I love a lot of things in this drama but I stopped watching this for now because i wasnt able to develop an emotional…
T. H. I. S. You nailed what I'm feeling right now. Thank you. You uprooted my confusion. I might get to stop talking now before this comment section get wild. Hahha.
well everyone has their opinions i respect yours and i would like to share my opinions too.1) i haven't seen that…
let's just hope for that MAJOR character development, because if not she'll be like another yi seo of itaewon class which i think was a major flop. and for the childhood, i mean yes the plot concerns greatly their childhood traumas. it just that the thing where they like each other & about to delve into that feeling despite the age is what i find so unsettling with these childhood connection fest we see on dramas. thats kind of taboo if we honestly look on it closer.
Hmm, we just have to agree on the fact that the childhood connection is more of trope in Korean dramas at this…
there's no such thing as normal romance xD, it just that up to until now MY can throw KT anytime since what attracts her to him is still lust. we still don't go on that deep level of romance which im expecting from the premise.
1. it’s really useless to compare because GT is not him and he is not GT2. It’s okay. It match the scene.…
1. im not comparing the character itself, but the writing of "that" type of character. try to watch dear my friends and you'll know what im talking
2. Yes, the music goes smoothly. It's just that when a certain ost is played just like the ost part 4 (it reminds me a lot of crash landing on you ost part 3), and my feels got mixed up.
3. Dark and bright, you said. The transition, it was messed up. They are like disjointed.
4. Childhood trauma? It wasn't written on the synopsis. I usually kind of harboring dislike when writers pull of. Can't they think of another? It's been like used on dramas since decades ago.
5. She know how to heal herself but she need GT? What? Lol.
Hmm, we just have to agree on the fact that the childhood connection is more of trope in Korean dramas at this…
i'm getting a hard time investing on romance, because i think our leads are still on the healing process but they decided to jump off on romance that fast. i think the writer messed up on that healing part which she promises to serve on that synopsis. i still prefer the romance on director's past work : encounter. it was more natural than this one.
sometimes i like this drama, sometimes im not. i have confused emotions on this one. might be because i've been sort of comparing it to my fav dramas. ill list my so-so things here:
1) kang tae's character - i can't help but compare him on a certain character on "dear my friends" (just watched it GUYS it was a CRYING FEST). i just felt like "that" character on my said drama is written better than of kang tae. i just cant help but compare.
2) the ost that sounds like a mash-up of hotel del luna & crash landing on you - it just kind of messing up the tone of drama for me.
3) the writing was so inconsistent - sometimes it was superficial, sometimes it was not. until now i still dont know what lens should i use when watching: is it the anime lens i used when watching hotel del luna, or the serious lens i used when i watch slice of life dramas
4) the childhood subplot was just so underwhelming - we've seen too many of this, dunno why writers keep reusing this plot device
5) ko moon young's lack of character development - i thought this is a healing drama but where's the healing, the writer decided to feed us romance before the actual healing. yaz i actually didn't like it that they got together in ep 9.theres just too many things need to be resolved first. i wouldnt be surprised if they broke up realquick on ep 10 (i still havent watched it btw)
i'm kind of having a love-hate feels for this drama. okay so let me point out things i loved with this drama. i really really love jeong hyeok's army squad. their scenes are what i find the most entertaining and touching as well. i also loved the osts. soothing. and very solemn. while things i really really hate is the romance and makjang subplot. dang corny. i mean i love the romance between our two main leads but then the writer decided to add the ever so cliché love triangle and well fuck love triangles and arranged marriage subplots. also i'll point out evrything about north korea looks superficial.
First thing I will say: 1 episode and I totally love our characters now. I love how flawed they are. I'm all eyes now to see how will their relationships and personalities blossom.
I'm just getting a little disappointed with the cinematography. It's bearable but its kind of losing quality at some shots.
i loved the first season and has recently became a fan of so jooyeon but i'm not excited about the two leads.…
The leads are doing good in their roles. I mean they are really flawed when you see it. But yah, this drama is all about that character overturn and growth. And mind it, their chemistry is awesome. ++++Ahn Hyo Seop is hot af while Lee Sung Kyung slayed the comedic parts.
Okay, I was hesitant at first to give this drama a chance since I've known the writer for writing utterly superficial romance. She always pull the "past strings" romance in her dramas, and well for her male lead she always follow the formula: smart, stoic, yet handsome and cute at the same time (lol).
But then yes, I've watched the first two episodes and god son ye jin's acting is cringy af. I dropped it... almost. But watched it again. And there it is, the butterflies, the chemistry, the beatiful feeling.
So here's my piece of advice to all who plan to watch this: if you're going all perfectionist while watching this, surely you'll dropped this. But just feel it. You can really feel the underlying emotions and messages the writer and director wanted us to see. YAY!
Because of this drama, I feel one week goes by TOO SLOW. In the meanwhile... can anyone recommend any other dramas…
Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim Season 2. Thrilling and fun but well you need to oversee its somehow crappy cinematography unlike Crash Landing On You wherein you're all eyes with the magnificent scenery and shots.
