yes, li jie's ending is the saddest... after talking with dieyao yuan wuhuo for the last time, he realized that…
Ah, you’re right. So much was happening that I feel like I missed that part, and now I’m sad for him all over again.

I agree with you, but here another way to look at itAt the end of 27, he seems happier because he has come to…
Yes—since Wuyi never existed in that timeline, I think no one is there to save Li Ling when they attempt suicide, and he end up dying. As a result, He never get to meet Li Jie. That’s why the ending of the series feels quite sad to me: the friendship they shared for so long simply evaporates, as if it had never existed at all.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
Li Jie said in episode 27 that he had understood who he was. Yet by the end, we saw him questioning his identity and the meaning of his existence once again. I wonder what he ultimately discovered—was it protecting Ji Ling, staying by their side, or something else entirely? This uncertainty lingered in my mind, and it saddened me that he seemed to continue his life carrying that same question mark, with a sense of emptiness within him.

A lot of them did pass censorship, but then China decided to ban all material taken from gay novels even when…
Then how was Justice in the Dark released? As far as I know, it was also a Chinese production, yet the episodes that weren’t released in China were distributed by a Japanese company. Of course, the difference there was that it got banned only after a few episodes had already aired.

At the end of the day, like another friend mentioned above, it feels like things are getting more complicated mainly because there are very famous actors in the cast. I just hope we’ll somehow be able to watch Eternal Faith and Immortality too.:(

Why does Lu Zen address Shu Lang as ‘uncle’? Is there an issue with the translation, or is it a China-specific honorific, like ‘gege’?”

There was a series which someone had a mark like that on their arm, and the leaves on it kept falling off one by one. I think they would die if all the leaves disappeared. But I can’t remember what the show was. Anyone remember?

Does this show count as a wuxia series? It doesn’t say so in the description, but when I started watching it, I thought it was wuxia. Or maybe I still don’t really understand what the wuxia genre is?

During the wedding, I tried to find the song Sasin had played with his friends, but I couldn’t. I got curious about the lyrics because Pin said ‘He is singing this song to mock me for getting in your way,
isn’t he’. I couldn’t find a translation either. if anyone knows it, could you share it?

I get what you're saying, but since we're talking about reincarnation, you can't really expect a soul to come…
I totally get what you’re saying , especially in so many BL stories we’ve heard the classic “I’m not gay, I just love you” line. And when the whole story is about two men falling in love, that can feel a bit uncomfortable, because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being gay.
Thankfully, in recent years we’ve started seeing more stories that move away from those outdated clichés. At first, I understand the need to explore identity and confusion—it can even help a lot of people in their own journey of self-discovery. But personally, I’m kind of over the whole “I’m not gay” denial trope. It’s just become tiring.
But for this show I don’t think is going in that direction. So far, it’s been really well done and feels genuinely thoughtful.

So, Khem and Peem were lovers in their past lives and Khem was a woman in that life? I hope those are different…
I get what you're saying, but since we're talking about reincarnation, you can't really expect a soul to come back in the same gender every time. The real question here is whether they love the person because they fell for her when she was a woman, or if it's the soul they’re truly in love with.
Even though I'm not sure how they'll handle it, I have a feeling it’s less about being in a same-sex relationship and more about the idea of a soulmate—like a connection beyond gender. That kind of leans toward a pansexual perspective in a way. But in this particular lifetime, I think they’re just gay.

Title Pit Babe Season 2 Spoiler
To be honest, even though a lot has happened over the last two episodes, I’m starting to feel a bit bored. Also, while I usually don’t get too hung up on plot holes, I still can’t wrap my head around how Willy, who can literally stop time, ends up getting beaten up by Babe. At the beginning of the episode, he’s the one who stops time and kidnaps Charlie — and then suddenly he’s portrayed like he’s powerless? It just doesn’t add up.

Another thing that bothers me is how weak Charlie is being portrayed. It feels like the show is pushing him into a side character role just to make Babe stand out as the main lead. He’s barely had any proper screen time for two whole episodes, which is frustrating — especially for those of us who’ve read the novel and know how strong and proactive Charlie actually is.There could’ve been a great dynamic if both of them had been shown as powerful in their own ways.

ok so, so where do I even begin? nobody here has working brain cells, except maybe Kenta, who is suspicious of…
I don’t think Charlie’s power transfer thing was ever clearly explained. I’m not sure if he took the power on purpose or by accident — maybe someone who read the novel could explain it better. I just assumed he did it to protect Babe, since Tony was after his powers. But yeah, this episode confused me too. He said he didn’t really know how his powers worked, so maybe he was just taking a chance? Like, he wasn’t sure it would work, but tried anyway?

I keep coming back to this page because I miss this exact balance. Wondering how long itll be before we get another…
The female lead doesn't intentionally cause anyone’s death (perhaps you’re referring to the elderly couple?) but unlike the male lead, she wasn’t one to make compromises easily. She was clever, even cunning, and driven by a desire to maintain the upper hand in the relationship’s power dynamic. Though I usually admire strong and dominant female characters, she didn’t quite become a favorite of mine. Still, I appreciated the chemistry between the two lead, they made a compelling couple.

Then I will watch Secret of the Shadow Sect. I’ve just finished Wonderland of Love, and I can say I genuinely liked it. In terms of romance, it was quite satisfying. I did struggle a bit to warm up to the female lead at first, but I gave it a chance and didn’t regret it. You might want to give it a try as well.

Same here. I'm watching The Prisoner of Beauty too. While I really enjoy historical dramas, I often struggle to feel the physical chemistry between the leads when their romance is portrayed. There have been a few series where I could genuinely sense that kind of attraction. It doesn't necessarily have to involve intimate scenes, but I do want to feel that essence of physical connection that adds depth to the romance.

I just finished the series and truly enjoyed it. It struck a perfect balance between romance and politics, offering a depth that many long dramas often lack. If you know of any other shows like this, I’d really appreciate your recommendations.
