What a strong first episode! I loved the comedy and how relatable Jang Ha Ri is. And I knows this is only the first episode, so I might change my mind later, but I didn't like any of the three guys lmao Wish Ha Ri could just be a single mom because none of the guys deserves her. But I know she's probably going to end up with Yi Sang, which is the one I disliked the most lols
She has a crush on him. But I think the new resident who "thanked" him for serving the pregnant woman might be…
HAHAHAHA SAME I think he doesn't really have time nor the mind to care about romantic relationships considering everything that has been going on in his life. But hopefully with his mom finally deciding to divorce that asshole and moving on, I hope Seokhyung can finally take some mental rest and get some love :') What I like about Min Ha is that despite her complaining about things, she can easily see the other side of the coin too and correct her mistakes. She is honest and caring, hence why I think she fits perfectly with Seokhyung :D

I hope she really does, because we have only seen implied hints so far that she wants to confess to someone, but she never actually said outloud that her crush is Seokhyung, although she does ask about him etc, but that could be interpreted as her being curious about her superior at work. Idk maybe I am just getting paranoid because I have no idea what the writers could do at this point alksjdasd
hey guys quick question~ i've seen a few comments about platonic relationships,,is this drama a highly romantic…
I don't know how to measure in percentage but the romance in the drama is mostly just implied for most of them. The writers likes to slowly develop many kinds of relationships and romance is one of them but it's mostly slow burn. There has been only one couple that has been formed so far. But aside from romance, there's plenty of focus on friendships and slice of life/medical stuff too, so I guess it's a perfect mix of all sorts of relationships?
If the drama is just baiting us with Min Ha apparently having a crush on Seokhyung only to reveal later that she actually crushed on someone else::: I am gonna riot
Unfortunately, my least favorite character is Gyeo Wool. Something about her or her plotline I don't like, or…
Gyeo Wool as an individual is pretty awesome and she knows when she is wrong and always tries her best to improve. What I don't like is how the show is sometimes putting that aside just to make her the "one resident that has one-sided crush on Jungwon and thinks about him all the time"
Can someone explain what does his scene means towards the end of the ep? Did he get rejected by the girl or what..?…
The girl that appeared to be his fiancee (or maybe his fiancee's daughter i am not sure) is that one patient's granddaughter, that grandma in which Dr. Cheon told to go look for another hospital instead at the beginning of the episode
Wow can Ikjun stop making me fall for him everytime he is on-screen?? Not only is he a great and caring doctor to all his patients, he is a great friend, he takes care of his colleagues and is extremely friendly with them, he is an awesome af dad, his singing voice is 12/10 and now we get to see him being a caring and doting older brother to Iksun too. What do I do with all these feels?? :(((
No rocks from me. ;)I think one needs to remember that they work together so she does know him on some level.…
I can understand why Gyeo Wool would admire him professionally speaking, but with so little to go about and how they haven't really bonded outside of work-related stuff aka not really talking about themselves to each other, I just can't feel the chemistry between them. Also I don't like how in the latest episodes Gyeo Wool's whole character has been turned into "that resident who likes Jungwon and only thinks about him". We all know that she is more than that but almost all her scenes end up being related to her daydreaming about Jungwon etc. Jungwon may treat her differently but the difference is that he treats everyone so kindly but when it comes to Gyeo Wool he is cold. That doesn't particularly seem hearfluttering for me. He definitely has his own motives I am sure (and I don't dislike him for that), but if we were to view things in Gyeo Wool's perspective, he is being kinda an ass to her, so she and her feelings "deserves better" yknow.
