Ep 10 thoughts:This whole misunderstanding plot point actually feels necessary and setup for main leads to grow.…
That's an interesting way to put it. But nevertheless, if the purpose was knowing XQA has a strong backing then regardless if it's the real HQ or LA then he would still be acting reckless as you said because he really has HQ backing him and HQ really sees XQA as part of her aides so she wouldn't really let something happen to him incase she needs him for her goals (whatever she has in mind). So the whole fake HQ the 2nd princess was doing was somehow unnecessary and was just added for another comedic part of the drama which unfortunately didn't sit well with others. But now that that part has ended and seeing the trailers, I also believe LA has something to do apart from her constantly proving herself better than HQ. Like you said, I also believe that she is clever and that she could earn herself by just being herself. I hope to see more of her now as Lin An esp now that the series is getting more serious

This is amazing! I'm loving it! The characters, the story, the comedy, the pacing and the curiosity of finding out what's next. However and don't get me wrong bc I like TXW, she's great and I have watched her other dramas but I really just can't stand the scenes with her. Maybe it has to do with her character but it feels unnecessary. I'm more interested on Huai Qing and what her goals are. I started this series late but it seems they are only releasing one episode per day? Anyway, this drama is so good. Dylan's character is great (just hope a little tone down on arrogance might be better) but nonetheless not something important. I hope to see more of the cases and the higher ups agendas

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
I think people just don’t like that it ended on a cliffhanger hence the low rating. I did not mind that at all…
As for me, I didn't love it nor hate it. I did enjoy watching it tho. I'm just not completely satisfied not because of the cliffhanger because I already knew it will end abruptly just by watching ep 6, but because I felt I didn't get anything important from this season. You see, there were so many important things from S1 like the VIPs, front man & Jun Ho, Il Nam as the creator, organ trafficking, etc. But it was never talked upon this season. And this is a whole season. Like we had a good start, a conflict, a climax, a cliffhanger ending but there was no resolution so how come a season ended? To me it should have been called half-season or a part of the finale. Hence, season 2 part 1 should have fit the name instead so that people won't expect any resolutions because they know a part 2 finale is coming. Watching S2 doesn't really mean people have to expect a S3 tbh. The characters are great and a good addition but again, created another new series of questions. Like the boatman, 011, and other players and all of that will be added to S3 for all the revelations. I will be waiting for the S3 tho.
On Squid Game Season 2 Dec 28, 2024
Most of the bad reviews aren't really even mentioning if the acting and the games are bad but rather it stemmed from the expectations that things should have been addressed in this season. If Netflix badly wanted a continuation, they should have just named this Season 2 Part 1 like they always do. People wouldn't even dislike it if there's a cliffhanger but really? except for the new characters (I love Hyun Joo) and new games, we really didn't get an answer for A WHOLE SEASON. They really just made a filler season so of course, people would somehow get a little disappointed thinking that some of the things from S1 could have been addressed now after waiting for years, right? No need to trash them why they didn't feel excited and thrilled like some of you. If you love it, great. If you don't then ok. And now we all came down to be the same as some people felt while expecting S2 being the answer. We are ALL now expecting all things addressed in S3.

What I would say tho is if people are looking for reviews, it is to not expect. It is entertaining if you keep it that way and just want to watch something thrilling especially with the new characters and games

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
I like SQ S1 and I'm actually happy to see such casts from this season. My friends say they liked this S2 but idk. I felt like watching this season made it feel draggy. I haven't seen anyone's comment or review about this season before watching but that's how it felt to me. Maybe I was expecting some things from S1 to be addressed in S2 only to watch a whole season of the lead playing another game with new characters + the twist of having In Ho / front man playing with them.

Ep 1 is okay, got my hopes up because Gong Yoo gave an outstanding act and I knew SGH (Lee Jung Jae's character) will play once more. But around ep 6 and start of ep 7, I knew this season was gonna be a cliff hanger without addressing things.

Like we already knew there was a front man, there is the one who created the game, there are VIPs watching. We knew In Ho is the brother of Jun Ho. What did we find out this season? That there was a traitor in the search team? New characters to add to the story to be revealed in S3? Except for that I just felt like we just watched a whole show of just Gi Hun and new characters playing. Gi Hun trying to stop the game with really nothing except for a few convincing parts he did. He waited 3 years to find the master but he waited without a plan(?). I'm sure it's not his plan to rejoin the game but anyhow he doesn't seem to even have a plan even if he meets the VIPs or the new owner of the game.

