Only watched for the CP

I watched this on 2024 and found out it was the same plot as first collaboration of Zeng Hui and Han Yutong. The difference in here Lu Huanyu and Zhang Jinyi were using camera trick on their kissing scene but the sparks between them was slowly growing on the entire drama. The plot was quite faster paced than Zeng Hui's one. The supporting casts acting were too cringe especially the FL coworker. Only for CP fans.

Decent adaptation

I watched this last year and so far this is my favorite adaptation. Peng Yao and Xi Er Li have good chemistry. The most complete version in terms of plot, but the quality of the costumes and props is too poor since it was obvious on-budget drama. I really couldn't help but laugh at the scene where the mercenaries came out. There are not many sex scenes, but the acting is good, and the tension is strong, making people feel both heartbroken and moved.

Worth to watch.

Weak Chemistry and Abrupt Ending.

I watched this because of Peng Dai Dai but i need to be honest she doesn't suit romance drama. Her chemistry with Qian Zhe was weak. Too many logics are not logical, and the costumes and props are barely acceptable. The sex scenes are very unrestrained, The worst of all is the ending was like production team abandoned this drama halfway.

Love Ma Qiu Yuan, but no i don't buy the romance

I watched this version and Ma Qiu Yuan is sole reason i watched this drama. I really hate this version.

The plot is not smooth, and many characters are multiple characters combined (the plots of several characters are completed by one character), which makes some villains jump back and forth, which is very unreasonable. The appearance and acting skills are top-notch especially from Ma Qiu Yuan, but the chemistry between the couple is a bit lacking. The sex scenes are a little restrained.

The things that i loathe is ML. He is core of the evil in this drama he manipulated FL and never have redeeming quality for entire episode. He Congrui successfully making his character detestable.

Wang Xiaoyi baby step for kissing scene.

I watched this last year and this is first time i see Wang Xiaoyi finally properly kissed someone but the first scene of their kisses was not really good because Ye Haoran didn't shaved and it look unclean, aside of that it was decent one. Ye Haoran plays safe in his field—obsessive younger brother ML. The chemistry was still okay to watch even it was barely minimum but for Wang Xiaoyi level its okay (if you look for her earliest drama especially romance its was not really good). The styling was okay too.

The plot was actually simple. A cunning and manipulative younger brother flirts with his wife in various ways, becoming her assistant and gaining her favor. FL endures this mistreatment, but gradually falls for him. It's a sweet and engaging story, not angsty at all.

Recommended to watch if you are look for simple drama.

Emotional depth between the leads is the highlight in this drama.

I watched this last year and decided to put in on shelf since there is no sub until i rewatch this with better subtitle.
Zhao Xi Xi and Su You Cai have sparks in their interaction and the chemistry was on in this drama. It was the highlight in this drama. Su You Cai perfectly captures the "deeply affectionate and forbearing" character, with expressive eyes while Zhao Xi Xi 's initial vulnerability and later explosive power are well-done and delicate.

The most immediate feeling while watching the series is: the emotional intensity is high, and FL's transformation from forbearance to awakening feels very realistic. Watching her pick up her paintbrush again with the male lead's encouragement and dare to fight against injustice evokes a sense of "healing" resonance. However, the plot framework is indeed clichéd. "Marriage to save one's mother," "ten years of waiting," and "oppression by a wealthy family" are common tropes in short dramas. Moreover, to extend the number of episodes, a lot of melodramatic plots involving supporting characters were added. and it becomes a bit aesthetically tiring, and some conflicts even feel unnecessary.

Worth to watch, if you want to see emotional depth in the drama with cliché plot.

potential good drama destroyed by amateur team

I watched this because of Wang Xuan and Zhang Shan. Both deliver their character well and their sparks was completely on. Two good kisser collaborated and got one intense kissing scene and i feel this drama was heavily cut due that. Overall, the script's framework and setting are good, but the director failed to create dramatic tension and ups and downs; the plot felt flat, and the emotional transitions were abrupt.

If you you didn't mind amateur editing in this drama, you will enjoy this drama.

It terms of plot, it was the best drama.

I watched this because i want to see Yue Yuting on non expertise role (a sedutress), she should step out of her comfort zone of period dramas and take on more roles like this. I dont familar with Guan Ye works do this is my first time seeing his works.

This version is all fairly standard and should be one of the more complete versions in terms of plot. FL awakening is explained before and after, and a way to break the deadlock is given in the end, making it a complete ending. Like other versions, the male lead is a perfect character. No matter how many times he's abandoned and betrayed, he immediately forgives the female lead as soon as she shows even the slightest sign of improvement.

The biggest problem with this drama is that the plot is somewhat tragic due to its established setting. FL is unable to act multiple times because of this setting, leading to her abandoning her child and running away with the SML. She's even taken away by the SML in front of everyone, especially the scene with the child – it was infuriating and making traumatic experience for a child.

Putting aside the forced tragedy in those ten or so episodes, the overall plot is quite good, with a decent level of sweetness. The supporting characters are all quite interesting, and the ending is perfect.

Average drama

I watched this on January and i saved this drama since there is no subtitle and rewatch again. I watched because of Jin Zi and Wang Jia Mao was okay actor even some of his script are questionable. It was not bad but not make you gasped. Average.

The plot is about FL appears weak and obedient, but she'll show her claws when the opportunity arises; ML is brave and resourceful, willing to be her weapon. Okay another Yu Yin-Ke Chun good girl version but in ancient time.

Can watch if you don't have anything to watch.

