Kudos to the writer for the superb character building. Seung Wan's arc was beautifully written. Along with Yeji who's not exactly part of the main characters and yet her story was equally important. I'm really amazed at the quality of Korean dramas. These screenwriters are so good at weaving a story that really creates an impact on people's lives. I've been watching Kdramas for more than a decade now and they just keep on getting better and better.
Anw, episode 12 taught me that "Quitting takes a lot of courage; Quitting is not giving up but taking a new chance."
About Hee Do's mom, I genuinely got the impression that for the funeral, she chose to do the news flash moreso…
That's a good take! I guess that could also be her coping mechanism. Thanks! I realized just now that I wasn't too understanding of Hee Do's mom. Humans are so complex.

Am I the only one who wants Seung Wan and Woong to end up together?lol
I'm actually rooting for their platonic friendship! I initially thought Seung Wan would have a secret crush on Woong but nah, I think they're just plain friends and that was incredibly refreshing.
Episode 11 Rants · I love how they cover the experiences of both athletes and regular students. Both are struggling equally. I used to think that student-athletes had the easiest end of the stick. But they also have moments when they wanted to run away. · There's a lot of foreshadowing about remembering moments together. And in the previous episode, present Hee Do can't seem to remember the precious outing. I wonder if there's some sort of amnesia/dementia going on. · The stationary store scene was so freakin hilarious. I was clutching my stomach when they showed Yi Jin using that girly pink pencil case. Comedy peak without even trying. · When your career becomes your whole character, you'll eventually lose the people you love. I know some jobs could be really demanding, however it all boils down to what you truly prioritize. Hee Do's mom choosing to report flash news over being there with her 13-year-old daughter in a very crucial moment is for me inexcusable. Behind the professionalism of Hee Do's mom were Hee Do's heartaches. Add that to her not communicating with her daughter properly, it's inevitable that her daughter would not understand her. But of course, we are all flawed humans. I'm just glad she eventually was able to take off her cool image and be vulnerable. · Baek Yi Jin's line: "I don't think not living your dream means you've failed in life. And I don't think that living your dream means you've succeeded either. I simply want to do well at my job right now." That was such a powerful and honest line. Sometimes, we just have to give our best shot in whatever season we are in currently. That's more important than dwelling on failure or success. · Yi Jin head-bopping Hee Do was so cute aaahhhckk my heart
Thanking the drama gods! I was so relieved when KTM didn't go to that blind date. I hate it when characters purposefully make the other jealous. I swear, in another dramaverse, that misunderstanding would have dragged for another episode which consists of the ML and YS's cousin going on dates, getting on the news, and the FL getting mopey with the SML.
I still shake my head every time Hari lies. I don't think it was necessary to lie about KTM's identity. Oh well, I guess she just want to avoid the nagging.
Also, can we talk about how red Hyo Seop's ears during the kiss scene??? Loool it must have been so cold
Can we talk about how the females in this drama initiate and/or reciprocate kisses? I know the premise itself sounds like a drama from 2015 but yo I'm just happy they don't look like deers caught in the headlights when the scene happens. Insert war flashbacks of The Heirs (and every PSH kdrama)
Oh wow glad they didn't drag the misunderstanding between the second leads!!! Good job drama. Also, I love how it was Shin Hari who initiated the kiss. She caught feelings already but is still hesitant which is understandable. I guess, the two couples will be officially dating in the next episodes. If this was a 16-episode drama I bet they'll be so much unnecessary misunderstandings and fillers to drag it out
Ah, the present always spoils whatever good vibe I've had from the past...it's so weird that she forgot the beach trip when she was so happy about it. Present Hee do is so different and jaded, I can't help but think that something traumatic must have happened. I have no theories, I just want a meaningful, happy ending.
It’s a nasty mind that sees something ugly in HD & YJ's relationship. Love is NOT equal to sex. There isn’t…
I never saw Yi Jin as predatory. Even when he confessed his love, it wasn't to pressure Hee Do but just plain, expression of what he's feeling. Even the looks his giving her is wholesome as heck. I was bothered at the ages before but nah, Yi Jin is a good man.
