shipper camp but after the red clothes scene, I am certain the production deliberately doing this…
He doesn't, but if they understood Asian culture, families who have been saved by a person usually have a memorial or a little space at home where they pay their respects to the one who died so they could live. XL should have a whole temple.
Actually this site did a mistranslation of what was posted by Datawin❌ being the most beloved character this…
Well, thank you for your concern. Duly noted.
Oh, the original post by this @loverofpurples person you so gracefully shared with us said something about "People mock with Yangzi due to your wrong translation! Pls correct it @cnotiz".
Not sure how the translation was considered a form of mockery to her, but eh. Since you said it doesn't affect your fandom, then great, I will take your word for it. I also agree it does not impact her at all. Good day!
Unfortunately, most of my encounters with "YaoJing" fans have indeed been encounters with Jingers. I'm sorry if it bothers you (it bothers me as well) but I'm yet to find one who in one way or the other does not fit this description. Always distorting facts, always trying to minimize Xiang Liu's importance in the story. I'm not sure if you're biased towards him or not because it is difficult to keep track of everyone's preferences. So if you are, my apologies.
But I'm going to be honest with you. I have ZERO liking for Jing as a character. I must put this out of the way first so you can understand where I stand. I dislike him with every fiber of my being. He is a fictional character, after all, and I think I have the right to feel what I feel towards him.
Now that that is out of the way, don't worry, I won't take this wrong way because, at the end of the day, this is all a silly discussion and none of this bears any relevance to our daily lives. We are adults, after all.
In that sense, and out of respect to you, I'll refrain from using this term again (which I coined myself) in a more general manner, but I will keep using it directly at people who so much as try to distort facts to suit their needs.
His fans can swoon over Jing as much as they like, we can't change people's tastes, but if I see Xiang Liu being misrepresented anywhere in a dishonest way, all hell will break lose, be it in a serious manner or my usual jestful manner. Hopefully jestful.
Thanks for your message and you have a good day as well.

They were happy with how Jing was using money to fix his problems? While calling XL the transactional one? Sounds about right.
They refuse to even thank Xiang Liu for helping their beloved YaoJing remain alive at the end. Xiang Liu's only fault was to have spent his precious lives looking out for people who should have dealt with their own problems by themselves. Saving those fools left and right just to be called abusive.

I’m not even truly a YaoLiu fan but the way those Jingers deliberately try to misconstrue the whole thing is getting on my nerves.
I guess a whole swath of people are wrong, including TH, and Jingers with their “Friendship Bugs’” and “true love” notions are the ones who have deep knowledge of all this. What a clown world indeed.
I see some individuals (well, only one) feeling mortified that people have multiple interpretations of the novel (considering Tong Hua made use of writing techniques showing that this is a novel where many things are implicit) and started accusing them of disrespecting Xiao Yao’s character or projecting their feelings onto her.
I’m not sure if it’s just a misunderstanding of the intents of the novel or simply a good ol’ trolling but the fact that one person can love two people romantically seems to be something that have some (again, one) folks clutching at their pearls.
Calm down, it’s not that serious. It’s not going to ruin your “happy ending” the simple acknowledgment that XY loved Xiang Liu as well. Even the production team has acknowledged that in many ways (cinematography, costume design, soundtrack, camera work) and put in the drama despite all the cuts and edits. So why the indignation? Be for real.

There, I said it. 😭😅
Bring on the fox rage, I can take it. 😹

Also, does this impact your purple fandom in any way? Why should it matter to you?
Edit: I have some more statistics for you, should you wish to see them.
