Finally completed the show, Definitely a masterpiece. There are so many arcs in the last 2 episodes but it didn't…
He did. Episode 10. Actually he pushes her to the ground more than anything else. The scene where she screams at him she will tell everyone he likes her.
somebody pls just answer with yes/no, does it have the same ending?
I would say the ending is very different. In the original the ML was thrilled to see the FL, he couldn’t stop smiling and gripped her hand so tightly and for so long it left an imprint. He definitely wanted to see her again. In the C version he was happy to see her but mainly because she was doing well. There was no romantic feelings on his part and there never had been for him throughout the drama. I think it was left more open in the original. The ML and his wife were also back together in the remake, whereas in the K version it was strongly implied they were separated, if not divorced.
everything of the Chinese version is even better than the original.
Of course I finished the remake. I wouldn’t be here yet if I hadn’t. I’ve asked you twice to give me examples of scenes in MM you don’t like, but you are apparently incapable of doing that. It makes me wonder if you really watched the original, especially given how strongly partisan you are against Korean dramas. Certainly it seems very unlikely you watched it with an open mind.
I gave the remake a score of 8.5, which I I think is very fair, if not maybe a little generous. There is no way I can give it a 9 or a 10 when so much of it is based on the efforts of others, the creators of the original. I will stop this conversation with you now as we are high jacking the thread.

Well, once again you just pile on a bunch of generalities as well as insults, which is your stock in trade. That is a direct violation of the site’s rules BTW. I asked for a specific scene that you objected to so we could test your claim that the two versions are different, but you provided nothing. For example, the scene where the older brother/uncle pays for the wreaths at the funeral. The same, or different. The interactions with the movie actress? Same or different? One big difference I noticed is that the monk is completely cut out of the C version. He played a critical role in Donghoon’s emotional growth in MM but there is no counterpart in LS. Anyway, I’ll ask again if you can provide some specific scenes and maybe some dialogue that you object to in MM, and not just saying you don’t like the comedy or lack of depression. That by itself is such a bizarre way to Look at it.

You are hopeless. The brothers ( or uncle and brother in C version) are also goofy. I would say the uncle is even more lighthearted than the older brother in MM, who is crying most of the time. Anyway there isn’t much difference between them and pretty much everything else in the two dramas, because it’s a very faithful adaptation of the original. The C drama is good, I totally agree with that, but for a remake to be better than the original it has to be truly exceptional, 90% of the work, the ideas, the story line, the acting cues, the timing, the syn-chronization are derived from the original, unless they take the story in a completely different direction, which was not the case here.
Can you give a specific example of “comedy” in My Mister that you disliked, because I’m pretty sure they had the same scene or a similar one in the C version.

You keep mentioning the “comedy” in My Mister. What comedy? The brothers? They are the same in both versions, with their goofy start-up businesses. There is certainly no comedy in the central core of the drama, which is the relationship between the leads. And it’s ironic that you think MM is not depressing enough, because on the My Mister page the main complaint of those who don’t like the drama find it “too depressing”.
Your objections to the original are out of sync with just about everyone, and really don’t make any sense.

Everything? Really? Everything? Oh well, you have no credibility in this matter because even after only one episode of the Chinese version you were saying it was much better than the Korean original. How could possibly know that after only one episode? I guess you are clairvoyant, lol.
BTW you have generally ruined this thread with your polemical, non-stop posting.
I started this because the FL played the unforgettable “Veronica Park” from My Secretary’s Secret Life. I finished it only because I couldn’t believe how bad it was. The ML treated the FL like garbage almost from beginning to end. I gave this 1.0, my lowest rating ever. So awful.
Nothing special about this drama, except for the wedding proposal in the last episode, which is about as original as it gets! Of course, it could never work with a normal person.
I gave it a 7.5, and that’s probably too generous. The FL character was written in such a passive uninteresting way that I yawned a lot when she was on the screen, and it never really got any better. However I enjoyed the 2FL very much with her spunk and energy, and I liked the interplay between her and the 2ML. I could have easily watched them for 4 or 5 episodes instead of the 1.5 they gave us.
They also repeated scenes to a ridiculous extent for a 10 episode drama. I think we saw the scene of her in the snow looking back at the school at least 20 times. Shame on them for that.
