That was an absolute masterpiece for me. Nothing is perfect of couse, but if they made more such deep, cinematic, interesting series... I'd have more things to watch definitely. The ending had a feeling of "not enough being said, not enough being shown" but with these kind of stories any ending wouldn't be enough. Too much sick things happened for people to just go live their ordinary lives, it feels so surreal. Poor Keisuke. He was unlucky to be born to this sick family, tried to break the curse, to ease the suffering, and in the end will probably serve a long sentence in jail for that. I only hope Agawa helped to shorten his jail time. He was a victim himself after all.
Y'all that priest is nuts. I was surprised his nephew and Daigo weren't as angry as I thought they would be. Of…
He was so madly in love with her that he didn't see the big picture... And at that moment he also didn't know how badly things will escalate. His blind obsession made him obey her completely so she doesn't leave him again. I think he still believed she's in the right and her revenge is something good and just
I think she wanted to be the head of the Goto family as a part of her revenge and desire to destroy everyone.…
I'm very curious if anyone from the original gotos survived and passed the bloodline. And whose direct ancestor is the white-haired leader of cannibals? Would be funny if it turned out that Daigo is an original Goto xD
Gin is a totally messed up creation of her harassers supported by her innate violent tendencies. I understand her urge to get back at all of them, but she had no empathy towards those poor tormented women, also those who were part of the family after. No empathy towards actually anyone. She didn't have any feelings towards priest or even her own child (or future children). Goto Kinji was a monster and he definitely deserved to be eaten, no doubt. What's funny is that he was also using the term "livestock", but with different thing in mind. Original Gotos thought of villagers as a free labour force, new Gotos thought of them as food. Marvellous.
I loved this retrospection episode. We learned about how Gin became what she became and the questions arised like what happened to their child, but I guess it's that man. All her surroundings despised, hated her and instead of trying to escape and live her life somewhere else (like a normal person would do) she's chosen revenge lasting decades. She was indeed twisted to begin with and her struggles only fueled her cruel nature. Still hard to say what exactly was in her mind during her weird smiles and grimaces while hugging the priest's son... But she's a fascinating character, being able to make whole village dance as she plays. I wonder if those people she met at the end had some part in it... maybe they are the current Kuge family? Great example of what the cruel environment can do to an already twisted young person.
why is this show so underrated? the quality, the camera work, the setting, the acting, the story overall - it's all so captivating. it needs more praise
are they rlly giving us a pitful and sad pov of that child eating monster like woah
most serial killers who were the worst monsters had pitiful childhood stories though xd most of the time someone helped to create them (not always, sometimes it's just a born psychopath)
those two eps were one of the most intersting eps of any show i've ever watched I mean, I really wanted to do bad things to Goto Iwao... I hate this character sooo much and it speaks volumes about the actor's skills (or he really is a mad maniac, can't tell). Same with actor playing Keisuke, his dilemma and pain is portrayed so well. Those neuances, ahh And I REALLY WANT TO KNOW NOW who That Man really is, who Gin Goto is and what she did, how did it start, I can't wait... Is That Man a child's soul trapped in an old man's body? Or did his mind not develop through time? But why is he eating children and is aggressive?
I don't even care atp about the illogical lack of action from police and millitary, I'm aware it's a bit unrealistic
This whole series was... just SO SATISFYING. That's the word. Nobody does it this way. In productions of this kind there's always some unnecessary drama or dragging, or complicating things, or bullies being unbeatable - sure, sometimes it's a good approach - but here we just got MEAT, pure content without bullshit. It's so refreshing and I LOVED IT SO MUCH GIVE ME MORE RIGHT NOW
It shows that the plot, characters, fighting, all was derived from the manga style. The fighting seemed supernatural, while plotwise it wasn't - just like in anime/manga (I know it was based on webtoon tho). So watching it felt like watching anime brought to life
Omg those nc scenes... after the ep ended my whole neighbourhood went out for a smoke. The arousal they must fake looks so real that I have no idea how the actors handle it 😂
I really like the title sequence in this one. Music goes very well with the dynamic animations. I just started watching it so that's what I wanted to point out basically 🙂

I love the poster though... so raw and unique, that's what brought me here.
