The Best Period Drama I ever watched.

I watched this since the premises was really good and i want to explore more Yao Guanyu's work and it's my first time seeing He Lei acting and Turn out I love this drama. Because it's just not romance but it focused on FL and her mother relationship and FL entrepreneurship growth. The comedy was not too cheesy. It was perfect balance for every genres for Period Drama.

The plot logic is very reasonable. FL gradually understands her mother and teaches the original mother from past and sister to resist loving her. Even though the FL knows the bad consequence will happen to her that day, she has a reason to go out. In the end, the FL's wish to return to her mother's side is fulfilled. All of these things are not accomplished by a few superficial words, but are actually driven by the plot. This is true feminist drama in short drama-emphasizes judging actions based on ability, not gender.

FL is truly intelligent and self-reliant heroine. Many times when she encountered bad guys, I thought the ML was about to appear, but she always solved the problem with her own. He Lei proves her natural acting in this drama. Her economic thinking are biggest help to survive in 1980's.

Yao Guanyu was well-cast and acted perfectly. He contributed 80% of the comedic moments in the show so this drama is not too serious since they bring heavy topic. His screentime was not too much but he makes impact. ML's marriage proposal gives the FL confidence, and the couple are incredibly sweet.

The makeup is so natural and light. But I liked Yao Guanyu's floral shirt, slicked-back hair, and bell-bottoms, he perfectly captures the unruly and resilient spirit of a rebel kids in 80's

The cons are the duration are too long around 4 hours 20 minutes so I need to make watch instalment. There are too many distressing family scenes especially come from FL's dad and annoying chatter from uncles and aunts. I feel bad for ML in the end and last part really feels poorly written.

Recommended to watch and it was the best period drama.

Beautiful scenery hides hollow part of this plot.

The combination of real scenery (Gobi Desert) and decent styling was contradicting with actual drama story.

The plot is hollow and overly unrealistic, with numerous illogical details. ML is initially extremely cautious, even investigating FL's background, showing a "better safe than sorry" attitude. Is it even plausible that he would stoop to a fake marriage with a female celebrity if you are secret agent?

The pacing was slow and the ex-girlfriend's storyline was completely unnecessary, purely an artificial obstacle for the main couple. Another problem is that Bai Fangwen and Guo Yuxin don't really have any chemistry; it's like they're each acting their own thing.

Perhaps hardcore fans of both actors could enjoy this.

The Premises is interesting and new.

I know this drama thanks for their excessive advertisement on the apps .

The plot is generic and new at the same time: FL knew her husband aka ML was cheating with her best friend and FL decide to freeze herself without ML knowing.

Han Yutong convince as Wei Ran who never believe in Love, not too overdramatic. Zhao Zhendong acts as hypocrite person well (how he talk about sweet promises with his wife while he manage to cheat). His crying scene reminds me of Jo Insung crying scene in What Happened in Bali. The Mistress is quite irritating hats of to Dong Zi Yuan for portraying it too well.

For me, the ending was satisfying enough and very well deserve for all the main leads

For all version Jia Yixuan is most well balanced for this role.

People all always praising Wang Nan-Zuo Yi version of this story. But i prefer Jia Yixuan- Ye Haoran even Ye Haoran still lacks on acting terms compared to other version that i watch (Zhang Yiyang and Wang Nan). Jia Yixuan potrayed as some who pretends to be insane to save her life and signally asked ML to help her to fight against her family (her step mother, her father and her sister). ML just being infuriated to FL since they already had one night stand before.

Jia Yixuan has balanced her insane pretentious persona with cunning mind while she just smile and do nothing. Ye Haoran still need to break his little brother stigma if he wants to widen his character and it will be a long time since he always being casted as younger brother role.

Recommended to watch if you are Jia Yixuan fans.

Ignore this version for your sanity.

I checked this drama after Li Shengxuan version and this is worst decision i ever made. Bai Xinyang acting was never improved from i started watching Chinese short drama. I wonder how he can keep his stiff acting for all the entire drama i ever watch (i watched around 5 dramas when he was the main lead and his acting was indeed bad even his supporting role on Wang Nan recent drama was not that good). Not to mention the Female Leads, i don't ever watched Zhang Rui En drama but the chemistry between them was non-exist, it feels like she reciting the dialogue. Avoid this, Avoid this, Avoid this. Unless you're blind hardcore fans of both actors.

