Then dont read it. Some people ask and people answer, there is marked as spoiler some also enjoy spoiler Some also enjoy comparison from novel and some want to know about the book
dont read if you want to enjoy on your own rather than cussing here.
Its like youre butting into someones conversation and telling them to shut up when you have no business going there in the first place
Book spoiler Jiang li step mom is forced to drink poison as her execution Jiang Rouyao gets captured and tortured by the princess, poor girl, she jist happened to run into her. Actually Meng Li book injures princess and princess brings her to the dungeon to see what happens to those who offend her The cousin becomes concubine but gets shunned because the fiance hates her
The Jiang family in the book is ruthless not comedic Well she doesnt know the truth because in the novel she knew all people in the Jiang residence are her enemies from the start
episode 3 now,I'll be honest, the FL looks really matured for the age of the character she's supposed to be playing.…
Yeah, the actress may be good but she looks mature. I mean comapre it to the rebel princess still same, look mature for the role theyre playing. I mean its obvious that Jiangli and Xue Fanfei, you can see she doesnt look her age
I believe Duke Su fell in love with XFF when he first saw her as Shen Yurong’s wife. He probably admired her…
Thats why I cant get into the romance, in the book theyre wary of each other. Theyre neither enemies nor comrades but the intrigue and mystery is there. There little interactions leave Duke Su either amused, intrigued or curious.
Like in the book when Jian Li was cornered by assassins, I love that scene.
Duke Su was : why should I save you. He is literally there. Their tension even had the assassins felt tense. Like at that point she somehow pulled her in her play and he steppped in half heartedly. She wagered her life, and told him her life is up to him so in a way she told him she wont be careless but at the same time she implied that since her life is in his hands now, its also his responsibility to make sure anyone wont take it.
Those little smirks when he says those things, he slowly likes her and she becomes bolder as well and confident.
I get that people like the chemistry and romance but as someone who is reading the novel, I find it too fast pace and somewhat less appealing. Duke Su in the novel is musteripus and dangerous, calculating, he is still lile that here but he isnt the type to go be simping attracted to Jiang Li.
He is the type to have no second thoughts killing her if she gets in his way. For him Jiang Li is an actor in the play he watches, and he is intrigued by her but doesnt go out helping her behind the shadows.
In the novel, Jiangli catches him conversing with someone in the palace and the intel she gained, she used it as ace card when she was about to get killed and she wagered her life and made him a part of her play.

So honestly, the romance for me is not kicking in
