Started out good but I'm dropping it at EP 19. I literally just waited for them to be together lol I feel no connection with the side characters either.
interestingly i do think the both of them are teetering on the cusp of deciphering what their feelings towards…
Absolutely! Plus, I think romance should be the least of their priorities now. That's why I'm excited about the time leap. I wonder if they'll be apart again and reunite when they're 25 and 21.
I'm gonna stop giving a damn about the present and focus on Yi Jin and Hee Do's blossoming relationship and character growth. Sincerely rooting for the both of them.
reading this I realised I misinterpreted that photo album scene. Ahhh I have so many questions!! I will be disappointed…
Same here! I'm still feeling optimistic. Maybe the writer is purposefully misleading us. Regardless whether they end up together or not, I only wish that they don't kill any character.
Kim Min Chae: Ah, so that's Baek Yi Jin? Hee Do's mom: Do you know Baek Yi Jin? (Min Chae averts her eyes and shakes her head "No, I don't know him" Then she changes the topic and walks out like she almost got caught or something)
Okay, by that scene, BYJ is not the father nor he is still close to Hee Do. coz why else that the daughter doesn't know him. Her reaction's sus though. Maybe she knows BYJ only because of her mom's diary? or is it something else?
Hee Do: (smiles longingly at the group pic) He was only 22 back then Hee Do's mom: I met him last month. (Hee Do's smile drops, surprised, she looks at her mom) Hee Do's mom: I can't believe how much time has passed
It's either BYJ passed away or he and Hee Do kind of just drifted apart. If that's the case, judging from Hee Do's expression, they mostly separated on good terms. Question is, who is the father?????? Also, anyone caught on BYJ's brother's remark: "then I can look after your kid later" IS THAT FORESHADOWING? HAHAHHA I should be sleeping now
"Because you give me hope. And I want more for you "
"I think that explains why I miss you when I'm mentally weak"
Having a support system really helps. Being with people who inspire you does strengthen your soul. The writer did an excellent job of weaving a beautiful "platonic" relationship between our leads. Not much skinship, just plain heart fluttering conversations. I was all smiles when Baek Yi Jin tried on the fencing gear and had a "spar" with Hee Do. When we like someone, we become curious about what they're passionate about. We want to dip ourselves into their world. The blackout and the green light in the background was so beautiful. I was like "that's it if these two don't have a happy ending, Ima flip tables"
I used to not be bothered with the theories on the present time but now, I could understand why people are fretting.
This is my first time watching Kim Tae Ri and I'm blown away with how natural her acting is. I swear I'd totally befriend Na Hee Do's character irl. She's just soooo loveable. She makes me want to relive my idealistic, ever enthuasiastic self.
Nam Joo Hyuk's acting is also at par. Him and Tae Ri sure does have a chemistry. I can't wait for the time leapt so that I can fully ship them together.
I'm pretty much anticipating the sismance. Thank God, I think it's safe to say that there's no love triangle between them in YiJin.
Since FL is 18 and ML is in his 20s I'm going to interpret all of their endearing scenes as purely platonic friendship. Love the support that they give to each other. Hee Do giving Yi Jin a breather and Yi Jin giving Hee Do life advice. I don't think there's a love triangle in this one as I could see Yurim amused over the dude in their class. Yurim's relationship with Yi Jin's more like a brotherly type. I wonder what episode would the time leapt occur.
P.S. Yi Jin as an engineering student at Yonsei, and him playing in a band...now that's me falling in love with yet another fictional character
Ohhh I didn't know about that part of the synopsis. I honestly thought that the time leap will occur this episode, but then it was only 6 months haha
Anyway that would be a lot of drifting and reuniting coz in the present they were apart as well hmmm