The ending was more abrupt than Moonlight Rush

Actually i watched this first but put this drama on my shelf and done Moonlight Rush first and people on Douyin said this version was better since there is Zhang Chi (i didn't notice it was him). But i have to disagree with them this time. Moonlight Rush was far better than this.

Many reviews of "Moonlight Rust" recommended this one. Well, maybe many people have preconceived notions. Both are good dramas, but there's no difference in quality. This one is shorter, so it doesn't have as many details as "Moonlight Rust," and the emotional descriptions aren't as delicate as Moonlight rush.

The plots are basically the same. FL's character is excellent; once she decides to divorce, she doesn't look back without hesitation. When seeking revenge, she doesn't have a saintly heart and directly gives the mistress a silver bracelet. ML is more of a supporting character, with more kissing scenes with the SML, and she only ends up with ML at the end (so why was everyone criticizing Moonlight Rust in the first place? i never understand)

The acting and looks are both good, SML is also very handsome and Gao Ming acting was decent than Zeng Xitang, SFL is a bit weaker but doesn't have much screen time.

Still decent watch though.

I watched for Zhen Ziqi sake since the plot was mess.

I watched this drama last year because of Zhen Ziqi. I wasn't fond of Li Ke Yi acting before but the chemistyr between the leads was better than Zhen Ziqi with Teng Zewen.

The plot is about FL was switched at birth by her nanny and sold at age five. During this time, she meets ML, and they become each other's ideal women. She ends up in prostitution, becoming a singer. The young marshal ,ML, is well-developed, intelligent, and brave in love. He also falls for her, feeling a sense of familiarity.

The biological mother and brother are both rather dim-witted. FL and SML look very similar; they both see the birthmark but don't suspect anything. Every time the biological mother and brother mistreat the FL it's heartbreaking—a kind of familial intuition. The most intelligent one is surprisingly the adoptive father; he's the first to discover SFL is the biological daughter.

Even when ML exposes the FL as the real heiress, and a bunch of incompetent teammates and even family members don't believe him. Make me angry at FL family for being dim-witted.

There is too many plot hole in this drama but overall it still watchable.

I would blamed SFL screentime for lack of romance tension between the leads

I watched this because of Wang Nan and Sun Qian Xun. It was actually nice but didn't beat their previous collaboration.

Sun Qianxun is basically a guarantee of comedy, and her collaboration with Wang Nan is excellent. The early episodes are very funny, both absurd and hilarious. However, the plot starts to falter after SFL gains intelligence. There are too many plot holes: one night, cute baby, allergies, impersonation—it's all there. And there's impersonation twice.
The grandmother even tries to dismantle FL, who then admits she's human. ML feels deeply deceived and wants to marry the 3FL but he can't let go of the FL.

Most importantly, SFL has too much screen time! She's practically invincible. This results in insufficient romantic development between ML and FL, and the process of their initial romance is unclear. Expectations were a bit high, but overall, it's not as good as the first season.

Decent watch though

If you look for romance, better look away from this drama.

I watched this because of Jiang Shiqi last year. Based on the synopsis, I thought it would be a drama about a fake heiress, a metaphysical wife, and lots of banter, but it was completely different, a pleasant surprise. FL is well-developed, with a beautiful mental state and attitude. She doesn't complain about being kicked out of her home and has no attachment to her ungrateful family. The comedy was well-played in this drama and the verbal sparring is not too much. Jiang Shiqi stills good on this comedy track.

Although the villains cause trouble, they are easily subdued by our heroine's extraordinary abilities. FL doesn't even get slapped once throughout the entire series, which is very satisfying. But for chemistry, between Zhong Zheng and Jiang Shiqi are non existed. It felt so artificial and they just do the task and getting paid without any tension.

Only recommended to hardcore fans.

If romance subplot was more slower, i would like this drama more

I watched this because of Jia Yi Xuan, her recent works are quite letdown some of her dramas are on my on-hold lists so i tried this her drama with Wang Yiran. The beginning is even better about undercover agent who look like FL brother so FL took a fancy for him; the romance between ML and FL falls in love too quickly and feels a bit cliché. The romantic subplot isn't very nuanced. I still prefer the FL when she's a powerful underworld boss—she's both yandere and arrogant enough. Both of leads acting were decent but actually it not make impressed enough. The chemistry was okay to watch but not to make me giggling, i am just nodded on this.

This drama takes the old tropes of body doubles and undercover agents and gives them a fresh, poignant feel! There's no artificial sweetness, only the agonizing struggle of knowing the danger yet being unable to resist approaching. Personally the romance development was too fast if they come slower i would like this drama more.

Still decent watch though.

Eye candy leads with bland acting

I started watching this short drama purely for the Zhang Tingrui and i am not familiar with Wang Han but they are gorgeous. If you judge from the acting, both obviously lack of acting skill and their chemistry was half-baked.

Plot is generic—FL is an adopted daughter of a wealthy family, secretly in love with the SML but too insecure to confess. ML, under the guise of "helping her pursue the SML" approaches her, though they actually knew each other from the orphanage, but he never revealed his true identity.

Unfortunately, the romantic development is abrupt. FLs infatuation with the SML suddenly shifts to her feelings for ML, without any explanation for his feelings or the logic behind her change of heart; the transition feels very abrupt. Adding to the drama is a melodramatic misunderstanding: ML lies to his father, claiming he was just playing with the FL, causing her complete despair.

The essence of a romance drama is the tension, but this drama lacks both build-up and coherence, missing the hook that keeps viewers hooked. However, if you judge from looks not the acting, it's still worth watching. Those who prioritize appearance over acting can watch this.
