What I also like about japanese bl's is that they usually focus on one, main storyline, without those unnecessary, mostly boring sub plots. Therefore we can enjoy our leads the whole time 🥰
I really got to like japanese BL's. They have this weirdness, awkwardness in them, but also a distinctive atmosphere, good actors, slow paced plot which is nothing extraordinary yet very mesmerizing. And also beautiful shots, good editing, cool color grading, raw landscapes and small japanese towns/atmospheric streets in the background. It's something that thai bl's lack in general - I avoid their colorful, loud productions, which are the majority.
This one i really like, mostly because I love characters like Takara (ah, that old love for a boy like this during my school days...) and the dynamic of the leads reminds me of Utsukushii Kare :D I'm curious how their relationship develops. I also love I Hear the Sunspot, which is now airing.
Can't wait for the day when we all gather here to talk about the 3rd episode... SUNDAY EVENING COME FASTER PLS at the same time, don't, since it's the day before Monday... I'm torn.

I really admire the actors, I feel embarassed just by looking at this whole crew around them during intimate scenes 🫣 I wouldn't be able to do it with a serious face in front of other people
Oh, let me tell you about that boys love show I stumbled upon while browsing through streaming options. Now, I’m…
oh my god, just don't watch it then... I don't see any point in making so much effort to write a whole fucking ESSAY on how the one silly bl series lacks the "characters’ fears, hopes, and dreams"
THAT WAS... wow, they've beaten all other make out scenes in any bl. And the sex scene? I'm always annoyed by how they make them do stuff while covered with blanket waist down... like who does that?! It looks so ridiculous and fake... but here they creatively avoided it - not showing anything, but sparkling the imagination and making it feel so real. Def not the best plot wise, but great chemistry and spicyyyyyy scenes
Another thought for those who disagreed with the message (and you're totally allowed to feel the way you do):Shows…
Yeah, I don't entirely disagree with the message, I just always start to have deep thought processes in my head after watching something engaging xd The story was great tho, if considered individually, the ML had a lot to learn; his lessons were just too harsh imo (like literally dying being dismembered...). If only people like this serial killer or CEO are going to this whole terrifying hell ML saw, I'm willing to accept ML's punishment.
Then he should continue suffering for the country. May work on Asians with their “society above individuality”…
exactly, parents only want their children to graduate from one of the most prestigious universities in Seoul and become a manager or a doctor or a lawyer, but what about such needed specialists as plumbers, electricians, hair dressers, even workers in a factory or cleaners? Society can't function without the whole variety of positions so why some are considered shameful? I've seen this pattern in most k-dramas tbh - apart from doctor and lawyer, only a corporate machine position is prestigious enough for parents to be proud.
Then he should continue suffering for the country. May work on Asians with their “society above individuality”…
Also, if not for ML no one would punish this sick CEO bastard. He said himself that world is his playground, and indeed it is for sick individuals in power who bribe everyone. It is only hell for poor people who struggle to make their ends meet. This topic enraged me a little, I admit xd
"Just makes one think that religions really are just a tool to control society" - indeed that's one of the reasons religions exist in such forms. To control society in many aspects.

Exactly, it ignores the hardships of getting the first job in Korea, how young people have to compete so hard and live with constant shame of not getting a corporate job or earning enough... It ignores the fact that the sick society actually pushed him down that roof. And what about his trauma of witnessing someone's death right in front of him just before his interview? I remember from the show some monologue of his - that he feared all the time, feared to lose, to be shamed, to be rejected. Maybe, but rules of life in Korea can push a normal human to the edge. It would push me too.
Actually, it made me feel weird when I heard that the biggest dream of a ML was to become a corporate machine, to work till late evening everyday and not have anything from life actually... I thought "well, i'd rather start my own restaurant or anything than sit in an office everyday until idk 8pm". I understand them though, given their miserable circumstances stable job is the only thing that can guarantee some peace of mind. Poor, poor society.
Sponsored by SK's gov... sounds about right. Metaphorically - a slave owner doesn't want their slaves to end their lives. He wants them to work their asses off being afraid of ending it all.
Some of you say that this show changes the perception of life etc and I felt it too, but it makes me wonder... Some people are not lucky enough to have loving parents/spouse. This show basically emphasizes that the only thing that should keep you alive at bad times is fear of hurting others. It emphasizes that we live only for others and because of others. But what about ourselves? It completely misses the topics of self love, self worth or that we should enjoy life also for ourselves... The conclusion may be that if you have no one close to cry for you then you can kill yourself. Basically the whole plot of the series exists because of the mother and the girlfriend. What if no one cried for the ML?

I just skip to find "the scenes".
Shameful, disgusting behaviour 😁