Too much unnecessary cut makes plot disjointed

I watched this drama with limited subtitle on Youtube and rewatch on Hongguo apps. I wont recommended this drama for real. I tried to find good thing about this drama since both of the leads are newcomers (i need to get lenient for them but i cannot do this) and there is no chemistry between them To make it worse, the cut the most important part about FL relationship with ML and straight up to their intimate scene with zero chemistry. ML was not really scumbag like other version and FL characterization was too limited to being discovered. They are not showing FL dad miserable part which it make the plot feels disjointed and you wont understand what you really watched.

Underrated drama

I actually don't want to watch this drama when it was released since i didn't have any mood to watch this. But the recent duanju release was so dull nowadays and i decided to watch it via tiktok (Tiktok got duanju series? it was nice). This is no romance and no BL so you can skip this. Zeng Hui and Wang Peiyan gave a great performance. The two team up to hunt ghosts and raise a child, going from enemies to risking their lives, redefining family. episodic ghost-hunting adventures, the theme is fun and engaging, heartwarming and healing, with a touch of humor. This is basically Tinghuadao gathering so most of the artist are from tinghua (i think Jiang Shiqi has already left tinghua back then since most of her recent work are not related to tinghua artist now). There is few plot hole but i can tolerate it since it was first trial and error from tinghua to get this fantasy drama. The poignant love story in the cat demon tale, the deep sisterly bond in the rabbit demon tale, and the unwavering devotion of the MLs mother are all incredibly touching, yet not overly sentimental, just the right amount to bring tears to your eyes . It's a very comfortable watch, and the little girl's performance is also very lively; the sibling bond is subtly hidden amidst the laughter and playfulness. It was unfortunate because it was quite underrated drama and it actually has potential to get season 2 but market are more important nowadays.

Logical Revenge drama i could accept wholehearltly.

I watched this on the day this drama was released and personally preferred this than their first collaboration. If you are Happy Ending enjoyer, i need to tell you this is not happy ending drama or close your eye and find another things to do.

For the summary, ML is a news anchor and struggling actor, an orphan who lives with his mildly autistic sister. With a terminal illness and little time left, he wants to leave his sister money to survive, so he takes on the FL's job to take revenge of her ex husband. Sharing the plight of a life on the verge of collapse and the lack of family love, and fighting side-by-side, the two quickly developed some positive interactions and a cycle of connection. FL was also a volunteer at the orphanage where the ML and his sister worked.

I have to say, ML's character is really well-developed and his depth of characterization was meticulously written by scriptwriter. Wu Tianhao's character types are becoming increasingly diverse; wearing a white shirt, he is pure, broken, yet resilient despite of his condition. Lin Zixuan proofs her character was not just mere housewife who get revenge for her ex-husband, her character reminds me of the housewife of Boku no Yabai Tsuma. Their chemistry is still strong as the collaboration with different approach,

ML's only thought before was to die quickly to leave some money for his sister, needing cigarettes as painkillers to maintain appearances. But after reuniting with FL, a life force and vague hope he hadn't even realized he possessed were rekindled. When the FL offered him a piece of candy as a gesture of respect, he never lit a cigarette again

The plot even meticulously included the condition of ML lungs in the medical report at the end. . Unlike 90% of short dramas, it doesn't arrange for the ML to be recognized by a wealthy family, with money and medical resources readily available, leading to a happy reversal of fate (the usual formula i really loathe with my soul in duanju).

Maybe because people hate Sad Ending, they rate this lower than previous drama (Yes that drama is phenomenal but i preferred this plot even the videography weren't good as their first collaboration) Short dramas should allow for more real human existence: besides dreams replacing everything with color, there should also be the bitterness of waking up, making people cherish the warmth around them more.

Recommended to watch if you are not mind of not Happy ending drama.

Even Yu Ling eats up the acting in this drama.

