Can't find the exact adjective to describe this dorama. I guess it's beautiful in all sense-- full of wisdom about life, about forgiveness, about moving on... about love. I like the subtlety of romance between the 2 lead characters. The cinematography is awesome, the story line is genuine, the acting is full of sincerity. At some point, I feel like I'm watching a good long movie. Really an amazing drama series close to reality.
I've seen this film a couple of years ago and I couldn't exactly remember any scene that made an impact on my soul. I just recently watched a film of Matsuyama, the lead character in this film, and I thought that his acting is quite impressive and made the movie (Usagi Drop) really awesome. Maybe I should see this film one more time.. just to see how good (or not) an actor he is.
I just find this movie a bit stupid (sorry); I mean, c'mon! A handsome guy's inability to express his admiration to a girl (for years!), it's like he has really no intention of letting the girl know how he feels :D they're both torturing themselves hehehe. Though on a good note, I like the sweet scenes and they both acted fairly well :))
Japanese boys are hotter than koreans imo, although Koreans tend to have more perfect faces. Idk what it is about…
Most korean actors/actress look the same.. I mean they hairstyle and clothes. So flushy. I used to have an impression that Japanese actors have that metro sexual look. But I dunno, in most of the dramas I've seen, they all look pretty "normal" to me. Yes, I find them much more attractive than korean actors and actresses. And more polite!
I appreciated Full house Thai version than the original one. Less "brutality" from the male character :P
I was able to watch one full series wherein Vaness Wu was the lead character... he's better with microphone and dancing :P
I first got hooked with korean series and films.. but lately I find myself searching for more and more doramas and japanese films. I swear, most of them are gems! Very impressive acting, story line, cinematography & music! Plus, I felt that it has more depth and meaningful exchange of dialogue (translated in English, of course); and with all the doramas I've seen, I must say that I was able to relate more to the characters - simple life style (clothing style, living apartment) and more realistic issues in life. At some point, I found myself nauseous over Kdramas with rich-guy- poor-girl (or vice versa) story line or male characters who are successors or owners of big corporations. Most korean rom-com-drama series have the same pattern. It's just so refreshing to watch series or movies in which viewers can totally relate to. And Jdramas usually offer that kind of stuff. Well, this is just my point of view :))
Awesome list! Thanks for sharing. I've seen In the Mood.. Tada, Kimi.. & My Rainy Days. They are all impressive films- music scoring & the right amount of romantic scenes.
happy watching :))

No. 1 on my list is A Moment to Remember
