First part was great but when FL and ML together the plot went downhill

I watched this last year and it was quite memorable Song Yuan Ye because of Yao Guan Yu acting but still didn't become my favorite drama. Sun Lulu acting was quite decent compare to another version.

The beginning is quite interesting, with the plot revolving around the female lead forcibly taking her childhood friend's fiancée, but in reality, FL has amnesia and has forgotten ML However, the plot falls apart later on, feeling anticlimactic and leaving many plot holes unresolved. Sun Lulu have a slight on-screen chemistry with Yao Guanyu. It would have been better if there hadn't been the kidnapping scene at the end it's really distracting the dramas.

Still decent watch though.

It turns out to be the same book as Nan Pan Jing Zhi??? They're completely different!

I watching this since most recent drama are generally mediocre and i want to explore more Yao Guan Yu and tried to warm myself to Hou Cheng Yue. Both leads have decent chemistry to watch.

While watching, I felt the main character's name looked familiar, but I didn't think much of it. Only after finishing the series did I realize it was from the same script as "Nan Pan Jing Zhi" (The one with Wang Kaimu- Ye Xinxin and Zhang Jinyi-Zhao Zhendong)??? I was shocked since it was completely different from previous version that i quite not really enjoy it.

ML approaches with ulterior motives but falls in love with the heiress during their time together. The plot mainly revolves around the FL's struggle for the group's inheritance and the development of new drugs. The family power struggles are fairly standard, while the drug development issues are more suspenseful. Although you gradually develop your own guesses while watching, the overall setup and plot development are quite exciting and engaging. The journey from mutual suspicion to mutual trust between the ML and FL, and their scheme to uncover the mastermind, is very entertaining, without any ridiculous moments. The SML's portrayal of the yandere younger brother is very compelling.

ML and FL relationship progresses quickly, so it's quite sweet, and there's a lot of screen time for them. Actually, I didn't like the SML that much at first, but he was a highlight in the last few episodes.

Recommended to watch.

The premises was good but they ruined it after ancient ML appears.

I watching another Li Youlin and Jin Luying dramas and this one was the weakest drama for all aspect expect the both leads acting and chemistry.

The modern drama parts were honestly quite unwatchable. The screenwriter probably intended for FLs to fight against powerful figures, but clearly failed. On the positive side, the first 40 episodes show the mutual help and touching friendship between the girls. The scene of teaching and performing dance is the best, especially the camera work, transitions, and editing—it's practically perfect.

After episode 40, the ancient ML appears, and everything changes. Perhaps to highlight the ML's role, the ancient FL is weakened in various ways. The original theme of two strong female leads helping each other is gone, turning into a clichéd hero-saves-the-damsel scenario. The modern side is even worse; the entire story is condensed into a single sentence by the agent, which is then read aloud. All the exciting and thrilling moments on both sides are gone, and the villains don't seem particularly pitiful, nor do the scumbags seem particularly unfortunate.

Need to appreciate last scumbag ancient husband acting for being repressed angry due his pride was destroyed by FL. The ending was abrupt.

FL was quite most annoying person for transmigrated drama

I watched this yesterday since i liked recent Li You Lin and Jin Lu Ying collaboration and watch this drama. Both lead acting are decent especially Li You Lin ; he can transformed from cruel villain to clueless lovefool. I quite like puppy in this drama to bad his screentime was only for first part of drama.

The plot is about FL who transmigrated into the ML's era as his first wife who died earlier while she reading history article about him-corrupt and cruel politician.ML was chooses to buried with his first wife. She is basically lackluster in modern era so she didn't develop everything like other transmigrated FL in other dramas. The first half FL just following her knowledge on her history article so she just want to divorce ML like ML promised when they married. ML already begun to fall for her. ML true feelings are revealed when she risks her life to shield him. FL just wants to prevent him from becoming corrupted and killing fewer people, but he ends up falling for FL and not wanting a divorce anymore

The supporting characters are also well-developed; the eldest sister-in-law and Lord Lu both have their moments.

The second half was frustrating, highlighting a man who's tight-lipped and a woman who lacks boundaries. ML and FL almost never fully trusted each other. I even suspected at one point that the FL loved Lord Lu even Lord Lu was quite confused or simple term FL is Lord Lu hardcore fans, I quite understand most of viewer frustrated with FL and i first didn't understand why ML want to be buried by his first wife but i need the explanation of FL first life as first wife.

I quite how the kisses was elevated from the first until the last one the romance chemistry between Li You Lin and Jin Lu Ying was quite good.

Quite decent watch if you are quite patient person. with FL stubborness.

Light drama about reunion after fake confession

I watched this on January and i quite enjoy this decent watch even though not particularly groundbreaking. It's arguably the nice sweet romance drama. No angst and No melodrama included. No unnecessary supporting characters or plot points; the entire cast consists of mostly normal people. ML is scheming, while the FL is oblivious (a bit unaware of her own feelings).

