I don’t know what the production team/directors/scriptwriters were thinking but if the goal is to reduce her feelings for Xiang Liu, then they have completely missed the mark.
Finished episode 1 and the third part is all about Xiao Yao and the Bei/XL unspoken feelings - and the fox stalking them as usual, now with CCTV technology. Welp, they be leaning on the doomed ship so hard it will be a challenge to pull off that ending. But eh, the happy ending is all that matters amirite?
