he died on the way back to korea to meet her, presumably in an accident. (they didn't say how but it is assumed)
Probably not. If it had been a plane crash or other disaster (especially a plane from New Zealand) she would have heard about it and his name would be on victim list.
What's more painful is the fact that Na Bora never get to see and read the letter from Woonho 💔
It was strange to me that the writer had Woonho drop the letter in the street. (You don’t usually see a lead litter for one thing). But also because that normally a setup for the other character eventually finding the letter. But they never went back to it.
BTW, that drama has just about the most horrifying scene ever involving a child. What they did to her in that cave. I still get chills thinking about it.
Wait im so confused about the ending?? Someone plz explain??Like what happened to won ho and why did he not came…
Woon Ho died. We don’t know how. But that’s why he never comes back to Korea. As for other characters we know nothing about what happened to them. We only know about the older Bo Ra.
SPOILER SPOILERDoesn’t make sense.. like how did Hyun Jin not know about Woon Ho’s death? Like he’s his…
That’s a good point that Hyun Jin would have known. Also, it’s not like Woon Ho moved to another planet. Bo Ra obviously would have known the town he lived in. Google existed in 2001. Bo Ra could have done an internet search and learned he had died, or at least learn who to contact about him.
In Korea they have so great actors and actresses so they should cast someone that goes with the profile of the…
This is always the case with Kim Yoo Jung. All of her acting life she has been paired with MLs much older than her. There just never seem to be actors her age at her acting level.
People are comparing this to “25-21. But this was a brief romance that ended with the death of one of the leads. Full stop. 25-21 on the other hand, involved a much longer love affair between two people who were ostensibly soul mates, but who both decided they couldn’t put up with extensive separations. (Ha! Real soul mates would have made it work).
Anyway a very different story. I found 25-21 to be a much more contrived and unsatisfying ending, especially since it was a 16 hour drama, so we had a lot more time invested in the characters, and it was a lot more infuriating when the writers pulled the rug out from under us with that ending where neither lead was willing to compromise their ambition for their love.
I’d like to see Kim Yoo Jung stretch her talents a bit next time. She’s done enough rom/coms and Joseon dramas. Maybe a film noir where she plays a revenge murderer., lol. She did play kind of an offbeat character in 8 Nights, but she had almost no lines in that.
I don’t understand why some people are so upset about it’s not explained how he died. Just assume he died in a car accident. Those crazy New Zealand drivers. Or maybe he slipped in the shower.
Kim Yoo Jung is marvelous in this, as always. And it was great to see Han Hyoo Joo at the end playing the older Bo Ra. Just as in Dong Yi when KYJ played the young Dong Yi and HHJ the older one, although in that case KYJ was only 10 years old, lol. Even then she was terrific . .
I learned years ago not to read the MDL comments before watching something because there is always at least one person who doesn’t follow the spoiler rules. In this case there were about a hundred people, LOL.

Her first kiss on screen, which was also her first kiss in real life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl8Q0pm1xis

It’s not important to the story.
