I really liked the first episode, but am quite displeased by the direction it's taking in ep2. I don't like the grim reaper's character, and the gross humor is definitely not for me. I think I'll skip this one.
Jung Hye your stubbornness is putting you all in danger. The main cast is now working beautifully together, you need to get on board instead of trying to do everything on your own.
Ep, 43 Finally Jang Pan Soo recognises Dol Mok's/ Kim Soo Yeon's Mom :)What a bittersweet scene when he kneels…
I'm so glad they're on good terms. I was afraid she might resent him for his role in her family's tragic fate, but it's not the case at all and I love how happy she is for her son to have been raised by such a loving man. I'm getting serious family feels there. I hope she and Joon Hee will get a chance to interact as well.
Questions though: 1. How come Dol Mok didn't recognise Min Jae at Hwa Young's house (Ep. 7)? He is now…
So I recently rewatched those episodes and...
- As late teens, So Joo and Dol Mok were only able to recognize each other because they heard their names first.
- At Hwa Young's house, Dol Mok's attention is all on Hwa Young, and he only briefly looks at Joon Hee. Plus, it's dark. So it doesn't surprise me that he didn't immediately recognize him.
- Was So Joo friends really with Min Jae? She was friends with Dol Mok, but it doesn't seem she knew Min Jae well aside from when he saved them from the hole.
As adults, they don't immediately recognize him, because it's been a long time by then (and he's an adult now), and Pan Soo only briefly runs into him at first. He catches on pretty quickly when they actually talk face to face.
Meanwhile, I think one of the reasons that prevented Dol Mok from recognizing him was his own bias. He treated Joon Hee like a rival, and so unconsciously probably didn't want to associate his brother with a guy he disliked.
Ep.36 Why don't they bring poor So Joo into it? Yes, it can be for her protection, but she's smart and…
I agree wholeheartedly. At this point they should have realized just how bad secrets are. Keeping So Joo in the dark doesn't serve them at this point. She could be a strong ally, but they're leaving her to act on her own again. So disappointing.
Dol Mok's mom is really awesome. I can't wait to see her reunited with him!
I don't know what to think about Il Kwon. His death seemed so sudden after Dol Mok's visit that I thought they'd just plotted to fake it. But then Dol Mok seems to think he's really dead... So I don't know...
I'm amazed Jang Pan Soo is still alive. I thought this would be the episode where he dies XD I really hopes it stays that way and they all get a happy ending.
Ep. 34 was so sweet but heartbreaking at the end..
She's far from stupid. In fact, she's pretty smart, being able to figure it out despite how far he went to hide it. Also it's not her fault he got shot. If you want to blame someone, blame that trigger happy jerk, not her. She did her best to defend him given the situation.
I absolutely love it. And it's one of those dramas where a second watch is as fun as the first one because knowing everything shines a whole new light on a lot of details and character interactions.
idk what Dol Mok's mom is up to, but she's really cool and seems more competent at secrecy than most of the cast. I'm rooting for her!
Also it's really hilarious how all the Hong family thinks about is the inheritance. The guy isn't even completely dead yet! That family is such a mess...
