I quite like Fang Si Chang attire in this drama

I watched this because of Wang Kaimu and personally i just quite like Fang Si Chang's attire but her acting still average and nothing special for me.

ML is particularly good at flirting, flirting with her from the very first meeting. If you like watching Wang Kaimu's kissing scenes, you should definitely check it out. However, I felt that many parts of the plot were a bit strange. For example, why didn't the ML and FLs recognize each other at first meeting? Later, when they wore masks, they would recognize each o
ther sometimes and not at other times. ML's behind-the-scenes identity was hinted at but not really explained.

if you only watch it for the visually appealing ML and FL, this drama is pretty good.

Nonsense comedy drama

I watched it last year and found out in Tiktok ads and turns out it was entertaining but somehow they got some nonsense plot like COVID-19 like what did scriptwriter eat when they making this? The romance part was quite lacking since they choose to focused on comedy plot (It can't be helped since its Wang Nan and Sun Qian Xun combo). The beginning was quite great FL was transmigrated into ancient while found ML was tyrant king who actually got transmigrated before FL (It reminds me of How Dare You especially the "How are you" part to check ML identity) but somehow got missed on COVID-19 plot and try to make angst but somehow it lacks the feeling and the ending was quite not memorable.

Still decent watch though.

Plausible yet unconventional drama

I watched this drama yesterday since i found the proper subtitle for this drama. If you are looking for entertainment or romance drama, this is not for you. If you look for unconventional plot, you can give this drama a try, Huang Yunyun nailed the female role this time and its my first time seeing Hou Pengyan in ancient drama. The supporting casts are doing great job and my personal favorite were FL's bodyguard and FL maid.

The plot is basically about FL who got second chance after being murdered by her husband who pretended to died with his mistress but the difference she just do any improvisation since she had no clue beside the time before her death. She was tricked by her Mother-in law few times while she want to change her fate without her knowing. The scumbag and mistress commit suicide and die together in the early stages, and the divorce is decided very early on. Later, FL fights with the ML against the emperor, the supervisor, and the imperial concubine. In the end, the couple works together to ascend the throne. Palace

Let's go to most controversial. Many people say that the FL was reborn for nothing, but in my opinion, she didn't even touch the core of this matter in her previous life. Given her position, she has already done her best for example she knew she couldn't change her mother hatred for her. FL also tried to fix ML fate few times even when he was exiled she stayed by his side.

The cons in this drama were editing and story coherence are flawed; there's too much content, and the flow isn't very smooth .There is much plot hole for the example ML repeatedly abandoned the FL for Consort Xiao, and the reasons for his kindness towards her were never clearly explained, which infuriated me.

You can this drama try if you want to see unconventional drama.

Still the best adaptation.

I watched this since i like Dong Yi, he basically embraced the scumbag role and Shi Tong acting was quite okay but not to make you gasped. The chemistry between them was weak than Zhang Yiyang-Sun Lulu version but this version was still okay compared to Wang Gege and Zhao Zhendong one.

The plot is mainly about misunderstand between the two people who clearly love each other constantly test each other's feelings. It's very engaging, not just boringly quiet. Furthermore, ML's process of falling in love is portrayed very subtly; it's really hard to tell that he's fallen in love. Overall, if you disregard the awkward romantic relationship between the ML and FL, it's still acceptable.

The best person in this drama is the FL mother-in-law. Even after the ML and FL divorce, the mother-in-law still wants to recognize the FL as her goddaughter.

If you want to see better adaptation watch this or Zhang Yiyang one.

Lackuster from my favorite leads

I watched this last year with high expectation since Wang Gege and Zhao Zhendong got collaborated and it was not meeting my expectation when i watched this. Both of leads acting was fine, and the makeup and styling were also nice.

Strictly speaking, this drama portrayed a broken relationship for almost entire episode, and then they just casually reconciled it in the last episode. The emotional impact of the ending was too weak and rushed, it feels like this drama wasting Zhao Zhendong and Wang Gege acting skills. Unfortunately the chemistry between them were quite weak compared to their other dramas and comparing this to other version i suggest to watch other version instead.

I was mad after watching this.

This drama was saved by Chen Si and Zhao Jia acting.

I watched this drama because of Chen Si. Chen Si and Zhao Jia fit their roles perfectly and i never expected them to be such a decent match. It was quite light drama but they are look too tired. The kiss was quite letdown for the level of the leads.

The plot is quite old-fashioned: a domineering, misogynistic CEO falls in love with a woman who wants a divorce. ML showers her with affection, FL endures no mistreatment, and the divorce is quick and straightforward. The cons in this drama FL has not get character development while ML was completely a plot device, only appearing when needed. Both the ML and FL were very one-dimensional which make the character depth was too shallow.

The appearance of the SML and SFL is just mindless torture. The villains are surrounded by bad guys, appearing frequently but thankfully only briefly each time, saying a few words before disappearing. There's also a scene where a rival accidentally helps fight off a nasty family member.

Worth to watch despite the flaw.

Waste of both leads acting skill

I watched this since i like both of leads but ended up didn't get any satisfaction of this drama. The plot was quite angst but there is no angst at all if you see masochism, it feels so half-baked.

