I watched the show cause of the comments on Iyul and... no regrets! I really liked him on the show and even more after watching their Youtube commentary. He was reflecting on how he was on the show. I am very impressed because I thought he did so well already but he still thinks of how he can improve on how he interacts with people. No wonder he is such a calm, thoughtful and altruistic person. Hope the best for him here on out!

It might still be in another Chinese speaking Asian country cause it should still be easy enough for her to fly over but I get what you mean about the vibe. I also prefer how the C-idol survival show runs compared to K-ones, especially YWY with longer episodes and no evil editing. But this season will be international? so the vibe will change regardless since YWY had mostly Chinese trainees, but hopefully essence of what makes it YWY will remain.

I think it's probably going to be shot in Korea since Lee Sung Kyung is youth PD and it's going to be China-Korea collaboration? Idol survival shows are probably banned to be shot in China and may also be the reason why they changed the name.

I just saw some Youtube clips of Dai and Shun. OMG, Shun is so adorable and affectionate! He must have grown a lot in almost a year (& I'm sure it's thanks to Dai too). Shun will always be my favorite! Best wishes to you both!
I believe they are still in Seoul and they have been learning Korean. They shot magazine cover of Dazed Korea, just like JunSeongho from His Man 2.

Dai and Shun have been living together since the recording ended (last October). They initially lived at Dai's parents' place for 3 months. Shun also met Dai's friends. Shun was nervous but it went well. They still fight almost everyday and fought recently about sashimi.
Dai said although Shun looks like this, he's weird on the inside but people find that amusing. Shun gets along very well with Dai's mom. They ate lunch together yesterday.

Biggest change before / after show-
Dai: I didn't want to date cause I didn't want to get hurt, so I just focused on work. But this opportunity would create a sitution where I could not run away, so I joined the show. If I had met Shun normally (outside the show), I might not have faced him head on and gave excuses like I am too busy. But in that month and a half (I was on the show), for the first time, I thought if it is this person, I wouldn't mind getting hurt, and I faced Shun head on.
Shun: I didn't communicate well before but Dai always tell me "If you don't tell me, I wouldn't know." That input from Dai is my most grateful life improvement.

Just watched the reunion video on Youtube. Way to make my day again!

I remember laughing quite a lot at the beginning cause they kept guessing wrong scenarios before siblings were disclosed.
Overall, most of the siblings dynamics' were nice to watch, especially Jaehyung and Seseung, who always got each other's back. Their parents did amazing: raising bright, loving and talented kids. Their cover of 25 21 lives in my head.
I wasn't really into any of the couples, except one but glad that my favorite Jaehyung dodged that bullet. I was heartbroken when he cried at the end. Also glad Choa dodged a bullet. Her letter at the end shows deeply she thinks. I really hope they find someone they deserve, as well as Seseung (just found out they broke up?). Seseung has troubles communicating too but Jungsub bothered me many times: he wasn't honest, tends to fault her and communicates weirdly.

Debating to watch or not... Was there at least 1 couple worth watching for?

Watched it cause of a reel of SNU boys and no regrets! Loved the team and their dynamics. They seemed the closest and were most expressive. The best part is how they forgave mistakes without blaming anyone. Hyunbin won me over at first sight.

Since Boys Planet, I adored C-Yuehua boys Zhang Hao, Ricky and Ollie. I think Ollie did well there and he was such a sweet ray of sunshine (ie. being Zhang Hao's no.1 supporter). He is main reason why I watched this show. He continued to grow here, both in height and skills. His every single stage impressed me, and he is still as sweet as ever. Maknae Ollie, congrats on no. 1! So proud of you!
I didn't vote because I didn't watch extended version of the show so I only end up remembering a few trainees compared to other idol survival shows and felt it would be unfair. Hopefully extended version will become free to watch later.

OMG, Dogyun appeared briefly as doctor in My Demon ep 10 and I recognised him right away! He gained a bit of weight but I guess he's doing well.

@Nadin I currently don't follow any of their socials (Dogyun closed his Youtube years ago). A few may still be using Instagram accounts they had during the show. You can probably find them in comments far below or google search.

I enjoyed the drama and would recommend giving first few episodes a try. If you liked them, you will probably enjoy the rest. One of the few dramas I found that pacing is good. plot is deep enough, and characters had personalities (FL is not damsel in distress). The story is overall on lighthearted side, not a heavy politics one, which was perfect for me.

I almost didn't watch it thinking it's too long but realised it's about the same length as last season and I didn't find it long. I usually skip most of the panelist comments anyways. I probably watched the most this season cause I know some of the panelists.
I really like this season! 601 silly boys friendship! They got along so well and have each other's back (although sometimes not helpful at all lol)! I like how Zengzeng makes people feel comfortable (his smile, how he didn't compete with Hou-ge and how he didn't pressure Lucky and gave her space). My favorite is Hou-ge. I just like his personality and looks overall. MVP is definitely Yang-jie. I wish I could have half the courage she had and she is so pretty! I like C-dating shows. My favorites usually end up together. They moved me to tears and gave me butterflies in my stomach. Wish you guys a happy long relationship!

They are from Yuehua. Zhu Zhenting first survival show was Produce 101 S2 and then they both were on Idol Producer. Zhenting debuted in final group Nine Percent. Then they debuted in a group together called NEX7.

My favorite is Sungho from beginning till the end. I had a good first impression that he seemed like a kind sunshine that gets along with everyone and he was just that. As the show went on. I just liked him more: the way he made decisions, expresses and cares about everyone. He felt bad saying that he liked Seonwoo to Junseong when he didn't know JS like him, for JS waiting for him and for feeling like he's comparing them. I just hoped that he would be happy at the end even if he didn't end up with anyone, but really glad it worked out for him. Thank you for being on the show and wishing you and JS lots of happiness!
I just saw the message on cake Seonwoo made for 100 days anniversary and cried. It said "SeongSeong couple, go for 100 years". Their friendship is precious. Going to miss seeing you guys every week ;-;

I guess I'm the weird one. I actually enjoyed both this and End of the World with You. They were not flawless but I thought they had proper story to tell (the latter was even unique) and were well-acted compared to some Korean BL series with similar or better ratings where the acting and/or script writing just went out the window.

I teared up at the last scene; this couple is just way too cute and matches so well! Totally worth watching just for them! Thank you both for taking part in the show and all the best!

If you haven't watched Idol Producer and Youth with You Season 3, I would highly recommend them.

For anyone wanting to watch another boy group idol survival show (besides PD101 S2 & PDX101), I highly reccomend Chinese shows. I rewatch every year; trainees are likeable, mentors & PD are helpful and no evil editing. Trainees get more opportunities; other than the ranked evaluations, they get to perform with the mentors. The final lineup is very satisfying.

Youth with You Season 3 (Blackpink Lisa is online dance mentor due to covid restrictions. Each ep is 3 hours long so you really get to know the trainees. It maybe hard to get through 1st level evaluation episodes but please give 2 more episodes a try after that. The finale for the show was cancelled but final group debuted.)
