I was thinking of giving this drama a go especially with all the buzz it's making, but now when I saw the recommendations…
I'd say at least give this a try and just use your own judgement. I actually did like City Hunter well enough, but still never really got that into it. But I love Healer. Like, LOVE IT. I actually find it to be a lot different than City Hunter, especially in 'feel', but the reason the comparison is easy to make is really only because of 2 things: Hero w/secret identity & Park Min-young. And that they're both action dramas. But, for an action drama, Healer imbues a lot of other elements into it's story, which makes for a pretty engrossing watch. I like the characters more and find the backstory to be more compelling. It also just gets better and better with each episode. But, again. I'd say see for yourself :)
Pinocchio's finale episode is out and I'm not even all that excited to catch up on Pinocchio. I mean I seriously…
@justinconfusion LOL, you think 2 days is hard? What you described has been my life for the past month! As for dramas to distract you, I've been having a pretty hard time myself, but I am enjoying the first few episodes of Spy and Kill Me, Heal Me so far.
what's wrong with the ratings....if they don't watch healer, then what do they watch instead? soooooo confusing...
LOL I'm totally not kidding when I say I wish I could pay people in Korea to watch (because they would totally pay me back once they realized I introduced them to the best show ever, duhhh).
@wolfgirl9 I'm referring to those ratings! And when I say it got 1st place, I mean that it beat out the 2 other dramas airing in it's time-slot, Punch (SBS), and Pride & Prejudice (MBC). It's rather close between Punch (9.1% nationwide I think?) and Healer (9.4%).
Wow. Another stand-out episode. This drama continues to impress me with it's brisk, no-nonsense pace and smart, realistic characters. I can't wait for subs!
This is doing absolutely poor ratings (only 6%) , it won't be a surprise if it is canceled, or reduce the episodes…
Dramas have gotten far worse ratings than this and still make it to the end. They are rarely cut and never cancelled. Also ratings for all dramas have been pretty sucky lately. Ep. 10 achieved 9.2 which is isn't far from what other dramas airing in the time-slot got. In fact, I'm pretty sure it got 2nd place.
I have a question before I'm gonna watch it, is it more action or romance ? :) I dont like dramas with full of…
The romance is worth it though, trust me. And I'd actually say there is about as much romance as there is action, you just have to wait a bit for the romance part to get going.
This looks so good but I don't want to start and get caught up with waiting every week for an episode! A double…
You know, I actually highly recommend you do that. Like, no, really. DO THAT. This drama drives you crazy waiting for the next episode and it's actually to the point where I've been counting the hours until episode 9. That said, I'm not sure I'd be able to resist.
does anyone know the ending credit song for ep 2? They haven't officially released the title on the ost. much…
I'm not sure about the name of the particular song, but the OST of the drama is all being done by the band Sweden Laundry. This show was partially created to advertise the band I believe and so the premise itself is probably even based on their name.
I'm watching this for Shin So-yul because I loved her in Reply 1997 and Ugly Alert, but I have to say that Kim Heung Soo is the breakout for me here! I've never seen him before and I'm loving him. Great comic timing and just really fun to watch! The leads also have great chemistry. It's not a perfect drama, but for a daily? Pretty good.
Watched the first episode without subs already and I can already tell that this is everything I've been waiting for! I haven't seen such a good modern-action drama in a while. There's just something really fun about it and it seems like it has a lot of potential to get better and better and better each week. Here's to hoping that's the case :)
Anyone else think this sounds freakishly similar to pinnochio?? I mean she has pinnochio syndrome and this girl…
This drama has actually been planned for a really long time and was even supposed to air much earlier originally so I definitely think this is just one of the instances where both dramas just happened to come around at the same time (unlike, say, all the It's Okay, It's Love copycats about to come out) But I think they actually look and even sound completely different, especially in tone. I'm actually getting some slight City Hunter vibes from this. Also the male lead is an errand boy for hire that will apparently run any and all kinds of errands for the right price...so he should make things very interesting. I'm actually excited more for this even though I'm currently enjoying Pinocchio very much.
