lbr Hyuk has more acting experience and is more natural than Hyun Jun, even just from the trailer... chemistry looks more natural too. I'm hopeful this will be a S2 worth watching.
Blu-ray and DVD release in April. You can buy it from the usual places amazon jp, cdjapan etc. The Blu-ray has English and Chinese subs! It has bonus making of footage as well. https://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/TCBD-1223
I was expecting this to be a lot longer than 24 episodes. I'm down for a short running time though, hopefully that means the pacing is on point rather than a super draggy/bloated 40 episode drama.
Would you guys recommend this to someone who has never seen any version of f4? I know that people like it a lot…
I would check out the official trailer, if you're not feeling it it's probably not for you (https://youtu.be/2FlABhZaPqY). I think this is a good entry point if you haven't seen any of the other versions. It's quite faithful to the source material while feeling like a fresh take on it at the same time. It has less of an exaggerated manga vibe and feels a little darker/more grounded. Also aesthetically this version is super pretty. ^^
I totally get people's criticisms of this episode and I feel the exact same way. I do love the show and adore PatPran but yeah, not impressed with this episode as a whole.
I do get that Pran had lied to Wai and he was mad, however him being hurt does not mean he can just (quite vindictively) out their relationship to their peers. That was a totally overblown reaction and very cruel imo. And he never apologised and treated Pran so badly this episode. They could have attempted to "redeem" Wai in another way (e.g. TALK IT OUT) rather than some overly dramatic storyline where Wai ultimately helped Pat and saved him from being arrested. I mean that's just bare minimum decent thing to do especially when Pat was even standing up for Wai and defending him in the first place! (which he didn't deserve). He should've listened to Korn and kept out of it. But Wai helping Pat doesn't excuse Wai's previous behaviour and it doesn't excuse what a shitty friend he has been to Pran.
And also why on earth didn't Wai warn Pat that guy had a gun? Someone was bound to get hurt. Honestly Wai is absolutely useless. Although I kinda liked how Pat was basically treating Wai like a whiny moron this isn't just some petty falling out between Pran and Wai. I felt like Pat's reaction was more in line with just Wai being mad at Pran for hiding their relationship from him, rather than Wai actually exposing their relationship to everyone.
What Wai did (outing them) wasn't treated seriously enough or basically addressed at all and that sucks. I thought Pran and Pat both knew what Wai had done, but this episode made me think they didn't because they never confronted him about it??? I don't know it's so weird.......
first of all, this looks expensive af. i love the cinematography. tu was pretty great, especially for a newbie. i see some improvement in bright’s acting too which is a plus.
MBS are on a roll it seems. Also Ohara Yuno is the cutest thing omg!