We have the organ donor trafficking story still left to be addressed. It felt like they just made S2 a filler season to prolong the series but thank goodness the S3 is coming next year than waiting for another long time. Nonetheless, it was entertaining. To me it is not good and not bad. Yes, it is not bad because it was still an okay watch, just enough for me to get entertained and wait for the upcoming S3. Other than that, I stick to my review that this S2 felt like draggy/filler season. Casts' acting are great! Would love to see them alive in S3 if given the chance. Hyeon Ju better be alive next season lol

Title Blossom Spoiler
Can someone answer: I'm starting this drama, why does SM's father hate him?
Well, you are supposed to find out on the latter episodes but since you already know and to further explain, Song Mo's father loves another woman who used to be an official's daughter. That woman's family became criminal when Duke of Ding (Jiang Meisun) found out their corruption. Therefore, the woman's family was punished. In a turn of events, the emperor arranged the marriage of Song Mo's father to Duke of Ding's sister. Song Mo's father hates the Jiang Clan because of what happened to the woman he loves. He didn't like what happened but he accepted it for money and power. Behind the back of Song Mo's mother, he had an affair with that woman when they met again. The child of them is Song Han. Song Mo was already born that time and his mom was carrying another child (turns out to be a girl). Song Mo's father swapped the child of his beloved to the child born by Song Mo's mother so that Song Han can be accepted as legitimate child and no one will question his identity. That is why Song Mo's father hate Song Mo because everything in the Duke of Ying household (title, money and power) should go to Song Han. He wants Song Han to have it all instead since he is the child of him and the woman he loves.

Song Mo in episode 1 was ruthless with 1 goal in mind, revenge. He accomplished that, with the death of Crown prince…
I don't think SM's character is written to be scheming. In the drama, they already portrayed DZ as the one great at scheming and strategy. SM, on the otherhand is a straightforward person. DZ coming into SM life made him realize that not everything needs to be done as soon as he wants. It is not a sign of weakness or being a puppet towards DZ but rather he acknowledges that DZ was right most of the times and her decisions benefitted not only him but the bigger picture of what his goal really is. He is smart tho because he knows when to listen and admit what is better. However, one of his weakness is his anger. DZ helps him on that, that's how she saved him.

Just finished it! Watched it for 2 days straight πŸ˜‚ I like the story and the characters. I'm loving that both leads have great minds and are of one mind. They worked so good together. It's so good to see MZY and LYR have a drama now as the MLs. What's also good is the ending. They didn't really forced something in the end to support how everything happened but I like that they added the very last part where there's a possibility of another endings in a funny way hahaha it's a great watch!!
On Sword and Fairy 4 Dec 13, 2024
Just finished watching this one after putting it in my watchlist for months lol I ended up watching the other SF that was released in the same time as this before. But I'm glad about this one! The story is interesting although there are parts like I get a little annoyed of how the FL story was written (times where she always needs to be saved or like just standing beside ML w/o nothing) I don't dislike the FL hahaha just not those parts bc I think her story is interesting as well. Nonetheless, the story of them 4 is a very heartwarming friendship. I also like the ending, to me atleast, the writer did not give another "let's do whatever we can to save LS" but rather accepted that as they are mortals and LS clan has a punishment from Divine Realm then it is something they couldn't stop. But the writer gave us a sense of assurance that both leads still ended up together happily after 100 years (bc YTH has been given that) and that ML and ZY has found their own selves in their respective places. I like that they gave such a warm ending to all the leads. People should give this a chance if they're still contemplating to watch it 😊
On Love Game in Eastern Fantasy Dec 5, 2024
I'm currently liking this show! Just started it yesterday in Netflix but I already saw this air in WeTV before. I just postponed watching it but now it's better since all episodes are out and I can continuously watch it. Well, I can't stop because I'm loving the plot hahahaha also didn't noticed why I felt the chemistry is nice between DYX and YSX, I forgot they starred in Moonlight together 😭 Anyway, I just came to confirm that one so now I'm gonna go back to watching lol
On Family by Choice Dec 2, 2024
I once posted here that I will wait for the whole episodes to be out but curiosity got me and I have watched until episode 10 before. I stopped and watched some Cdramas and went on some travel. I just finished a Cdrama this week so I told myself I will finish this drama this weekend. And I did finish it today. I love it! I seldom watch Kdramas for years now (I've been watching Kdramas since 2005 and got into Cdramas in 2017 since I'm more of a fan of historical/historical fantasy genre). Despite that, Go Ahead became one of my fav Cdramas. So when I heard of a Korean remake, I was actually excited for it.

I'm very happy with the remake. Of course not everything from Go Ahead is here since this is a shorter drama and it is a "remake" but I really like it! I kept recommending this drama now to some friends. For a 16-episode drama and a "Remake" if some people forgot, this is actually good. People cannot expect an original story from Go Ahead because this drama just based on it and not "copied" it. Every remake has their own renditions so I don't see why people expect for everything to be the same. As a fan of Go Ahead, I have rewatched that drama for lots of times but I watched Family by Choice as a separate drama just basing on Go Ahead instead of nitpicking every detail that "Oh Hae Jun should have been a baker" etc etc. I will comment tho on how I was worried for the leads' acting because TSY and ZXC from Go Ahead was super good. JCY is still not up to TSY level BUT she definitely improved from when she started acting. I say this as a fan of IOI. I have seen her act awkwardly before and I'm glad she is much better with her facial expressions here. Same with BHS, I don't know much about his other dramas but he did well just not as well as ZXC if you know that guy, you would be blown by his talent. It's because there were some scenes I find BHS awkward. For HIY, well SWL isn't really much of a standout for me so when HIY broke down in front of BHS in one scene, I knew for sure that HIY did really well here. Overall, the acting is good. The story is good that's why I like it

