A for effort
I was very excited to watch this season,so much so that i finished this in one sitting. Doing so,i developed a lot of opinions about the show,so i have a lot to say about many things.
Acting: Brilliant performances by each and every actor,Park Jihoon has always been my favourite but Bae Nara swooshed me away with his acting,he was stoic most of the time, but he still portrayed so much. Acting Wise this deserves more than 10 stars.
Plot:The Plot itself had a lot of potential, and for a significant part it reached the standards the first season had set, however that was not always the case. I'd say mostly it was the pace of storytelling which became an obstacle but it could've been much better.
Pacing: Fast paced, but it was not always a plus point for the show. because of how fast the story was progressing,at times it felt like there was no space for us to connect each thing to what's happening in the story. It was very obvious something happened between Baekjin and Humin, but that end was never really tied. Why was the whole school afraid of Humin? No answer. These questions should've been answered in the show.
I was pleasantly surprised with Beomseok's appearance,it was a good decision to show him as the subconcious or Guilt of Sieun pulling him back to sleep.
But i believe this Season didn't explore the feelings of the characters as good as the first season did. Juntae was honestly a lost opportunity on this. I found him and Sieun of 1st season to be very similar, and that angle could've been explored more.
Suho waking up from the coma was a good thing to watch too, there should've been a few more minutes of him and Sieun.
Seongjae was a complete psychopath ngl,but i liked his character,i knew he was upto no good when he suddenly decide to help sieun,so it was a good decision to have a character so unpredictable. however i didn't like how he just disappeared in the middle, the promotion of the show made it feel like he was much more of an important character than he played here, but i guess he will be the main antagonist of season 3 if there ever is one.
In conclusion,i liked the show, I'd even say it was worth the wait. but it didn't quite reach the standards i had in mind for the sequel of a show this great.
