This was a great start, it’s feels a little surreal to me that it’s actually airing lol. I love how Mile carries himself as Kinn, and the relationship between Chay/Porsche was really touching. You can really see how much Porsche adores Chay, Apo was so damn good in their heart to heart scene smiling through his tears 🥺😢 the supporting cast are very good as well.
Theo is honestly the worst boyfriend ever, he did so much to get Akk to chase after him (why couldn't he take the initiative himself if he wanted them to be more than friends...) and still even to the end he doesn't fight for Akk, doesn't reassure him or tell him he loves him and just leaves the damn country and expects Akk to run after him AGAIN. He is exhausting.
I thought Youku got their act together with subbing their dramas since Word of Honor last year so how have they managed to drop the ball with TBW? It's one of their biggest shows in 20222. Hopefully we don't have to wait too long, I was really looking forward to this...
International views are nice but understand they don't make or break any of these actors or their dramas. International…
Of course the international market isn't Youku's main priority but you wouldn't expect the subs to be delayed for a major production like this though - especially when Youku finally got their act together last year after Word of Honor and started subbing their shows on youtube... this is one of their biggest shows in 2022. Hopefully we'll get some positive news soon about the subs.
I really miss the days of good old tropey kdrama rom-coms, I'm glad this show exists. It's really fun so far! There's a reason why the contract marriage/relationship trope has been done so many times tbh and it's one of my absolute faves.
Sejeong is great (the perfect rom com heroine imo). I've realised this is my first time properly seeing AHS in anything (I always drop his dramas very early on). Seol In-ah's aegyo - omg I adore her. The secondary couple have alot of potential (more scenes please!) and I love the girls' friendship too and that they won't be torn apart by a man (like in She Was Pretty).
So I've been pretty much a stalker to everything this series related...I was counting the days hence my expectations…
Kuea isn't aware that Lian actually likes his true self, he doesn't notice his little smiles at him. Lian so far seems no nonsense and a workaholic and Kuea doesn't think he would like his true self (outspoken and a lil "rebellious" lol) so he's created this obedient cute persona for himself that he thinks Lian would approve of and love. I think the change probably happened when Kuea's grandfather died and he doesn't want to lose Lian and so changed himself to please him (so he thinks).
clearly the ban has not been lifted lol, if anything it became stricter, they can air it bc it will not be available…
Because they would make far less money from it if it's not able to air in China... Immortality is one of the most expensive danmei adaptations ever and Tencent invested alot in it.
finally this is airing! sarin/job’s chemistry looks great from the teasers 💕