I watched this with blind box drama and i tend to dislike Yu Ling acting from my previous dramas with her but surprisingly she eats up the acting in this drama . The sole reason because Xie Hongxin acting was more subpar compare to her. Her styling in this drama was quite lacking and her hairstylist was suspected to be her antis. For the chemistry, they are good match. So i stay for the chemistry and FL that was kind of rare for me to do that for Yu Ling.

For the summary, FL was transmigrated woman from modern era who had no memory for her past and wake up on ML bed discovers on her wedding night with the ML that she is not a virgin. FL discover she got daughter and want to hide her daughter from ML. I hate ML hypocrisy in this drama while FL found his 'secret' son and FL was right to points out his hypocrisy. FL just want to divorce ML while ML wants to keep her as his wife despite being hateful toward her. The child actors were very well chosen; the little boy looks like the ML, and the little girl looks like FL. The logic in this drama was kinda missing and the villain was quite old school style.

I wont rewatch this drama but i still recommended to hardcore fans of both actor.

Not my cup of tea.

I am not trying to being pick me or anything but i don't enjoy this version like other people did. Li Ruoxun was acting fine but i feel he don't suit republican drama but his acting is better than Gang Tie Rou Rou. The chemistry between him and Lin Qiunai was average compare to previous drama. Both are better on ancient drama. For FL, i still preferred Long Xi and Chen Linmiao version. SML aka Zhou Lingfeng is excellent, perfectly capturing the madman and yandere aspects, and his presence is felt throughout the entire series. For me it was the best SML for this version and i just stay for him only.

Plot was quite more better and clean than the first version but somehow it lack the soul of the leads. Maybe you can enjoy this drama, but for me i don't really enjoy this version no matter how good SML acting were. Wont rewatch.

Thank God to make Younger sister less annoying

There is too many version about , sisters mistakenly enter the wrong bridal chamber that i watched and i should said this one was completely making me devastated since i like 3 of the actors in here: Chen Zhengyang, Duan Meiyang, and Han Jiahui. Whoever cast Han Jiahui and Cheng Zi as siblings has eagle eye.

The strength of this version the younger sister aka Cheng Zi character was less annoying while other version always making younger sister looks like 5 years old spoiler brat and it was the best Younger Sister in all version that i watch. Han Jiahui may not have alpha woman aura but the chemistry between her and Duan Meiyang are quite enjoy to watch even their intimate scene was not too steamy but it feels warm. Finally, a family drama series understands the concept of "family matters are handled by family," and doesn't let outsiders meddle. For the styling, i have no problem with that.

This version has a smooth plot and solid logic. Finally, there's no villain with a father who goes crazy for no reason and whose intelligence seems to drop. The behavior of each character is logically sound, and the emotions develop gradually. As you watch, you naturally accept that the two couples love each other. MLs mother also got divorced, which cracked me up. The ML's father deserved it; he was always emphasizing rules and being domineering and unreasonable

But there are no real kissing scenes in this drama, I don't understand why Chen Zhengyang and Cheng zi used camera tricks since i know both of them can kiss. It was my biggest letdown in this version. If they add the kissing scene it would be perfect

Did I enjoy this? Yes. Will I recommended it? Plot wise, i still recommend this.

It was quite refreshing Ma Xiao Yu role

I watched this Ma Xiao Yu and Jin Zi and plot wise it was the best one even the hidden identity part was quite too dragging. Ma Xiao Yu in here was less toxic than his other dramas and i quite enjoy this drama too

The first 100 episodes mainly revolve around FL sleeping with a handsome guy, but they break up because of her stinginess. Her family has a pile of expensive items from blind dates, and the handsome guy, unable to bear it, just gets married to her. FL has a spoiled husband who can cook, can argue with her eccentric parents and siblings, and is incredibly loyal and unmoved by other women.

After episode 100, ML true identity is revealed: the spoiled husband is not only handsome and loyal, does housework, but is also rich, and transfers all the houses to her name. So the two have a few minor arguments, a romantic birthday celebration, resolve issues with their parents, and finally, a happy ending.

Recommended to watch if you have nothing to watch.
