Boss Nawat is disappointed with the new subscriber count. I think it's around 10,000 as of March 9. I don't think…
I agree with Thai fans, it’s way overpriced. This show has the potential to be really big especially domestically as Engfa and Charlotte are really popular, but they should have sold the streaming rights instead of overcharging fans on Youtube. I understand we can’t watch everything for free obviously but this is too much just for one series. The fact that they even made it difficult for Thai fans to watch and support as well means they really didn’t think this through.
they’re still in pre-production and workshops stage. i can’t see this airing until early 2024 given how busy…
well… aside from the usual brand events and lives that take up alot of their time:
this month they have 2 cutie pie japanese fanmeetings and the cutie love concert. then cutie pie promotions are finally done.
zee: filming for 2 upcoming lakorns, zomvivor filming, also has supporting roles in naughty babe & middleman’s love.
nunew: his upcoming debut single and its promotions. zomvivor filming, likely promotional stuff for his series mission fan possible (i’m expecting some kind of concert for this too as i believe it’s a musical series featuring a fictional boy band and we know thailand love their tie-in concerts/fanmeetings), also a supporting role in naughty babe.
both will also have their own individual birthday fancons like last year, and a zeenunew fanmeeting.
all this on top of workshops and filming for the next prince.
this is just stuff i vaguely know about and can remember off the top of my head. with how busy they were last year i expect this year to be much the same. they seem to be almost constantly working.
well... god knows what they're going to come up for our skyy 2 😂 i honestly don't feel it's necessary.
the finale was really unintentionally funny and just nonsensical to me. i liked the tattoo kissing, the cinematography, nat and perth's acting was compelling. everything else was... uhhhh. i'm so bored of palm's self-sacrificial nature being his entire personality. neung turning up to the beach in a suit made me laugh. i'm glad at least ben and neung realised how unfair they'd been to criticise chopper for his dad's actions. i can't believe he actually had to shoot his own dad for them to forgive him and stop blaming him. like... jesus christ. terrible writing.
they dropped the ball on chopper/ben to such an extent that their scenes in the finale just felt forced. they're cute, but i felt nothing. i know people rave about chimon's acting but he was absolutely wasted in this. as an appetiser for them starring in dangerous romance this kind of flopped ngl (i am still hyped for it though).
i honestly found this show decently entertaining throughout. i've seen way worse from gmmtv. it wasn't too bad before the script fell apart and pond and phuwin were required to do some dramatic heavy lifting and couldn't really deliver. phuwin was overacting like his life depended on it and pond genuinely has the worst line delivery in this that i've seen in awhile (i know the stilted dialogue didn't help but please put some emotion into your voice!). i genuinely like them both but they have a long way to go acting-wise. perhaps fluff and light comedy is more their thing (phuwin was alot better in futs imo, even his emotional scenes were more effective); the level of lakorn-esque dramatic acting this show required is not their forte. but tbh even if the acting was better, the dumb script is ultimately what let this show down... 😮💨
ah I didn't realise this was also related to the novel The Gamer and his Awkward Boy (featuring Ohm and Fluke's characters as the main couple), the adaptation was cancelled years ago and I think New was also going to direct that series. I wonder whether GMMTV in the future might buy the rights to it and adapt it as well. It sounded really cute.
they’re still in pre-production and workshops stage. i can’t see this airing until early 2024 given how busy zee + nunew are this year and filming will take some time due to overseas shooting as well.
the trailer was cute, light and fluffy. i want to know who the screenwriter is though because if it’s the same one as star in my mind & between us, we’re screwed 😅
ah i really enjoyed that episode. you could really feel the adoration that tinn & gun have for each other 💗 they’re just so endearing! you can really feel their natural chemistry.
personally i prefer bad buddy due to nanon and ohm’s acting and chemistry but msp is a very charming and enjoyable watch and surpassed many people’s expectations. there wasn’t much hype for this show prior to airing but it’s a hit in thailand and more popular than GMMTV’s 2022 batch of bl shows.
i think the vibe is somewhat similar (same director worked on both shows), if you liked one you would probably enjoy the other
honestly this is one of the better k-bls we’ve had recently in terms of acting/chemistry, script and editing. it deserves to be way higher than a 7.7… once again i am baffled by the ratings on mdl.