The plot is somewhat weak. Besides the excellent acting of i Shengjie and Zhang Jinyi, nothing could be offer from this drama. FL doesn't recognize ML just because he's wearing a half-mask? That's a bit exaggerated. The scene where the ML's identity is almost dragged for long time. that's short drama for you.

The chemistry between Zhang Jinyi and Li Shengjie are quite weak compared to their other respective main leads. Even though the kisses scene was quite intense but it lack tension.

Only for hardcore fans.

Lack of chemistry

I watched this because Wang Kaimu but i don't enjoy this drama like other people do.

Actually plot is too disjointed, the pacing is fragmented, and there's too much focus on the romance between the ML and FL. ML's undercover work and FL's domestic power struggles are barely shown, resulting in an overall monotonous and dull experience. Wang Kaimu and Ye Xinxin are gorgeous people but they still lack of chemistry and tension. Ye Xinxin s acting is somewhat weak despite having strong face feature. And yeah it was boring drama.

There's really no need for watching it twice or three times; once is enough. Absolutely not my cup of tea.

The power struggle between women, revenge-driven SFL vs cunning FL

I watched this today and i liked it despite there is many scene felt too jumpy due bad editing. Actually i liked the premises

The plot tells about FL transmigrates into a drama and engages in a power struggle with the reborn original FL while also straightening out her spoiled children. FL's confrontations with the villains are incredibly satisfying, and her approach to educating the children is gradual. Moreover, it not only features a domestic power struggle but also a court intrigue storyline—the first time I've seen a princess enter the palace to seize power. The villain was also reborn to take revenge to FL so it basically transmigrated FL vs reborn SFL.

The entire drama is logically sound, morally upright, and the ML silently protects her. Basically ML in this drama was practically useless and there is no romance plot in this drama. It has a happy ending with the whole family reunited. The makeup and styling are also excellent and Huang Yunyun uses her real voice as dubbing.

Still worth to watch.

Decent drama about cliche plot

I watched this long time ago and it was considered decent from the year the drama was released. Zhao Zhendong plays as amnesia CEO who become father of FL's children. The drama contains generic plot like one-night stand, amnesia, and even verbal sparring between FL and her family. I quite like Zhang Jinyi portrayal of FL, she is not love brain FL and not too damsel in distress when she was bullied by her stepsister and step mother.

For the chemistry, I have no doubt about Zhao Zhendong and Zhang Jinyi even almost no romance scene between them, it feels warm to see them interact with the kids especially Zhao Zhendong. So I understand why his earlier works was become dad. The comedy was there but it feels quite weak and the romance development was quite slow.

The cons was Zhang Jinyi voice was being dubbed.

Still worth to watch.

Sun Lu Lu's performance is same like her previous drama.

I watched this story after i watch Dong Yi-Shi Tong and i must say the previous version was far more better even ML was really Jerk. I quite like Zhang Yi Yang acting so i tried to watch this but honestly Sun Lu Lu performance is almost same in every drama. The chemistry was quite okay to watch.

I must say both leads are have cold to each other. FL blames ML for emotional indifference while ML blames FL for asking divorce. Another miscommunication trop drama. ML never realize his actions with SFL would deeply hurt FL and the i was not having with the ending since ML didn't appeal for his past mistakes.

The premises was quite fresh: corporate slave in hell

I watched this since i like Li Li Zai and it was quite refreshing premises about being corporate slave in afterlife. I don't have any impression about Li Pei Yang beside his drama with Zhang Jinyi but i give this drama try.

The romance in this drama was barely minimum. There was indeed cute interaction between ML and FL but this drama is more focused on underworld company and catching demons. The underworld also has KPIs and customer feedback. When I saw the FL receive negative reviews, I can relate to her since it was life as corporate slave. FL is the lively and cute type, with a very sweet appearance. I need to praise the makeup and styling in the show; they weren't sloppy at all.

I think the FL's character is more compelling than the ML's. ML has been in the underworld for many years, while the FL is a modern woman who ends up in the underworld due to overtime work.

The overall story is actually divided into four smaller stories, which are connected to form the larger narrative, including the FL's rise through the ranks in the underworld. The story flow is smooth, the logic is clear, and there are no disjointed transitions. Instead of an initial dramatic, love-hate relationship, it focuses more on the gradual growth and interaction between the two characters.

The cons in this drama there is mismatch on ML voice actor it feels too stiff.

Recommended to watch.

Decent watch and surprised with both leads acting.

I watched this drama last year and it was good.

The plot is good, but it cannot be viewed with high moral standards. Overall, it's a story about two scumbag women and two love-obsessed women.

This version is much better than the other. FL in this version is indeed a bad woman, but she's unwilling to leave because she's invested a lot in her husband's family; leaving would mean losing everything. In the end, the SML also realizes his mistake and leaves. FL is portrayed as shrewd, strategic, courageous, and calculating, but the ending sees the ML resolving the issues, with FL largely uninvolved (only her status as the adopted son of the second male lead is revealed), and she is given a reason why the SML can't go back together with him.

Du Yafei's acting has improved in this drama; his crying scenes and the tears he shed were incredibly moving. I dont know Shu Xue Man works but i quite like her acting; her crying and coquettishness was quite natural. was better than some of well known short drama actress in period drama.

This version was the best adaptation. You should watch this.
