I like A Neng (outgoing yet considerate) and I wish we could have seen more of Shi Qi. I have to agree that the twins were painful to watch, especially the love triangle but it got better for me starting episode 6 and I also started to like Zhipeng. I hope Xiao Bai will find the one.
This season's ending was a blast. I loved their reunion and meeting the hosts. So many couples (I'm so happy for Sun Xiu), especially if that girl didn't get into the controversy. All the best y'all!
I might be least attached to the participants of this dating show compared to all other ones I've watched. Bromance and sismance is probably the weakest I've seen. I ended up skip watching the last few episodes just to finish it off. But I love how the guys mostly like one girl throughout (not that I find the girls to be at fault for trying to know a different guy since that's the purpose of the dating show).
I agree, this is an underrated dating show. It is also refreshing to see younger people. The 4 initial guys had the best bromance of all dating shows I've watched even when 2 of them were going after the same girl. Dinosaur went from leaning away and switching seats from Ah Zhou on first day to initiating skinship like touching his face at the end. Ah Zhuo and Bo Bo (Boba Taro) were off the charts. I hope their friendship lasts. I skip over most of the commentaries for dating shows cause I feel bad when analysing their every action. But Xikan is the best idol commentor; he is quite open about his relationships and romantic views. Anyways, can't wait to binge season 2 when it finishes, I hope it will also be available on Youtube with English subtitles.
My favorite is Wenjun. She is so pretty, bright and kind. She cooked, cleaned, looked after others and never complained. I personally don't think she was too expressive; I'm sure she'd meet someone that matches her. She successfully got over Yushun and found someone. I'm so proud of her. Wishing you happiness, Wenjun~ I wish they added 2 more people though, especially since Dani and Yunshan were decided pretty early in the show (they also skipped a mission of going out with someone you spent least time with, not that it would make much of a difference), but I understand the limits of not knowing what will happen in a reality show and finding people last minute. As much as it is frustrating that they can't be direct with their feelings in Heart Signal, now I understand that it gives everyone a chance. Afterall, this is meant to be a dating show, not friendship show.
This is gonna be a bit of negative review (essay ;-;). Despite this season being a bit dry for me, I still suggest people to try it, especially if you like idol survival shows. I don't hate the show; I just rewatched it for 2nd time but probably won't anymore. Changes from Idol Producer I didn't like - They didn't let half of the trainees perform for first group battle evaluation, It was the only chance for those who got eliminated in 1st ranking announcement, and some trainees in the non-performing group did very well. Unfortunate that Casper even left the show due to arguement about this. It was his last likely chance and haven't heard from him since. - Lay had more authority and felt more like a PD and less like a friend than IP. It just makes the show less fun for me but I liked how he promoted some trainees rank before the theme song MV shooting. - This season is more educational, encouraging to read and volunteer. Although intensions were good, the trainees probably need more rest and the content wasn't too fun for me. - Art advisory group was good for transparency and saving trainees who worked hard and did well to go a bit further but I don't feel it was necessary. I would have been fine even if they were anonymous but I don't know how Chinese viewers would take it. - They cut out announcing lower trainee ranks and their speeches, which I would rather watch to get to know more trainees as I didn't get to know as many trainees as IP. - Another thing is I watched on iQiyi but something seems off? I didn't see some parts like the regrouping for concept evaluation and choosing final song positions. - This is not a change but I didn't like the songs and stages as much as IP. + The show wasn't all dry, there are moments and stages I really enjoyed. Top 9 trainees are pretty likeable. Lian Huaiwei is the most entertaining; I wish I had his speaking skills. Another good news is they mostly fixed what I didn't like in the later seasons and I love YWY3.
Watched it when it finished airing but I can't seem to remember it much. Can someone please tell which ep the tables turn (princes stopped getting along with each other)? I'm really not into political and fighting stuff but I want to rewatch.
Just rewatched it again... This season has a special place in my heart and is iconic, esepcially PD Lay's balance. - The trainess interactions were fun to watch, even with Zhang PD. Justin and Cheng Cheng are happy viruses. I noticed Wang Ziyi more this time; he is so kind and his dancing is great like when they did sped up theme song dance. I really like the final lineup for Nine Percent, especially glad that You Zhangjing made it! I love a lot of the performances and song choices (ie. PPAP Group A was a pleasant surprise). On a side note, I ended up watching Wuba cuts from Monster Hunt, thanks to Zhu Xingjie and it's super cute! - I am thankful I can watch from official source, iQiyi with English sub, for mostly using the same names as they are being called rather than English ones like Little Ghost or Theo and putting the names for whoever is talking or singing. I just wish that Chinese idol survival shows' debut groups had as many group activities as Korean and Japanese ones. But well, we ain't even getting another one soon so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm sad with how the series ended, but looks like they're intending to have season 2. Otherwise, they should have at least 1 more episode. I really like the girl who played Toon (imo best female character in this & so pretty too), anyone know who's the actress? I also like how Rak treats her. It's so wholesome.
Simon is probably my favorite from all C-Heart Signal seasons so far (my K favorite is Do Gyun). He cooked for everyone a lot but I wish he took care of himself more. He seems to perhaps have eating disorder but glad to see a bit of weight gain at the very end. On a side note, I would watch a whole show with just him and Zijia haha. With everyone being non-locals of the city, they were able to make precious friendships. Finally completed thanks to the comments below on how to watch with translated English subs. Can't wait for Season 5!
Very disaapointed. As much as I appreciate the guys for being love catchers, they eliminated the obvious and only female love catcher. No wonder this season felt off, none of the relationships were genuine. Even more than that, house atmosphere is not good for like half the show cause of Haneul. It was too much, considering she was money catcher. But envious of Dana... how to be a money catcher and be sincerely loved by 2 guys (one of whom did not budge to a love catcher)?
Just wanted to encourage to give this show a try because I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the show. It is at least a solid 8.5 for me. I've watched so many Chinese romantic comedy youth dramas before, but it was still entertaining as it was written quite realistically and well acted. I also love unrequited love trope and this even made me cry for a few episodes. I wish there was 1 more episode since it ended a bit suddenly but it somehow fits the overall pace of the show. Not complaining much since the novel ending would have made me feel like why did I even watch the show. Not that I read the novel, just from what I gathered from previous comments. Anyways, I'm glad for what it is.
I wish they had a system for minimum 2 debut from each country. Even if 2 jap & 2 chi debuted, it would still be more than half kor (also most of the foreign girls have decent korean & are improving well). The way that the ranking is now, I feel like it kinda defeats the purpose of the show. Similar to how I feel about izone with 3/12 jap. I think even debuting 9 members with 3/9 jap would be better. I have nothing against the rank 10-12 girls, just talking in terms of ratio. Even twice has more foreign members than this. Nako was my fav & I felt bad for her as she can dance well and sing. She barely got parts in songs and gradually lost popularity after debuting.
My top favorites are Until We Meet Again, Sotus, Theory of Love, Love by Chance and TharnType. The last 2 are…
Yeah, if you dropped LBC & TOL, you can give Until we Meet Again, Theory of Love (angst) and 2 Moons 2 a try. I Told the Sunset About You is also the most recent well-loved one.

Xikan, Lin Mo (IP) Oscar, Boyu (C'21) Chen Junhao, Ziyu (YWY3)
