A strong award contender this year
This series is shaping up to be a strong award contender this year. After watching Park Bo-young's heartfelt confession to her coworker in a small bar, there's a genuinely moving outburst where she admits she's been lying to herself. Bo-young delivers a perfectly balanced performance—neither overacted nor underplayed. I'm betting that she will at least secure major award nominations for Best Actress.
The story is deeply painful in nature, yet Bo-young brings a surprising sense of vitality to it. I'm also enjoying the twins as characters—they strike a nice balance, being neither too aggressive nor too passive. Their personalities feel authentically shaped by their life experiences. I imagine that, with a bit of help from others, the twins will survive by relying on their instincts and judgment.