Zhang Zihan x Wang Bingxiang combo is surprisingly fine to watch since i quite like bickering couple but for romance chemistry, it still below average to my standard. The plot is about FL make fake confession to ML, the ML falls for her, but she goes abroad, so they don't have a chance to be together. When they meet again, ML becomes a major client of the FL (a painter) and gets closer to her, pursuing her through various schemes.

The filters are natural, and there's no unnecessary background music. The filters are just right. The only downside is the height difference between the leads, which slightly diminishes their chemistry. Zhang Zi Han's acting is a bit over the top.

Overall, though, it's still a very good to watch.

Lots of verbal sparring with selfless emperor.

I watched and it got me hooked even though the plot was generic and acting was average. It was full with verbal sparring and no kisses from the leads.

The plot FL got one-night stand with ML as her antidote but her partner on war betrayed her and lying about FL identity. SML and his family was being ungrateful to FL and treat her as a slave. FL wants to become SML couple tired to become general on war and got promoted by kingdom.

ML is the greenest flag ever, and simp to boot. He keeps getting rejected but just shakes it and goes back to try the next day. ML, who is an emperor, is a hands-on nanny and bribes FL's daughter to call him dad. He is such sweet emperor since he accept FL daughter as his own.

They didn't killed the the SML was good enough since he needs to living with regrets.

Only for fans of actors.

Old trop but decent kisses for CP fans.

I watched this one my first month i got into Chinese Short Drama world and i quite liked Meng Na and Du Yafei couple back then. It bi generic drama but only worth to watch if you are CP fans.

Plot is about six years ago, ML got one-night stand with FL has been searching for her ever since six years. FL also give birth to a daughter with a serious illness. Three years ago, FL entered into a marriage of convenience with the ML for money. FL's daughter is searching everywhere for husbands for her mother, saying she wants to find 365 man, one for each day. ML is her second "father," wearing a "number 2" sticker on his clothes.

FL has various identities: designer, ML's wife, his savior, and the mother of ML child. She's also mistaken by ML for someone in the sex industry. ML has several identities: CEO, lawyer, the scumbag who bullied the FL six years ago, and the father of FL child. He's also mistaken by FL as a gigolo. It's quite impressive how they can keep misunderstanding each other.The ending, of course, feels a bit anticlimactic. The sweetness level is decent, considering it's Du Yafei and Meng Na, the kissing scenes are indeed good.

The best gender reverse revenge.

I watched this on Dramabox 2 years ago because i quite like Tian Yu and Ye Ting and this time Tian Yu is being scumbag wife while Ye Ting was the victim want to revenge for her wife affair.

Firstly, the scriptwriters did a great job with the plot, character development, and dialogue. ML starts plotting after discovering his wife aka FL's infidelity, only closing in when he's confident of victory. He gradually lures FL into the trap, making him seem like a self-made CEO. FLs acting is also excellent; she appears innocent even after being caught cheating, turning the tables on her husband. ML also do the revenge not with first hand which make sound too perfect for revenge.

Secondly, there are a few minor plot holes. The adulterer is falsely accused of burglary and sentenced too quickly. Although they deleted the call records, that only means they're not on the phone; the telecommunications company certainly has them, proving the wife and adulterer knew each other.

I quite like the ending since they will give some suspense feeling. Recommended to Watch.

Nice premises but need improvement for second couple arc

I watched this last year and the premises is quite interesting. FL has severe sister complex. To be with her sister, she marries her brother-in-law's younger brother. Then, because her brother-in-law is suspected of cheating and she want to divorce.
ML has to appease FL while also ensuring the happiness of his older brother and sister-in-law's marriage, acting as their love protector or their punchback.

Wu Yiqiao's portrayal of FL is adorable and endearing, but on few scenes it feels artificial. Hou Pengyan's as family punchback from FL, SML and FL older sister was quite hilarious and pitiful at the same time. I quite enjoy sisters chemistry too.

Personally there is room of improvement for second couple since they lacked of chemistry and their arc was quite limited. SML aka the older brother has limited screentime so we didn't get enough of his character. The villains are quite annoying even it was easily defeated by the sisters. If they polished the second couple arc, i would give the rating higher.

I watched this since i like Lan Bo and Lu Lu Lu first collaboration and this was also still decent for my liking.

I always think from the FL's perspective, so everything the FL does is reasonable. You can feel that the FL doesn't have much affection for the male lead. She is a merchant's daughter with nowhere else to turn, and can only temporarily rely on the ML for the sake of her younger brother. FL always had a clear idea of ​​what she wanted: neither becoming a concubine nor marrying ML.

