That nail-painting scene was particularly ludicrous. Empty, vain and shallow. Sort of a summary of how things would turn out from now on. It's like she no longer has a purpose in life other than helping CX and getting her "blushes" with that other dude. Qingshui Town was a place of deeper meaning. The palace is just a place for intrigues and an undercooked relationship. The only silver lining is when Fang Feng Bei shows up to give her something to do, and something really useful, as usual.

Oh, thanks for getting back to me! Ah I see, it's fitting considering the other dramas that you like. I liked Crash Landing On You a lot! It's odd, I prefer modern kdramas, but for Chinese dramas, I prefer the historical, xianxia/wuxia ones. I can't seem to get into the modern ones. So that must have impacted my perception of Hidden Love. I heard good things about Twinkling Watermelon. Something about time-travel, is that correct?

Acting-wise, plot-wise, character development, directing, cinematography? Sincerely curious. This is a genre that I do not appreciate so I'm interested in the opinion of someone who does.
