The parallels are so interesting. This story started with the trauma of children being abandoned and it will end…
All those characters are pretty much the same. Jing gets a pass because...I don't really know why he gets a pass, considering he would leave his own children with XY (should they ever have them) in a heartbeat if something happens to her.

She better never dies before him or there will be some little orphan foxes in need of foster care.

I don't think the King was drugged and tricked into thinking XY was his while he was in love with someone else.…
Isn't Tushan Jing known for his immense kindness towards everyone, even the evil brother who tortured him for years?

I guess a little kid who didn't ask to be born isn't deserving of good boy Jing's good graces. Well, he did mention his heart is small and is only reserved for Xiao Yao, so there's that.

The episodes are getting boring now that Xiang Liu's major arc is gone. Cang Xuan is the only one who makes me…
It's going to be predictably boring because well, things have shifted slightly and the current plot is like watching paint dry. At least I'm hoping the focus will be Cang Xuan, even if his parts are going to be heavily diluted.

No matter who plays Jing, I would not care for this character. I zoomed through his part. Personally DW charisma…
I have Chinese friends, Weibo and XHS accounts and I have been following the news over there since last October. When you say China, you must know it is definitely not the overwhelming majority. Some do and some definitely do not.

He is not! Im not recommending 🥱🤣
Oh yikes. Well, to be able to criticize things fairly, I need to watch everything without skipping anything, but eh, my poor stomach. At least there is Cang Xuan, right? RIGHT? 😹🥹

Because the female lead has 4 pursuers, so it's normal for having so many heated discussions here and there. Like…
Only three to be honest. Sorry Feng Long, my lad 😹

She will never see her best friend again.
I know that. I was being sarcastic since Jingers say she only loves Jing, which is clearly not true.

Well, that’s upsetting. The character is already so unlikeable to so many people.

Yeah, I think the character definitely doesn’t allow for much variety of expressions, and considering his “essence” is to remain the good nice boy no matter what life throws at him, I don’t see how anyone could make him interesting. Though it would be interesting to see different portrayals.

Some fans were a bit upset when it was pointed out that he is what cinema and screenwriting considers a plot device, but that’s essentially what he is. His function in the greater scheme of things is to provide the heroine with the goal she has fought for her entire life, i.e. to not be abandoned ever again.

Anything that exceeds that would require further character development, which Tong Hua did not provide for him.

It's funny now Yaojing back and some people who don't like jing, blaming DW cus they didn't like Jing's character.…
You have mentioned something very interesting. I will forever be curious to see another actor playing this character, which I find utterly detestable in all its good boy glory.

Maybe if they one day remake this, even in another country, just as Scarlet Heart was remade in South Korea, it will be a chance for me to see if the problem is with the acting or the character itself. I’m afraid in this particularly case, it’s a combination of both, but yeah it’s unfair to compare him to Cang Xuan and ZWY.

Xiao Yao, Xiao Yao. Why are you crying so much over the loss of your dear “friend” Fang Feng Bei? Why are you grasping that bow so tightly, eh?

You only have the fox in your heart, isn’t that what they say? So why does it matter that the bad mean demon has said so many harsh words? Who are all those tears for, uh? The good ol’ crying at a closed door never fails 😌

Interesting, very interesting 🧐😌

I know TSJ is the best partner for XY as he's willing to do anything for her. But, his character and the actor's…
He’s arguably the least impactful character because his sole purpose is to live and die for her and fit the “companionship” requirement she has. But yes it’s so hard to warm up to him. Which is odd considering he’s supposed to be “the good guy”, husband material endgame 🥴

When compared to Cang Xuan and Xiang Liu, it’s almost painful to watch this.