Someone pointed out that everything Jungwon, Junwan and Seokhyung said in episode 1 in that funeral scene actually happened in episode 8. In episode 1, after hearing Jungwon's phone alarm: Junwan: "I though I lost my unborn child" to which Seokhyung replied "Do you know how sad it is to lose an unborn child? How can you say that?" and in episode 8 Junwan really lost a baby patient (it wasn't HIS own baby but you get my point lol) Seokhyung: "My heart almost exploded" to which Junwan replied "Heart explosion sounds scary. How can you say that casually?" and by the end of episode 8 he definitely got an "heart attack" after he got informed about his mom :( Now what's scaring me is Jungwon, he said "My head is about to crack" to which Songhwa replied: "Then you will die". And in episode 8 we got a little scene which introduced us to Jungwon's recurrent headaches. I am starting fear that Jungwon may have a serious illness D:
The synopsis in here seems completely different from the synopsis I read on Dramabeans?? Here's the dramabeans one:
Jung Il-woo stars as a chef named Park Jin-sung who runs an odd little late-night restaurant where customers choose which drinks they want. Customers choose their drinks, but their appetizers are chosen by Jung, who customizes the dishes to match their drinks. His goal is to provide diners with warmth and comfort through delicious food and excellent customer service. Seeing customers enjoy their food also gives him a great measure of happiness. At the urging of one of his regular customers, Jung becomes the host of a new variety show called Midnight Snack Couple, which shoots him to popularity and fame.
Playing this regular customer is Kang Ji-young, whose character is a passionate PD named Kim Ah-jin. She usually has a smile on her face and always looks on the bright side. Her optimism is only matched by her love of food and drinking. After working hard as a crew member in production teams for many years, she finally gets her break as a PD when she convinces Jung Il-woo to become the host of her TV show.
Lee Hak-joo plays the role of successful fashion designer Kang Tae-wan. He hosts his own fashion TV program and comes to know Jung Il-woo and Kang Ji-young when he’s brought onto the Midnight Snack Couple variety show as a stylist for Jung’s character. As the three work together, they eventually become involved in atypical love triangle.
Ever since the drama introduced us of Gyeo Wool's crush on Jung Won, there has been something about their relationship that kind of didn't sit well with me, but I haven't been able to really put it into words. But now I think I may know what it is. I will probably get rocks thrown at me lmao but imo Gyeo Wool's crush on Jung Won seems more of a deluded crush than anything. Like, she has this image of Jung Won formed into her mind that she likes, but not the "real Jung Won" that kind of feeling? (I have been through that so I know very well how bad that is for both parties involved lol). Because she doesn't know much about him, she doesn't act like herself when she is with him, and Jung Won looks uncomfortable when he is with her. For the past 8 episodes, Gyeo Wool has spent much more time asking people about Jung Won than actually interacting with the man. I know that she is shy/introverted and all, but I took a look at the other characters's romantic relationships/all the love lines introduced to us to take as an example and they all had some kind of bonding so far. But for those two, they barely interacted with each other. Idk, maybe I will be proven wrong and the writer will give us more about them, but for now their relationship seems too awkward to me.
I just binge-watched this in literally 3 days because I became obsessed with how good it was! lol The comedy and romance was both top-notch for me, something I have been missing in a lot of romcoms lately. The chemistry between the leads were SO GOOD like, I spent the entire drama rooting for them and in the end I still wanted more of them because I am greedy XD And I loooved that there was no love triangle drama in this. Ri El is awesome and although Dr. Hong was reluctant at first to give up on Ji Ah, the more he saw Ji Ah and Min Kyu's affection grow and the more his own affection for Min Kyu grew too, he started even rooting for them. It was such an refreshing turn of events tbh Also, let me add that another thing I LOVED so much about this drama is how Min Kyu not only bonded with Ji Ah, he also befriended everyone in the Santa Maria team, and they were all crucial to help him with his loneliness. That was also so refreshing and I loved every aspect of their friendships! I have seen people complaining about the fact that Madame-X's identity was never shown, but I think I am one of the only people who actually didn't mind it at all, because imo her identity wasn't that important to the plot whatsoever. So yeah, I loved this drama a lot and I will very likely rewatch it again some time later, because I am already missing all the characters, especially Min Kyu and Ji Ah ;w;
