I don't think it's been subbed yet- it should be up within the next few days :))
I have already watched yesterday. Now I will have to wait for the special to come out.

Been meaning to watch this but now I can't. I can't watch anything with Mirua now :''-(
Yeah, another life lost. He was only 4 years older than me. I suffer from depression too, mainly caused by hormonal problems, and it is not easy. You want to be happy and keep seeing things in a positive light, but it is a fight against yourself and those are the hardest kind of fights.

Title Mare
I was not going to watch it because of the huge amount of episodes...but then realized each episode is only 15 minutes long. So it is the same as a Korean family drama being 39 episodes long. I have watched dramas with a lot more episodes than that. It is kind of annoying to change episodes every 15 minutes, but oh well. I guess I will give this a try. There is something about it that caught my attention.

Title Was It Love?
I agree. The writers really wrote a pathetic ending.
For sure. Probably one of the most pathetic endings I have seen, especially if you are the father and only get to watch like any bystander.

Ok, let me help you here. I am sure you dont like wasting your time, neither do I. I watched this while skipping…
The first 20 episodes or so the main leads barely have any contact with each other with entire episodes with them not even being on screen at the same time. Then they start to be around each other because the writers conveniently got rid of a character to make them babysit the kid and spend time together...except there is still no romance at this point.

Between ep 20 and 30 the female lead starts to show some romantic interest in the male lead, but he does not seem to see her that way at all. Somewhere along the way he supposedly also falls for her but that was done in such a bland and not convincing way that I did not notice.

Fast-forward to ep 43, yeah you read that right, only 1 episode before the last one, they kind of get together. Episode 44 ends in the most bland and boring way I have ever seen. Like the writers were lazy to write a proper ending.

Also, if you are wondering, there are no kisses. After the main leads get together they hug once or twice and have conversations just like when they were friends. There is 0 chemistry between them and if no one told me, I would not guess they were a couple.

If you are ok with this and still want to watch, then go ahead.

I liked that the female lead was a police woman and knew how to defend herself and help others. She was very kind but not the blind dumb type of kind. Unfortunately, other than that, there was not much more that I liked.

Ok, let me help you here. I am sure you dont like wasting your time, neither do I. I watched this while skipping A LOT and still felt it was a waste of time. Everyone knows Chinese dramas tend to get draggy near the middle/end. But this one started dragging from the beginning and kept the snail pace until the end. Also there is virtually no romance between the leads for 98% of the drama, dont believe me? Read the spoiler below.

Ah, by the time this finishes airing I will already be 27 years old. 2021 surely could not be worse than 2020...right?

I am wondering where the love part in the title came from?? Was it a bad translation or a mistake when naming the drama?

The drama is called 사당보다 먼 의정부보다 가까운.
사당 means shrine, not love. The word for love is 사랑. So here I am wondering if they mistakenly added a ㄷinstead of a ㄹ or if the problem was with the translation.

They meet briefly. Soon after he gets a divorce and the child stays with the mother. He also loses his job and…
Oh so they meet when he is already married. I thought they might have met even before he got married and had a kid and then later after he gets divorced. Since you say brief encounter and he got divorced soon after, I am ok with it. I dont like when dramas try to create romance between people when 1 or both of them are still married or in a relationship with someone else.

Female lead marries the older brother, he gets into some sort of accident and everyone thinks he is dead or something,…
Yeah. That is also a possibility, which is why I said it might be 1 of the brothers that leaves instead of her. I doubt it will be the older brother because he is way too selfish. So it will be either her or ji soo’s character.

I dont know why some peoples dont like the ending.. believe me there are other dramas with more hateful endings…
I have only watched 5 episodes of Dance of the Phoenix so far but from what I heard, I doubt this one can have a worse ending.

That would be the cherry on top of a really messy cake. LOL

Title Consummation Spoiler
If I remember correctly there is only 1 but I cannot tell you when or it would be a huge spoiler.
I guess you already finished it. I knew it was in the last episode but if I said when it was I would be giving away a major plot point - that the female lead is still alive 10 years later. XD

Also a possibility, just to make things even more dramatic.

Can someone give me a short description of the story? Is he divorced and with a kid? Do they meet years prior and then again after he divorces or do they meet for the first time in the timeline most of the story happens?

I dont mind spoilers since I am not even sure if I will watch it or not.

I have not watched episode 4 yet but from the preview at the end of episode 3 and some spoilers I read, let me…
Female lead marries the older brother, he gets into some sort of accident and everyone thinks he is dead or something, but of course the second female lead is aware of this, he wakes up and has amnesia and she pretends they are a thing.

Meanwhile the female lead is consoled by the younger brother and they find comfort in each other and finally she ends up reciprocating his feelings. The older brother gets into another accident, hits his head OR sees a familiar scene and suddenly gets his memory back. He then tries to get back to his wife but by now she loves the younger brother. Still, she is conflicted about who to choose and in the end decides it is better for everyone else if she leaves....or 1 of the 2 brothers does. Anyway, someone will play the selfless act and "sacrifice" for "everyone’s sake".

The older brother, suddenly, in a moment of selflessness, that does not match his character at all, gives up and tells his brother to go after the female lead. After years apart, the younger brother finds the female lead in some foreign country or rural place in South Korea and they get back together. THE END

P.S. - I really hope I am completely off and this is not what will happen. And I am sorry if I ruined it for you, but I have been watching dramas for a decade and I have a gut feeling it is going towards that direction.
