I just started watching the first one and from what I see; XY is a red flag. She’s all about holding grudges…
Yeah, you joined this party late but already understood how everything works. Xiao Yao is such a messed up character I can't even. Hence why everything she says, do, lies, is always to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt. Interesting that you use the term red flag. It's usually thrown on one of the guys when in fact this is a feast of terrible people, our heroine included.
There are rumours that the production team are making changes to the story of S2 to make Jing look good and it…
We have read the leaked script, and while it doesn't seem like we will get all the Xiang Liu moments we deserve, it is quite interesting to see if the production team really made the hilariously awful mistake of making a character "look good" at the expense of the most beloved character. Not to mention that the implication of it. Why try to make a character look good? Wasn't he supposed to be great in the first place?
While some bitter people again come here insult people who like XL, I rewatching my favorite moments with him…
They'll have a hard time trying to negate the fact that the only reason most of us are even remotely interested in this is the one character that overshadows all the others. It's been like this with the novel 11 years ago and it shall be like this once again in this year of our Lord Xiang Liu, 2024.
I need her to end up with Xiang Liu somehow I don’t care 😭
Ideally, if she was a completely different person with a completely different worldview about what it means to be a survivor and a strong, independent woman, I would absolutely need her to end up with Xiang Liu. Especially because he's the one who heals, empowers, and quite literally brings people back to life.
But being as she is, her fate couldn't be the most appropriate. Xiang Liu deserves only the best, even if for him it means the path he chose. 🥺
P.S. I can't believe I've actually typed these words. Talk about character development 🤣😹
She planted that bug on CX too and it worked,if only He accepted that willingly, XL wouldn't be able to remove…
Nobody said that fox isn't her lover. The point is that even though he is her lover, that fact never once threatened the bugs to the point of them turning into heartbreak bugs. I wish it had, though. That way Xiang Liu wouldn't have to waste more lives to kill the bugs. As always, his precious lives being wasted one after another.
In other words, Jing being her lover meant nothing for the bugs who feed on love, and no, not love between friends or whatever interpretation some folks like to come up with.
I'm team Xiang Liu too... But I think we are wrongly accusing Jing here... He never betrays Xiao Yao... He is…
Yep, I agree. If I were to add a reason it wouldn't be that specific mishap. There are many others that could indeed be attributed to him without the need to include his family.

They are a magical variety of bugs made specifically for couples to intertwine their lives and prevent them from cheating on one another. Xiao Yao wasn't aware of how they worked but that's the essence of the bugs.
It’s so wild that after 11 years, some people still don’t comprehend the meaning of the Lovers Bugs, its implications for the story, and most important, why they never go from the “love” category to the “heartbreak” category. Truly wild.
Edit: I specifically wrote this comment to be sort of bait-like and so far it hasn't disappointed. Keep it up. Can't wait for the "unrequited love", "it's only a Friendship Bug" (like those cool rings we had back in high school, you know?), "it's only a plot device", "it's just a name", "it doesn't mean anything".
But we can watch them try 😌

Edit: Can I be her neck? Not the whole thing, just the neck, please. 👁👄👁
