Modern dramas are great for him that is true but he might risk being typecasted if he gets such roles and no offense but bossy cold guy roles are already too common in chinese dramas, what he need is groundbreaking roles and versatility. Heyu cares more about his acting and takes it seriously. Casting him here is one of the great choice

Heyu worked so hard for this drama, he is a dedicated actor and he also rode his bike from hengdian to nanjing because he wanted to understand zhaozhao character better, it was a 32hr ride, he is a funny guy but when it comes to his work he is always serious about them.
