Hi :) Just finished the drama and was about to give the lowest rate then I saw its season 2 is coming :) no wonder…
You already got a lot of incredibly insightful replies to your first question, so I have nothing to add except that Xiang Liu is extremely ML-coded, from the choice of actor to the development of his character's arc. As for the second question, I've been advocating for Xiang Liu for exactly 5 months and 17 days and I'll continue to do so until the day that I die. That's all :)
Tan Jian Ci super cute talking about people being sad for Xiang Liu: https://youtu.be/EMv83bdljIQ?si=mz6e-mI_c7QSGlFN"...why…
He's done such a great job. Never imagined a fictional character being able to move so many people from so many different parts of the world. Sobs. Crying is an understatement :(
Doth mine eyes deceive me or has the Bard now been dragged into the mud of thy scarce wisdom? By my fay! Methinks some day-brained folks have been blabbering far too much. Fie on thee!
'Tis not enough to help thy feeble arguments, because words without thoughts never to Heaven go. There's much ado about nothing and nothing can come of nothing.
But on this MDL stage where every drama lover is merely a player, I shall take me leave with only one quote:
'No longer mourn for me when I am dead'. 'Tis not mine eyes that cry, but thy eyes! (I'm not crying, you're crying).
But the writer said that XY got what she wanted the most
Lost You Forever is more of a cautionary tale. Even the ambiguity in the whole narrative points to that. Is what we see with our naked eyes really the truth?
So what’s the consensus here? Is there even a consensus?

“The course of wimpy love never did run smooth.”

Give me now leave to leave thee.
