I think that popular, established actors don't necessarily have much interest in danmei adaptations - so young, inexperienced casts are going to be more generally the norm, even for big IP's like this.
I really liked the cinematography plus Hagiwara Minori & Yamashita Rio's performances were great. The relationship between the sisters and why there was so much resentment from Kanata (before Hinata's revenge and her sleeping with Tooru etc) needed more development imo to really make me understand how she found her so suffocating. I get that she felt she sacrificed her happiness with Tooru for Hinata, but I don't think that reveal had the impact it should've had.

It's because the original novel/author has alot of controversy surrounding it, as she blatantly used real life gamers' stories without their permission and won't even admit it.
