ooo which episode is that?

wow, this is a huge financial loss for the production company & SBS but I guess the extent of the backlash has left them no choice. We still have some upcoming sageuk productions, they will have to be extra careful now.

I do think this production team and screenwriter have made some strange and very deliberatechoices with this show, so blatantly distorting history when you could’ve gone fully fictional with the characters and using another country’s props and costumes does seem really odd. Alot of the issues with this drama could’ve been avoided.

Did they forget to put up a warning saying "All characters, names and stories etc. are fictional" or something?…
they have used real historical figures, obviously it’s fiction but people get mad when you start blatantly going against what is deemed as “historically accurate” charactisation i guess

I wonder if all these people coming to the "bromance" cdrama pages, talking about the leads' beautiful friendship…
10000% agree, thank you for saying this! i try to ignore those comments but they do get to me and really get me thinking if we are watching the same show half the time, like people really like to bend over backwards to shout bromance at every opportunity....... weird

I think this censorship of gay romance has actually worked in favour of BL adaptations in China. It allows established…
You're right, I guess we may not see more "mainstream" actors take on danmei adaptations without these shows being censored. It may sound a bit of a sweeping generalisation, but I think it really has forced the production teams to really get creative to convey the romance without being SO direct/blatant and overly relying on skinship to sell a romance. I do think SHL was really daring in many ways! And very romantic.

I know, it is painful waiting for Immortality and also Winner is King, I'm reading SPL right now and getting really hyped to see Chang Geng & Gu Yun onscreen.

Based on the overwhelming good reviews on the last episode, the rating should increase over the next week like…
I'm waiting for the final episodes to be released for VIPs with subs, I reckon there will be an influx of ratings this weekend. I guess most are waiting for the subs here.

Just saw this list of 22 C-bromance, mostly airing in 2022. I'm assuming these are for live series, not for donghuas.…
I haven't heard about any of these being in production yet.

Just caught up and I agree. Broke up right before the finale too. Don't think this drama needed Ryota liking Nami…
I totally agree about those cliche lines and honestly I have no idea why Nakazawa even fell for Nami, it's just happened to create some ineffectual drama when they could've gone a totally different direction with his character and not just used him to cause conflict between Nami/Jun. It's just lazy writing, plain and simple and Mamiya Shotaro definitely deserves better.

It's actually so frustrating to see him basically play a plot device (though he makes the most out of it of course). I haven't watched the spin-off yet with him and Izumi, I have no clue why they couldn't have incorporated their relationship in the show itself instead of forcing this tedious love triangle. These writers have really disappointed me with the direction they've taken the show after the initial few episodes and tbh I'm not even really looking forward to the finale....

1000% give him his lead role already!!!!!

This show has really surprised me and I think it has actually got better over the course of the season - I'm really looking forward to the finale and I like how I can't really predict 100% what's going to happen. All these characters have really grown on me!

That final scene in episode 9 between Sora and Hikaru was just so sweet it got me a little emotional. I really loved the progression of their relationship and how close they have become, it just feels really natural. & Okada Kenshi is just so charming as Hikaru!

I agree, it doesn't add anything to the show and Mamiya Shotaro is absolutely wasted in this drama considering what a good actor he is.

Starting this week, every Wed and Fri, people in China can get 3 new episodes on demand. So they can finish this…
it's super common nowadays to pay in advance for extra episodes, especially with popular shows like SHL, the platform want to make as much money as possible. i just wish on youtube they weren't so far behind the airing schedule in china.

I can't find any info that Viki invested in this drama (maybe they did), but primarily they are the overseas distributor…
cool, thanks! ^^

Boring. People say that Korea is judgemental and careful when it comes to BL dramas, but the network is Viki,…
I can't find any info that Viki invested in this drama (maybe they did), but primarily they are the overseas distributor and are streaming the show for international audiences. The webdrama is produced by W Story & Kiwi Media Group (both korean companies), not Viki. It also airs on W Story's app, which is for Korean viewers. This show isn't just made for international audiences.

Fair enough if you don't like it, but just wanted to correct some of your assumptions.

Title Beyond Evil Spoiler
I am in the middle of ep3 but i have to say. I believe that Dong Shik has cut her fingers to make it look like…
yes I think so too. Min-jeong was killed by someone else... her case is unrelated to the serial murders. LDS was trying to make it look like the exact same MO to draw attention back to the old case.
