i think it is important to talk about consent. But I think people talk about consent like a binary - either yes or no. It's not that simple. TJTKY presents consent on a spectrum. Kataoka said he would stop when the other person asks - so he does understand consent to a certain extent. As for Odajima, he sees himself as a thing so he didn't care about things done to him. Many of my friends (and I) experienced SA before and our attitudes are "eh, let it go." I understand many others are traumatised and that's super valid.
