I love how despite being a romance drama, the focus is always on the emotional and warm scenes. Like, of course the kissing scenes are awesome, but what's even more awesome and the scenes the director puts more emphasis on, are the scenes where our characters bond and heal each other. That's so beautiful and I love this drama so much for that
The writer better come up with a good and elaborated excuse because I just can't see how Ae Jung thought it was a good idea to keep her daughter away from her father and also keep his identity unknown for Ha Nee for so long. It better not be bcus of some petty misunderstanding.
Wow, this drama is making me see Jo Jae Yoon in a new light (the actor who is playing as Lee Dae Chul). I remember him from Sky Castle and he played a comic relief character in that, so the last scene with him in episode 5 just made me totally awed by his acting. I cried so much on that scene ;_;
You are right. ST always wants to be the elder brother who can e reliable. That's why he always repeats that he…
Yes! But some part of me thinks that maybe he says that because he wants Gangtae to need him, he doesn't just want to be taken care of, he wants Gangtae to rely on him too, something that unfortunately doesn't happen. At least so far, GT is always the one who takes care of ST and not the other way around, but that's mostly bcus GT himself doesn't view ST as his guardian, if anything he views himself as ST's guardian. Which just makes everything much sadder :(
Btw I just wanted to point out that despite Dae Oh being the biggest dumbass ever, I can't help but root for him lol Not only because he is portrayed by Son Ho Jun, but I initially had thought he would be more of an ass, but now I just see him as this idiot in love that doesn't think before acting or talking and the moment he says stupid stuff he immediately regrets but doesn't know how to express it lol
I slowly thought about it, and just like how Gangtae told Moonyoung about their mother wanting Sangtae to have at least one friend that understands him, I think Sangtae is afraid of not being wanted/needed. Their mother died so early in their lives, the one person who was always there for him, and his brother is now slowly falling in love with someone and thus it is taking his attention away from Sangtae. Now, combining the fact that Gangtae once said he "wanted his brother to die", I guess Sangtae is afraid of being left alone, of not having anyone who needs him. I can see that Sangtae is a kind person, but although everyone treats him nicely, none of them actually treats him like a friend, not blaming anyone here tho. Sangtae has a different condition, so they try to treat him differently too. So yeah, all in all, it's really complicated and I feel bad for everyone involved :( I hope they can all become happy in their own ways, and that Sangtae can find someone who he considers a real friend.
Sighss we can never get a good thing without having angst thrown at us later huh lmao But as much as I understand where Sangtae is coming from, isn't he forgetting the fact that Gangtae still went back to save him from the lake, but when Gangtae fell and was drowning, he ran and didn't even look back to see if his brother was ok?? I know he has autism and he was going through some very stressful scenario since he almost drowned himself so he was probably out of it but;;; sighs I just feel so bad for Gangtae and I think the things Sangtae said to him in the last scene just felt so unfair. Btw big kudos to both actors, their acting was just *chef's kiss* splendid 12/10, broke my heart into a thousand pieces lol
Oh my god that could mean a K.Will - Please Don't twist with Ryu Jin loving Dae Oh. What if he made them broke…
HAHAHA IKR?? I really hope for a plot twist like that, considering how Ryu Jin has been acting lately, it seems more plausible that the one he likes is Dae Oh and not Ae Jung. Also, still talking about the poster, we can see that Koo Pa Do and Ah Rin are seated a little bit farther in the back from their love interests (Ae Jung and Dae Oh), while Yeon Woo and Ryu Jin are seated in the front and also closer to them compared to Pa Do and Ah Rin. That could mean they are both the ones more involved with our protagonists and also the ones who could cause more "trouble" (or already caused more trouble?) for these two's already complicated relationship
Wait I just noticed something. Maybe it's just pure coincidence and they didn't really think all that much about it, but in the main poster with our 6 main cast, Koo Pa Do and Yeon Woo are seated closer to Ae Jung, which shows both of their interest in her, but still not as close as Dae Oh is, since he is most likely the end game guy for her. But both Ah Rin and Ryu Jin are seated closest to Dae Oh, and from the teasers we got so far we can especulate that Ah Rin likes Dae Oh, so that can mean that Ryu Jin is also in love/likes Dae Oh. But maybe I am just thinking too much about it XD
But if Ryu Jin is a closeted gay, then what was up with his reaction to Ha Nee contacting him and finding out…
His reactions towards Ha Nee contacting him may be out of guilt. If he really was the one who split them up or caused a huge misunderstand between them (which seems very likely, since he was the one closest to them back in college and if he really did like Dae Oh back then), but didn't know Ae Jung was pregnant during that time, idk if he later already found out about her pregnancy or he only found out when Ha Nee contacted him, but he seems really nervous and mostly guilty about it.
The plot has been very predictable so far and I am not really liking it. If they really come up with the typical "we had a huge misunderstanding 14 years ago and instead of talking out like adults I just decided to go away and hide the fact that I had a kid with you", I will be throwing hands with the writer. You can't just cast an amazing cast just to destroy the drama with an lazy-ass writing. But let's hope I am wrong (gosh do I wish it's not as predictable as it seems). Btw, ever since I saw someone pointing out the possibility of Ryu Jin actually being a closet gay, which seems very plausible, I can't help but try to pay extra attention to his and Dae Oh's interactions and I really want to believe the little plot twist: the fact that Jin actually likes Dae Oh and not Ae Jung, especially how he treats Dae Oh so well and stayed in contact with him all these years (would you really do that to someone who stole the girl you like?) but seems so very uncomfortable and kinda annoyed every time Ae Jung is mentioned, which seems like jealousy to me
After episode 3, I can say something for certain: there's something fishy about Ryu Jin and seeing how he acts all gentleman and kind in front of the employees in his company, but once nobody is looking, he completely changes and his facade crumbles down. I mean, he is an actor after all so it makes sense that he can "trick" people into believing his perfect persona, but idk, there's something about his whole character that just doesn't click with me. He is also probably the one who set Ae Jung and Dae Oh apart. Also, just like how someone here pointed out, I didn't like how Ae Jung kind of manipulated Dae Oh into signing a contract with her. I mean, I get you two hate each other now because of your past relationship, but can't you be an mature adult enough to tell your ex why you broke up?? I know there's some really big misunderstanding regarding their break up, but damn man, at this rate the writers are just dragging it out and making her character seem like a petty person who can't voice out her reasoning and can't talk things out like an adult. But alas, we are talking about a kdrama after all, the writers always love to drag out misunderstandings and angst just for the heck of it.