For everyone still hesistating to watch this. I am once again saying it to anybody who thinks or feel that Family by Choice or Go Ahead is a love triangle or a sibling relationship. It is not. They just simply grew together like childhood friends do but close as "siblings". The only thing I did find different is Go Ahead kind of focuses more on the family than the romance which was shown a lot here in Family by Choice. And so, I hoped they have shown more of KHJ and PD hahahaha since they were going to romancy side anyway. It was a great watch! I am glad I watched this remake

"they knew since young they were "siblings" before the reveal." In the first episode, they are complete strangers…
Hmmm. I see. It's good to see someone else's different perspective. I haven't reached yet YN's part so maybe on this part, we'll agree that this sudden change will be somewhat questionable. And oh ok, I guess it's also because I started to watch this drama w/o reading the plot then ofc I have started it knowing they were siblings from the start and so all the sudden change on their feelings will always be weird to me as the story was already built on me that they were siblings. Apart from that, I'm liking the story & the characters so for me this is good 😊

"they knew since young they were "siblings" before the reveal." In the first episode, they are complete strangers…
I understand that but still, he and her found out who they are to each other when they met again. He found out she wasn't her sister at all only after a while then suddenly his sisterly care (his geniune way of helping her as both of them tries to help each other) turned into romantic one (and his maid kept on adding fuel to the fire) while YN will eventually do as well after the truth is laid out (not yet on this part). Which again is still weird to me. Maybe you can accept this easily but my opinion & my mind does not see it the way you do. To me, it was a geniune brother-sister relationship at the start but was suddenly turned romantic as to the reason idk why the writer did that? I know this was a written drama/novel (not sure if this has novel) but we can have dramas who are siblings as leads and they have their each own love interest (2nd leads). The plot can still work that way tho πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ In any case, I'm not saying the drama is bad, it's just that the relationship thing in this drama kind off throws some people off 😊
On The Rise of Ning Nov 16, 2024
Just recently started this drama. Now, I'm halfway through it. I like the story. The plot is interesting and the flow is good. But I still can't shake off the relationship thing. Yes, you can go on argue about them not being biological siblings and I know this is an old setting, therefore, even relatives in the past can get married to each other. But again, I'm watching it on a present day. Just because they're not biological siblings means it's ok in my head because they're both in the same family registry/by law anyway. It kinda felt like step siblings/adopted siblings. I also felt you can't argue the "they didn't grew up together", yeah they didn't but they knew since young they were "siblings" before the reveal. If the case was childhood friends who grew up together, that would be different. In any case, I'm just glad the whole story and plot kind of overshadows these thoughts so when they have tense/romance scenes, I just try to skip those. I'm actually glad both leads are smart and talented. Even the people around them are not too dumb. If not for the "sibling" part, I can really get on the chemistry bc they both look good together. That's it. Another half of the drama remaining to watch. I'm curious how the case gets unfold.

I haven't watched this yet since I want to wait for all episodes to be out. I have watched the cdrama ver a lot and I am trying to read the comments how similar or different it is to this kdrama ver. However, fellow viewers of the cdrama ver, why is it that most of you think there was a "love triangle" in the OG one? Have we watched the same drama bc afaik, that isn't really "love triangle" as we all know why ZQ decided to confess. It wasn't romantic but rather he wants to be part of the family but just misjudged that that is the only way to be part of the family. I'm disappointed if you think his character was just a "love triangle" part when in fact his character is someone if in real life I would like to hug. In cdrama or maybe here, I just felt how sad his story is. I hope may be it cdrama or kdrama ver (again, I don't know the plot of Family by choice) if you try to understand the characters, you'll see it's one of the good dramas out there. To me Go Ahead is just as amazing as Reply if you get me so I am giving expectations on this one 😊
On You Are My Lover Friend Oct 28, 2024
The drama is good but took so long. I watched it because I like the leads. I know they wanted to show the love story was built from friendship to love but it was so long it got a little boring. CH and SN story got me curious tho, they could have shown more to their story. Also, the story behind ZM and XSS which was not really related to the leads got me interested as well. Overall, it was good but people who are interested to watch this should expect a slow pace type of story

Sounds like FL will be the one having regret later in life?I have to watch this to make a decision.
No. Both of them had their time together and lost it. It's like having the right love at a wrong time. In the movie, both of them have grown and understand more of themselves separately, realizing what they missed and how they have already accepted things which mostly happens in life. You should watch it. It's just a matter of perspective, there's no side to be with on because everyone has their own mistakes and regrets πŸ™‚

I think I saw that things will get better/interesting past ep 15 but no, sadly for me, sorry. As much as I love the actors and actresses, the plot and the drama itself is not giving me something. I finished ep 21 by clicking >>10. That's how much I am fast forwarding this drama hoping to see a glimpse of something that would interest me. I think it's about time for me to decide to drop it or just try to finish while forwarding the rest of the episodes