It focuses on the plot and rarely depicts the romance between ML and FL; intimate scenes are not a priority. In this storyline, FL doesn't love the ML or rather, doesn't love him enough. She only wants a peaceful life, which the ML simply cannot provide FL needs.

Plot is well-developed, romance is minimum, and the tragic ending is reasonable. However, everyone who dislike tragic endings and only enjoy sweet romance should not watch it.

How Zhao Zhendong not laugh while saying those cheesy pick up line?

I watched this last year, and it still best Ximen Lichen story despite how cheesy ML seduce FL. Both actors brought their characters to life; Han Jiahui and Zhao Zhendong are simply a match made in heaven for Jiang Wanzhi and Ximen Lichen.

The plot is about ML and FL had a secret relationship for three months before FL was forced to break up with the ML by ML family. Three years later, they meet again, and FL has become the fiancée of the ML's nephew. FL and the ML's nephew are in a marriage of convenience, and the male lead's nephew is having an affair with another woman.

If you're watching this as a sweet romance drama, the dialogue is a bit cheesy. Zhao Zhendong's lines is make me giddy (in good and bad way). I quite like Han Jiahui acting since few version of Jiang Wanzhi seems to meek and always seeking for help.

Personally not a fans of this adaptation but for the best adaptation, this one seems superior.

For revenge drama it's quite bland

I watched this drama last year because of Zhao Xixi. Beside the plot twists about FL's father story, it was quite flat.

The script isn't very engaging. Although it's a female-centric revenge story, it feels somewhat flat and lacks tension, wasting the good looks and acting skills of the leads. The romance between Zhao Xixi and Wang Yilei still underdeveloped and i feel this dram could give more romantic moment for them since they have chemistry.

The biggest plot hole in this drama if ML is so capable, why didn't he find out when SFL killed the FL?

Still watchable though.

Complex drama that not glorify the villain

I actually watched this drama on 1 February 2026 since i quite tired of romance story and this drama was quite heavy to finish not because they are boring but this drama has complex plot than rare to find in Chinese short drama. Wu Gung comes to short drama is unexpected surprise. This drama relies on flashbacks, but the narrative is well-organized.

The opening scene shows a corrupt official falling from grace, with former classmates sitting on opposite sides of the dock. Interludes reveal how a promising high-achieving student is gradually corrupted by power and falls into ruin, satirizing the system.

Liu Xiao Xu can portray villainous role without any awkwardness, and his emotions at each stage are spot-on: youthful frustration, trepidation, triumph, and despair. This character is very complex, offering a lot of room for development, but it's also very easy to mess up, so taking this step is truly courageous and commendable. Pan Shu's character was remained true to her original aspirations amidst the ups and downs of system. This drama hits me because when someone you really like, someone close to you, does something illegal what will you do for them to defend them or do upright justice.

The cons is underlying logic of this series. It's about honest people being pushed to the limit; to put it bluntly, it's about being forced into something for something else.

If you want to watch complex law drama without any romance plot, you could watch this.

frustrating drama

I watched this on Dramabox 2 years ago and it was quite challenging to complete this drama. I didn't know the leads name. Li Shengnan was quite tall but not looking tall and realized Yao Guanyu was the ML.

The plot is about ML has psychological issues and can't accept marriage. He and FL have been cohabiting and secretly dating for three years. FL wants to get married and breaks up with him, but he disagrees. However, he doesn't want to get married or take responsibility, so they start arguing and sabotaging her blind dates.

FL say they're going to separate, but within minutes they're entangled again. FL starts dating the SML and ML tries to force himself on her, kissing and hugging her. FL is indecisive, torn between ML's struggles and the SML's relationship.

It feels like the main characters have no moral compass; they're only enjoying their own romance, regardless of others' well-being. SML is just a tool. But encountering such leads in real life would be truly frustrating.

The ending was so abrupt and sudden. ML never told the female lead about FL, nor did he explain the tattoo.

Wont rewatch since i don't want to stiffen my neck for being angry at drama.

Aside for comedic child swap, everything was boring.

I watched this because of Cheng Zi on last year. But I was surprised how the 2023-2024 drama trends come again for a while. It's about generic plot FL and ML got one-night stand FL was pregnant with twins but her son was getting kidnapped and somehow ended in ML hands.

I really want to slap the ML's brother. Other brothers are the first to discover the truth, but this one is more trouble than he's worth. According to the plot, FL is probably only looking for her son and has no feelings for the ML. ML kisses FL every time they meet, which make him more like obsessive person.

ML was the dumbest CEO in short drama. His son was autistic and being bullied by his tutor, and he doesn't even know? If the FL hadn't discovered it, his son would have continued to be bullied by outsider.

This one adds some comedic elements, such as teaching the child homework, and the child swapping makes it more fun. ML was quite dumb for not recognizing his own sons.

Only for hardcore fans who didn't mind stupid plot.
