There are so many serious talks about this drama (saw more in another site) and this might not be your cup of tea. To me, I see this drama light and simple. Just like that. Don't need to overanalyze the drama's purpose. If it is woman empowerment you're looking then this is not the type you know from some dramas. This one, the woman are empowered bc they were able to live with themselves but at the same time they are in a society that needs to have a husband to have a good life. That's why they seek marriage besides the fact that they did survive their lives for years without men.
If it's character development you're looking then most probably you won't like this bc it does not give you a great development but subtle simples ones. FLH (FH husband) is weak and immature and has always been crying to CA. However, in the part where CA seems to be not doing his thing to get married to KN, he did his best to help him together with his wife so they can end up together. FH (2nd sister) is a jealous type girl. Let's be honest, women are different and there are jealous type women. But she is very intelligent and on the latter eps, you see she does her best not to succumb to violence all the time like she used to after her family came as they become her support. CA (KN husband) is a prideful man. He has his own judgement but again let's be real, what he said about their family trying to cling to status is real. It's just rude when he said that when he didn't know bc the reason behind it is understandable. He grew up with money, he does not lack things but when he fell in love he was ready to let go his pride for KN, learned to compromise and be more understanding of what she went through. Letting go of his judgement towards the family and accepted them as his. KN (3rd sister) on the other hand is also a prideful intelligent woman. She does not back down but she did. She fell in love and it was not a competition anymore so she as well learn to let go of her pride. Mama Li (mother) is very rude and annoying imo but you can see how she can lower herself for her daughters and a big kudos to her for prioritizing her kids happiness than money and status. And hopefully as time passes, she can lower her voice as well lol no need to shout all the time and act like she always has an enemy. Now we are in SH and DYX story. And I'm sure you all if you've reached ep 11, you will see simple changes to DYX personality than what he was introduced before and he will. What I'm interested more is SH tho.
All of this are little changes and not huge developments so it felt like the character isn't growing real good but this is realistic. In reality, people do not grow up so much in years. There are only situations that help them grow but if there are no changes in your daily life, would you? That's all I want to say bc people here are either disliking the characters, the writers or idk, it's not just your cup of tea ig. But then again, this is just a simple drama, the story is not deep. They do not really have a big purpose or story to tell except for it to be watched and enjoyed as it is. For 11 episodes, this is what I got and hopefully we will see more happy moments, small success and growths for this simple light drama.

Done! Amazing! Brilliant! Among the 4 popular dramas that are airing the same time as this, GOTD was the first one I have watched. It honestly captivated me bc the plot is fun and interesting. WHD also gave out a great performance. The characters also all did well. I'm not really onto the romance of this drama (I like TXW tho), it's just that I want to focus more on the story revolving XQA and his powers & power struggle. The comedic relief is enough for me than the romance arc itself. So I think the amount of romance scenes is good (except that I did get a little annoyed on the whole LA faking HQ story). Nonetheless, TXW delivered! Her growth towards the end especially talking to his brother was admirable considering princesses/harem doesn't really need to get themselves involved onto those issues. What was fun at the end of 2024 became the seriousness at the start of 2025 lol it made me tear towards the end 😭 Although I knew there would be another season for this (since in ep 1 they showed the title of the book/game was GOTD S1) but I haven't heard any news or update for an upcoming season 2? Did they already shoot the drama? I would be disheartened if they will leave this on S1 bc the S2 seems interesting with the entrance of the identity of the person in black cloak and the person who narrated the game + how everyone will remember everything once again (or not idk) I'm very curious so I hope they do continue it soon. Like real soon. That's it! Great drama!
It's been a day since I finished this drama and I still can't get over BX scene tho. Also, as I said before, to me this drama's plotline was actually cohesive and nicely written including the ending. For me, everything was answered and that every character has their own arc. They weren't there just bc they were side leads/characters but all of them has their own story and meaning in this whole drama. They have their own purpose and they were not left alone just for the leads' story screentime. Regarding the ending, to me it is nice to see that they made a representation and has actually explained why they made that ending for the lead couple and in some way it felt hopeful for the other characters when BS mentioned them. Some dramas won't, leads will just plead then boom happy ending. But no, in this drama, they made a way & reason for the leads to have that ending. Some will even make it an open ending. But this drama introduce the story and ended well that you won't be left hanging (and yes, I'm ok with open ending, I'm just saying this drama diverted from that route). What also made me appreciate this drama more is I have lessen reading other's reviews of this drama but rather watch it on my own. I don't want reviews to influence me while watching so I usually read reviews when I start, once in between and ending. Overall, I really think this is one of the best xianxia out there. I have finally finished it!!! AMAZING AMAZING 😭 Finally a very worthy watch. But too many deaths, too many sacrifices but very meaningful so it was very sad but I'm glad with the ending. I don't know why but I felt specially sad with Bai Xi. I know she was FL and she did really bad things. But I felt like her death and reveal as the Divine Bow seemed to me like ever since she was born she was already destined to die not unlike the other deaths that were made by cause & effect. And to me she was really just starting her real life after 10 years of missing out on the real her. It felt so sad but it had to happen.
Anyway, it was a really great drama! It didn't felt rushed to me bc the Deity Arc they did was really just more of a back story and glad they explained everything in that one ep with Xing Yuan including how ZY & LZ was created. I'm also glad that they kind of answered everything, like how each of the characters were related to who is who. The only thing that boggled my mind was bc I considered this drama related to ALP which I think does not & is a stand alone ig? I meant I know they were TQ & YM as everyone said but I had so many questions when the Deity Arc was explained bc XY, JY & ML being the only deities so is their timeline after ALP. That confused me but I decided to let that go lol bc I'm already satisfied with the drama being a stand alone.
I will put this in spoiler bc it's still an express week but I hope new viewers who are thinking to watch this will give it a chance. It's a great watch!! Casts and characters are great. Plot is interesting & cohesive, means it was really strongly written nicely. And on top of that, the outfits, the places looked nice. What more can you ask for right hahaha so watch this drama!

I feel like this is an interesting drama. I haven't watch historical Kdramas for years since I've shifted to Cdramas. Anyone who can point out the good things in this drama? Is there a lot of political or war related things or it's more on like the growth and success of the FL? What about the romance? Some comments had me laughing because Hua Sen as Chong Zhao/Li Tong Guang in A Journey to Love are always annoying 😅 Why are his characters like this but he's a good actor. AND OMG the Rong Xian-Ling Long story made me cry 😭 What's sadder though is watching this while it's ongoing and I've been seeing that we aren't getting new episodes for some days. I don't know what to do, I'm already watching 2 other dramas to fill in the times I want to watch these ongoing dramas hahahaha it feels not enough but it means THIS DRAMA IS SO GOOD!!! Why does it feel like Sang Qi and Qiu Min's mom had a relationship (based on the hatred of Su) and so Qiu Min is half spirit-half human. Since they exchange Xuan Ling to be Qiu Min that night Sang Qi came, Sang Qi must have thought she is his daughter since Xuan Ling is also from spirit clan. Ok, that's just my thoughts and I could be completely wrong hahahaha but I'm getting curious for the next episodes

Can someone please explain to me the censorship on reincarnation? I felt like I read about it sometime ago that they weren't allowing reincarnation in Cdramas now hence the "it was all just a dream" type of endings in most series now. I'm liking this drama. I'm now at ep 8 and so far so good. The plot and pacing are good and the story keeps on getting interesting. Also, so good to see ZBB again.
