I know everyone has their own opinions but I am still a bit surprised to see many people didn't like the female lead. I was actually really impressed by her personality and confidence. Ever since she was a kid she was already really smart and knows how to read people really well, she is bold and willing to do anything to achieve her goals. And at the same time, she still holds such kindness (how she helped that elderly man in the bus stop, how she looks after and cares for her colleagues) and has her own vulnerable moments (tbh anything related to her parents makes her emotional). Idk maybe I am so (unfortunately) used to "dumb/air headed" female leads in dramas, I thought Ji Ah was a breath of fresh air in comparison lol She seems quite a complex character, probably the most complex out of all the cast, and I love it.
Could somebody explain why is this compared to the Vampire Diaries? Do the two brothers like the same girl?

Yes! As much as I am an avid LDW and YIN shipper ever since Goblin myself, I still think it's unfair to compare their on-screen chemistry with the one he has with Jo Bo Ah, exactly bcus in both cases with Yoo In Na, his character and In Na's characters shared romantic feelings ever since their first encounter in both dramas (Goblin and Touch Your Heart) While in Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Lee Yeon and Ji Ah started on not so good terms and can't even be considered friends, let alone potential romantic partners for each other, as of now. And that's something I look forward to: how the writers will build and cultivate their romance, give me that slow burn please!

I think the lack of chemistry, for now, is because they obviously are just using each other for their own goals. Their relationship dynamic as of now is just neutral or even a bit hostile, so it's understandable that there is no romance chemistry yet. I think slowly they will build their relationship and then the chemistry will start to improve :D
Not gonna lie, my heart hurted when Lee Rang made that sad face when Lee Yeon admitted to have abandoned him. Deep down he just wants some affection after all XD I can't wait to see them reconcile
