Hmm if you ask what his biggest desire is, the only thing that came to my mind is: to live. Deep inside he wants to live on, and the monster side of him is keeping him alive. In a way, him not being a full-on-monster is his mutation (at least thats how I explained it to myself idk :> just a theory) The hand thing hmm I'm not sure..it did reminded me of a feathered wing of some sort but I really like your way of thinking with the held out hand!
I'm in half of episode 4 but please please please, can somebody tell me if that whiny rude old man is gonna be there for the whole show? I can't stand him it's like my head hurts everytime he's on screen and I don't think I can listen to him any more aaargh
