Jdrama has a very different style from cdrama and kdrama. I have only liked a few of the ones I have watched and…
I have Dazzling on my plan to watch list but have not found time to start it yet but I will share some of the dramas I liked (gave a quick look to my completed list):
- Koe Koi
- In House Marriage Honey
- Hey Sensei, Don't You Know?

And here are some movies I liked too:
- Closest Love to Heaven
- The 8-Year Engagement
- One Liter of Tears (get some tissues ready, based on a real story)

I realised most of the romance dramas I liked are kind of "old". A lot of them are from over 10 years ago. For more recent ones I have mostly liked horror and thrillers. If you do not mind older dramas or other genres I can share some of them too.

Title Night Has Come Spoiler
After watching this series I said to myself that I could've just watch the first ep and jumped straight to the…
Yeah, I think that is why so many people are disappointed with the ending and I totally understand them. If this was a regular drama I might have been too, but it is a horror drama and horror is known for "bad" endings.

I was not bored through the whole thing and that for me is already a win in this genre.

This is my first Japanese drama. but :) Very disappointed idk why, maybe I like kdrama and cdrama more than JP.…
Jdrama has a very different style from cdrama and kdrama. I have only liked a few of the ones I have watched and I can safely say this one is below average so not the best pick for your first jdrama. If there is a specific genre or kind of plot you like let me know and I might be able to recommend you a better one.

There is a reason why the rating is on the lower side. There is nothing redeemable about this one. The plot is nothing new or original but there are clichés that are still fun to watch, not this one, this was just boring. The acting, the character writing, everything was below average.

Not the worst I have watched but with so many better dramas out there this one is just not worth watching.

Title A Splendid Match Spoiler
I have to rant about how the last scene is them just walking out of the house… that’s it? nothing to tie in…
Idk if you have watched the extra episode but at least we get to see more of the ML's feelings and thoughts and what he says at the end kind of explains why the writers made the decision to end the drama like that.

With that said, I also wish we had gotten a peek of their future life, maybe a baby.

Who has the affair?
Glad they helped. There are a lot of good dramas waiting for you for you to waste your time watching this one.

Title Eight Hundred Spoiler
Chen Hui, is there no one to comfort you? All you do is comfort others when you are the one who is at the lowest…
If we had to sum up Chen Hong Bin's character, we would say he is a "good" Police Officer...but that is not even fully true since he arrested people without clear evidence, mostly based on a gut feeling.

It was well-written and realistic and had some great acting, specially by Xu Kai, but that ending was a hard pill to swallow.

Things are not always black or white and when something falls into a gray zone, even when you are doing what is right the end result might not be the best one. Chen Hong Bin ultimately had to choose between being a good father/husband and being a good Police Officer. Tbh I think he was neither.

Oh well, I am not even sure what to watch after this one.

Not bad. A bit frustrating to watch due to the plot but it was better than the average lakorn. If anything I found the forced marriage completely unnecessary. It just brought unneeded drama and I would rather have watched more of the main leads as a couple instead.

I do feel like they could have fleshed out their relationship a bit better. They went from strangers to crazy in love (mostly the male lead) a bit too fast.

Sadly, this was not my cup of tea.

Too many main characters and subplots, the leads felt bland, seeing them on screen was rarely exciting. There was little chemistry between them, they looked more like friends, which in part might be because Allen Ren is married and they tried to keep the romantic scenes tamed but I have seen Allen Ren in other dramas and he had more chemistry with other actresses. His character here was also one of the least interesting ones I have watched him play.

I really do not know how to explain but although I went in thinking this would be my cup of tea and although I liked some episodes and subplots, I mostly found myself bored and wanting to skip scenes. I usually lose interest in dramas when they split screentime between a lot of characters or add a lot of subplots, which they did here. The main leads spent entire episodes without even interacting with each other and in some episodes they were not even the main leads, other characters were the focus.

To sum it up, I am not saying this is a bad drama, just that it was not for me.

Mango is associated with platforms involved in drug and sexual assault parties, where they select actors and actresses…
Aside from the possibility of this being true, I have always hated Mango for the auto-translated subs when they could hire human translators. That alone already says a lot about the company.

Since there are no comments yet I will be the first to say something about it.

It is a low budget short drama that gives you a dated feeling, like it was filmed 10 years ago. The plot is meh and so is the acting.

I guess if you have nothing else to watch...go ahead. But if you have other things on your list you can safely skip this one.

I really liked this one back in 2017, even watched it twice that same year, but now re-watching it almost 10 years later (2026), I cannot ignore stuff that I was a bit too forgiving of back then.

If we start backwards, the ending is just underwhelming, I kinda remember it feeling that way back then too but since I liked the drama so much I kind of brushed it over as "at least..."

I hate how they made Ma Rin so dumb, I mean, I get the always being drunk because of her childhood and Korean drinking culture, but she does stuff like crossing (running into) the street without looking....she is an adult, even little kids know not to do that. She also tries to change stuff with the little info (and honestly, intelligence) she has and ends up making things worse.

Also, I know they had to drag the plot to reach 16 episodes, but so many things could have been solved if they just COMMUNICATED. The ML has everything going for him, he KNOWS the future, yet because he does not share anything with anyone, what he does by himself makes little difference in changing the future because people around him, out of lack of information, will still act the same way he originally saw them acting.

Maybe I should stop re-watching dramas I really liked 10-15 years ago, the flaws that I ignored back then are now too much for me to ignore. ^^'

Hard to start this without thinking of Rise of Ning, specially with this pairing...that is unless you never watched RN, then you can go in without any bias.

it is on kisskh, it's under the title 'Replica: Revenge of the Ex-Wife'EDIT: it's not subbed tho, unfortunately.…
I do go directly to fansubs when possible, I was part of one when I was in highschool but I no longer use twitter, now X and rarely go on Discord so out of convenience I end up watching dramas wherever I can find them easily and kisskh is one of those places. For jdramas particularly, I usually watch on fansub sites.

Title Just to Meet You Spoiler
Dumb ending I would say.
The leads do not end together, the FL becomes a nun instead, yeah, that level of dumb.

I cannot believe I wasted my precious time and hours of sleep watching this. Do they think just because they casted Fang Jin and added a bunch of steamy scenes that that is enough to make it a good short drama?

It was one of the worst short dramas I have watched. The plot felt off the entire time and the ending was ridiculous. Do not waste your time, you can safely skip this one.

I’m on episode 8 and I’m bored. I wanted to enjoy this one as I like Allen Ren but I find myself wanting to…
Yeah, I have liked most Allen Ren dramas even tho a lot of them have a tragic or open ending but this one has not been my cup of tea. I like dramas with less characters that have a backstory compared to dramas full of supporting characters that we know little about.
